I love this thing, bought one for my girlfriend and since in bought Advanced Wars:Dark Conflict, i have lost my life to this bundle of tricks. Me and my friends are always down the pub playing 3 way battles that can take us upto 8 hours. Whats even more amazing is the battery lide, which lasts all through it without problems. The wi-fi access is cool, lets you play loads of people and with classics like mario kart and brain acadamy this get used more than my 360 (which i thought would be impossible). Probably gonna have to get a 2nd one, so my girlfriend can have her valentines day present back lol.

Customer Review: Takes the piss
I’ve bought some poor products in my time but this one absolutely takes the piss. Poorly made headphones (useless and painful), carry cases which don’t hold games securely, they just bash about in the box, screen protectors which obscure the screen and a static cloth that leaves more crap on your screen than when you started. Not sure if I’m more upset with myself for buying this or with Amazon for having the audacity to stock it.
Customer Review: This ruined my DS!
I was keen to get a screen protector for my DS and as this looked like a nice set of accessories that included protectors for both screens I was keen to get it. Admittedly I made a pigs ear of putting them on and found it impossible to get them in place without air bubbles. After a few attempts at repositioning I took them off and threw them away. It was then that I found that the high gloss screen had become scratchy to the touch with the stylus. These ’screen protectors’ have either left a film of adhesive that is impossible to clean off or stripped the anti-scratch coating that I should have been happy with in the first place. My new DS is ruined and I’ve a good mind to complain to the manufacturer.

For over a decade now fans have been wondering just what a team-up between Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog would be like. Everything from traditional platform games to complex role-playing titles have been suggested, but it’s fair to say nobody imagined that it would finally happen in the form of an athletics simulator. It’s officially licensed from the 2008 Beijing Olympics though (Sega already had the license for their own more traditional tie-in) and contains all the usual events you’d expect including the 100m sprint, swimming, judo, table tennis, hammer throwing and archery. Sega have even been talking about using the new Wii Zapper controller for a spot of clay pigeon shooting.

More than twenty-five characters from both universes will be playable in the game, including not just Mario and Sonic but also Luigi, Tails, Yoshi, Knuckles, Bowser, Doctor Eggman, Princess Peach and Amy. Other characters will have cameos as judges such as Cream the Cat and Toad. You’d expect some characters to be naturally better at some sports than others but each has their own strengths and weakness, with even Sonic’s incredible speed mitigated by his slow acceleration. The whole game is developed by Sega but overseen by legendary Nintendo creator Shigeru Miyamoto, with full tournament and missions modes as well as online leaderboards for all the different events. The name may sound like an April Fool’s joke at first but this crossover could well be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Mario and Sonic is the best DS game I have because it’s graphics are bright and colorful and the controls are amazing! You use every single function the DS has and they all make sense. There are 24 events (more that the wii game) and they are all fun and challenging. The sound is amazing, catchy and so addictive. You can chose up to 16 characters. Once you unlock all the events you can work on circuit or mission mode. You can play with friends up to 4 players with 1 game card but only some of the events are available but still good fun. It’s such a good game. It is way better than the wii game. Just get it and I promise you you’ll love it!

The legendary game maker’s Nintendo and Sega join and make a FANTASTIC GAME FOR ALL AGES! It’s got over 20 olympic mini-games and 25 other random mini-games. It has Nintendo Wi-fi connection it also has Single-card ds download play and also Multi-card ds download play! it has 90 missions to do and 16 characters to pick from, there is a mode called Circuit mode which is pretty much story mode it has 3 Circuit classes: Beginner’s Class, Advanced Class and Master’s Class, all-together it has 15 circuits and each circuit can take up to 20 minutes so it has lots of gameplay and if you just want to play mini-games instead doing a circuit or mission you can just select “Single Match” mode there you can play all the mini-games you have unlocked so far! If you touch aAthletics you will find 7 minigames to play and unlock, the 1st is 100M, the 2nd is 400M, the 3rd is 400M Hurdles, the 4th is Long Jump, the 5th is Triple Jump, the 6th is Javelin Throw, and the 7th is Hammer Throw and if you go back and touch Aquatics you will find 2 minigames the 1st is 100M Freestyle and the 2nd is 10M Platform, press B to go back and touch Gymnastics and you will find two mini-games the 1st is Trampoline (which is EXCELLENT!) and Vault, again press B to go back and you will find Achery, Table Tennis (Ping Pong), Fencing (EXCELLENT!), Shooting, Cycling and if you’ve unlocked it you will find “Drean Events” tap that and you will find Dream Race, Dream Canoeing, Dream Boxing (EXCELLENT!), Dream Table Tennis (Dream Ping Pong), Dream Basketball, Dream Shooting, Dream Fencing (EXCELLENT!) and Dream Long Jump. Customer Review: Works perfect with my PS2
Now why do I have to rate how much fun this was? Well anyway, I picked this up for my PS2 after getting an HD LCD TV. Composite video looked like garbage so I needed something. This outputs 480i resolution nicely, sorry I can’t say anything about 1080 or even 720, but I lack anything that even outputs that.

From what I have seen, these cables work with the PS3 as well, but at that point you should probably be using an HDMI connection anyway. For the low price, I can’t argue. Quality is worlds better than what I had before and I would recommend this to every PS2 owner who owns a decent TV.

Fantavision Customer Review: A Unique Blast
Fantavision is the only fireworks game I’ve ever came across and really offers up a completely unique twist of the family puzzle genre.
Like many simple puzzle games, the object is to link the same coloured lights together. When you have 3 or more, you can detonate them and they explode into pretty fireworks. Essentially its like bust-a-move without the bubbles and blocks and a real graphical treat for each chain you manage to create.
Yet it does feel completely unique. Whilst its never really challenging, it does hold you attention, and the two player modes make for maddening gameplay and lots of fun.
I’d recommend this to anyone who wants a fresh change to the usual gaming format as its a high quality piece of gaming. The replays are beautiful too!

When I first brought my PS2 I wasn’t realy intrested in this game one bit going instead for the more arcade games like Ridge Racer5… but after hearing so much about it I thought I’d give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised.Game play wise it has a lovely relaxed feeling about it even when the action on screen is getting very tense with the graphics never getting to muddled however colourful and complex they get on screen, the fireworks are simply amazing to be seen in the replay [which you can save]Sit back and play this game if you want a change from the norm.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, designed for the soon-to-be-released Sony PlayStation 3, rocked the E3 convention in May 2006 with an astounding 15 minute trailer. Featuring the most revealing display of Kojima Production’s premier title, MSG4 details the world where Snake must under go his final mission. In a world overrun by private military companies (PMCs), wars are no longer fought over nations or ideologies. MGS4 is a next-generation adventure set in the aftermath of MGS2: Sons of Liberty. The concept behind the latest Metal Gear Solid project is “no place to hide,” and this edition in the series will force Snake into unexpected circumstances with an all-new storyline that breaks away in some ways from the previous MGS franchise entries. Although no release date is set, producer Hideo Kojima did reveal some very juicy tidbits about the game and the storyline. “Until now,” said Kojima, “we’ve released two entries of the MSX2 Metal Gear series, and three entries in the Metal Gear Solid series. Add to this Portable Ops, and you get a total of six titles. All mysteries will be cleared up in Metal Gear Solid 4.”

Kojima was very clear about the finality of MSG4, leaving gamers to wonder, “Will Snake die?!” When asked if the story will come to this sort of an end, Kojima responded without the slightest bit of vagueness, “It will come to an end.” The MGS4 E3 trailer showed a number of characters from the Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid histories. This final installment is sure to deliver loads of cameos, in fact, it is rumored that nearly all the characters from the series will make an appearance.

In addition to a return of classic Metal Gear Solid characters, the gameplay systems from part three are also expected to make a comeback. The camouflage system from part three will make it into MGS4, with the addition of “Octacamo.” This name appears to be formed from the words “octopus” and “camouflage,” and players will be awestruck by the chameleon-like camo that changes with the surroundings. Think if it this way, if Snake is standing next to a wall worn out with holes, he too will appear to be riddled with holes. It has also been revealed that MGS4 will have online play, but no specifics have been released. Although very little information is known about the game’s visuals, rumor has it that MGS4 is expected to be the finest representation of console graphics on the PS3, and it is expected that they will just get better and better as the game nears its released date in 2007.

I bought one of these as a replacement to my original power supply, which overheated after many hours due to the vents being covered. After shelling out near fifty quid, choking at the cost, I took every care not to let it happen again, making sure the supply was sitting free and never to have the 360 on for too long without letting it have a cool down. I noticed right away that this was not a genuine like for like product. It gets blisteringly hot after an hour and seems louder than the original (though this may not be true as I had the original covered). I used it for a month without hassle, until my girlfriend had been playing for a couple of hours, the 360 suddenly turned itself off. A red light flashed on the unit for a second before a hiss and sizzling sound and a lot of smoke came pouring out of the vents. The back of the supply is melted and buckled in the middle. Neither of us are excessive gamers, occasionally we’ll pick it up and very occasionally we’ll play for more than an hour or two. The model of power supply pictured is exactly the same as the one melted to my floor, do not be cheated out. Fifty quid is a lot of money to shell out every time you want to have a session on your xbox, look elsewhere. Microsoft don’t offer an official replacement as far as I’m aware, so lamentably I couldn’t suggest where to get a quality one. Ross.

Customer Review: Hard to read - keep Google and Wikipedia handy
It’s obvious that the author knows what he’s doing. The games that he’s produced and are described in this book are amazing. There was a real buzz around XNA Racer on the community forums at the start of the year. However, I buy a book to read offline with occasional keyboard time and as such, I find this book difficult to recommend. There is too little exposition around the key concepts and the book lurches from over-explaining the basics to assuming black belt matrix algebra knowledge. A few examples: * This book is about 3D games programming but has way too few explanatory diagrams. * The author mentions point sprites as an alternative to billboards. OK, so what’s a point sprite? What are the pros and cons of point sprites vs billboards? This is a minor example but a good editor would surely have demanded an explanatory paragraph or two. * Did the author think the book would be published in colour? The text often refers to coloured elements in black and white diagrams. * The sample code contains too much of the author’s own engine library code, making it difficult to incorporate into your own efforts. * If it’s a bad idea (and it is) to use foreach in game loops, NEVER use foreach in code samples. Probably the most frustrating thing about the book is the prose style that is at times unreadable and occasionally nonsensical. The book also has an extraordinarily high number of mistakes in the text - I’m guessing this was rushed to market to beat the inevitable XNA book rush. A very talented developer let down by his publisher (and apparent lack of proofreading effort). When does Petzold’s XNA book come out?!

I’ve got the White 360 the new 1 with a HDMI port and i got the 120gb HDD free with it because it was on offer. I had the old 360 and now my new 1 matches the elite, you do need the 120gb now because with the december update on xbox live market place, it allows you to download games on to your 360. Such as classic arcade games eg Sonic, Street fighter now it lets you get xbox original like Halo 1, Fable and many more also now map packs are in the 1gb+ so you do need it. Also once you upgrade you DON’T need a transfer cable off Microsoft, you can just recover your gamertag and then once you’ve done that anything you bought off marketplace you can re-download on to your new HDD because it knows you have paid for the download. I bought things lke Shivering isles exp for Oblivion and when i went to it, it had a tick next to it that showed i already paid for it so got it again. I think this is brilliant and now PS3 has nothing on 360!!!

120 gigabyte will be great for all those demos, videos ect… off Xbox live. All that space will mean you do not have to delete some things to make room for other downloads now and again. Obviously do not buy this if you don’t have Xbox live. A normal 360 game takes up about 100mb of memory space, which is nothing realy. But don’t buy it yet. It has already come down by 20 pounds in the last few months and it will keep dropping if people just don’t buy it!!!!

I have had a PS3 for some time now and i can safely say it’s a fantastic console, and to be bundled for the same price with GT5 pro is amazing! I bought this on a whim while getting halo 3, and I have to say it’s one of my smarter decisions. It snaps onto the controller with minimal force, and doensn’t go anywhere. it’s perfect for typing text messages real fast. I am the only one of my friends who types names and descriptions for my halo 3 film clips and screen shots because I have this device. It comes with an improved headset, also, that plugs into the bottom of the chatpad. It, unfortunately, is not compatible with other xbox 360 wired headsets, but the one it comes with has better reception anyway. My only concern is the in-line volume and on/off switch. It wouldn’t work in the same place anyway with the chatpad there, but it can be slightly frustrating. I have noticed, however, that it is sensitive with sound, and you can whisper and make quiet noises without the mic picking it up, which is good if you like to talk to team mates during an online game, and don’t have time to flick the switch. If you do not have a headset for your xbox 360, I would recommend buying this instead; it comes with a very good headset, and it includes the chatpad, which seamlessly, and near weightlessly, makes messaging a whole lot easier

i bought this game and i was so excited i couldn’t wait. well it was so boring ! at first it was fun for about 10 minutes then i turnt it off the cats are very cute obviously but the rest was a let down. i had been given some mony to buy a gba game cos even though i got a ds and psp and ps2 and gbc and pc i still thoroughly enjoy the gba. i think it has let the gba down. it was just too simple. i like a game that’s a bit more challenging. pls if your searching for a first gba game don’t get catz. maybe dogz is better, i don’t know. i ain’t gonna try. it was a rip off. ?25 from game. it won’t even worth ?15. just think what your doing.

Catz is a very good game if you don’t have a pet at home but it still can be just as fun if you have a cat or pet.It is focused on children as you have to go to school and the writing is very simple.There are lots of breeds to choose from such as the tiger cat,munchkin and black persian.You have to have had a few cats to choose from all breeds.I find this game overall good.It does get tiring after a while though.

After the disapointment of the GBA ‘The Incredibles’ Game, I hesitated before buying my 8 year old son this game, fearing another movie tie-in disaster. To be honest, I don’t know why I was suprised that ‘The Incredibles’ was an awful game, in my opinion Movie Tie-ins almost always are. So I am pleased to report that my son has actually really enjoyed playing this one. There is enough variety to keep him interested and challenged, without feeling the need to throw the GBA console across the room. (Yes, he really did do that! Luckily it still works…) Maybe the key point is that this has thought outside of the restrictions of the film, and come up with some ‘what came next’ ideas. Personally I don’t like hand held console games (I am not even convinced that the new generation are really worth it) but this has kept my son happy, so I feel the money was worth it for once.

This was the first game I bought with my GBA. It is the most repetitive game I have ever played. You’d probably never finish it because you’d have died of boredom before you got half way through. The graphics are reasonable for an early GBA game but that doesn’t make up for the game itself. On each level you do exactly the same thing you did on the last level, mainly walking around looking for map pieces and avoiding the yellow-suited guys who knock your health down slightly if you bump into them. Not hard to complete the levels considering you can see where you’re supposed to be going on the map. Overall, too repitive but has bright graphics.

This game is great for kids, but not so for adults. The graphics were amazing and the sound was good (it isn’t like those annoying repetitive tunes). You go around looking for bits to Boo’s door and then putting them together like a jigsaw puzzle at the end. Adults and older kids might find this too repetitive but is fun and challenging. Your enemies are the anti-kid monsters in these yellow suits with a suction tubes. You can knock them out is by roaring at them (how cool is that!) Overall a fun and intermediate game!

I bought a Logitech wheel for myself after my official 360 wheel went wrong (again!) The performance of wheel compared to x-box simply put, is more comfortable, better built, clamps down to a surface firmer and reacts just as well as the force fed wheel but considerably cheaper. Customer Review: High quality gamepad that works perfectly on Vista
I bought two of these XBox 360 controllers for my new Vista PC.

Installation:
- An error message came up during installation but they seemed to install OK.

Use:
- The controller update software kept telling me I wasn’t connected to the internet (when I was!) but this went away when I updated the update software myself so to speak.
- I have used them to play Lego Star Wars II and they work perfectly. They have a nice look and feel. Build quality is excellent.

Concept:
- Very smart of Microsoft to produce a controller that works with PCs and their gaming platform.

Conclusion:
- Aside form a few unimportant hiccups with installation on Vista, this is a quality product from Microsoft.

Customer Review: Great fun!
This game uses all functions of the DS well. The gameplay takes place on the bottom screen with the top screen being an extension of the scene (also the help tips appear here). You can play as multiple different characters. You use the directional control pad (or the ABXY buttons for LH gamers!) to move each character (although the game is set in a 3D world, the actual gameplay is only 2D so you can only move side to side or up and down). You will need to use your stylus all the time to enable each character to perform their own unique ‘moves’ to enable progression through the game. The clever part of this game is the ability to switch between playing as different characters (e.g. Shrek, Puss and Artie at the beginning of the game), individually, in pairs and as a team, making them work together to get to the end of each level. Each character has different individual skills, and you will need to use them separately to access different parts of each level to allow the other characters to continue through to the end of the level. E.g., Puss is the only one who can jump to ledges and ‘roll attack’ through small gaps; Artie is the only one who can cross water by floating on his shield and activate some magic auras by throwing his shield at a glowing object above; Shrek can break weak floors or crash through walls. If you want to progress to the next level, you will need to have moved all 3 characters through to the end of the level so that they are standing in front of the Mystic Exit together, otherwise it won’t activate! Once you have selected the mode of play and the save slot, you will be taken through the story thus far. You need to turn the DS around by 90 degrees to view it as a 2-page book. The left page has stained-glass style artwork (as per the opening of the films), and the right page has the text of the story. The great thing about this is that Donkey actually narrates the story, embellishing the standard written text as only he can! This is great fun for all, but particularly good for young children who cannot read the story-book text very fast. After Donkey has finished his story telling, you are off to the Apprentice Hall where you find yourself playing as Shrek (on his own). After successfully progressing through the Apprentice Hall playing as all the 3 characters (separately and together) you start the game ‘proper’. There are 4 ‘worlds’ - Bogey Byway, Raiders Bay, Maze of Spades, Castlehoff. In each of these 4 worlds there are 4 levels to complete (3 levels and a final level). In each level you will need to collect a number of golden fairies and coins. You cannot proceed to the next world without first completing the previous world. It is a great game that uses all the functions of the DS well. It’s certainly not a difficult game, and perhaps aimed at the younger market, however I think adults will enjoy this game and not become too bored as you need to think on an additional ‘logical’ level to complete each level using mutliple characters. GAMEPLAY INFORMATION:- 2 MODES OF PLAY - a) single play, and (b) multiplay (where you can host a game or join a game using the NDS wireless capabilities); 3 separate SAVE SLOTS to save 3 separate games - enabling multi independent users; Great SOUND EFFECTS throughout the whole game - Donkey narrates the initial story and all the ‘help’ icons, plus each character will frequently make character-specific noises (Shrek farts and burps!); MAGIC allows you to do such things as help defeat enemies and access ledges for those characters that can’t jump - if you hold the L or R shoulder button, a purple haze will cover the screen, and you can use your magic on the objects you can see flashing through the haze; COLLECT 26 GOLDEN FAIRIES to break the spell and COLLECT 84 COINS to unlock bonuses and secrets; Collect MERLIN’S HOLOGRAM BOXES throughout gameplay to see what has recently happened in Far Far Away.

When the 2007 live-action Transformers movie was released, it was inevitable that it, like all other big blockbuster titles, would receive a video game adaption, the question however was; would it be good or bad. Well, the answer is both yes and no, Transformers has a very easy concept to turn into a video game and more recently we have started to see an improvement in video game movie tie-ins (King Kong, Spiderman 2, Batman Begins), however, of course a great movie can always make for a bad video game. Now as for the concept, the storyline is based on that of the movie, in which the Transformers have come to Earth searching for the Allspark, the ultimate source of power in the known universe and the very thing that created them. There are several characters you get to play as, each with varying strengths and different alternate modes. The highlight of the game, is that you get to choose which side you can play as. You choose either the Autobots, the heroic group sworn to protect all life, or the Decepticons, whose only purpose is to destroy and conquer. Now, the gameplay differs onsiderably between each faction, the Decepticons campaign probably gets the higher props in the ‘fun’ factor, seeing as though most of their campaign involves destroying everything in sight. The Autobots campaign is more made up of racing around to areas within a certain time limit. Both campaigns have a good deal of shooting, driving, fighting and exploring. Graphics wise, the game looks quite good, the in-game models look very close to the CG movie models excellent designs. There is also quite a bit of detail put into the environments. The cutscenes are mostly hit-and-miss, some look great (especially the final ones and the intro), whilst some look severely rushed. As for interaction, the Transformers interact with their environments very well, they can climb, jump and move at such a freedom no other Transformers game has allowed. Add to the fact they can transform into various vehicles further expands that freedom. The game also contains some very impressive destructible environments, with debree thrown everywhere in quite a realistic fashoin when a building is destroyed. You can also use certain parts of the environment as weapons. Now as for gameplay, this is where the game has most of it’s problems. Driving feels quite good, as you can boost and shoot at the same time. The game also has a melee combat system which allows for the Transformers to go hand-to-hand with each other. However, much of the combat can feel simplistic, especially when you appear to use the same strategy against a differing foe. As for shooting, it’s only really useful against weaker enemies and Human-based vehicles, the stronger oponents usually block every shot with the only effect being to slow them down a bit. Only a few weapons, such as Blackout’s EMP blasts or Ironhide’s cannons, seem to have any effect on the stronger foes. This is where you can use pieces of the environment, like other cars, lamposts etc. as weapons which does add slightly to the gameplay value. The sound feels quite well done, one musical score in particular felt movie-quality and the sounds of the explosions, transformations and weapon fire, don’t feel too bad at all. It’s probably the voice-acting in the cutscenes that were done the poorest. For nostalgic value, not only has Peter Cullen, who voiced Optimus Prime in the original series and the new movie, recorded lines for the game, but also Frank Welker, the original voice of Megatron, lended his talents. Now, admittidly whilst it was good to hear it again in the role after so many years, his voice doesn’t quite fit the look and attitude of the frightening and viscious movie Megatron (voiced in the movie by Hugo Weaving). Added to the value is that professional voice actor/live actor Keith David provides the voice for the Decepticon, Barricade. Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox also lend their voices for the game, although in all honesty, they really don’t sound like they were trying much, with Megan Fox sounding more like a ditz than she ever truly has done. For fans of the series, not only do you get to play as many Transformers characters on either side, but the game also has added characters not seen in the movie (ala the Spider-Man adaptions) and also plenty of bonus features for replay value. All in all, whilst this could have been much better, it is fairly enjoyable while it lasts and to date, is the most complete Transformers gaming experience (as good as Atari’s excellent PS2 title was, it lacked much of the interaction present in this game and also many of the enemies lacked the ability to transform, even though in most other areas, is all-in-all a better game) All-in-all, this game won’t please everybody, but as a fan, I enjoyed it for what it was, simplistic, mindless fun. The Game Boy Advance features power that would have been unthinkable back when the original Game Boy was launched. Its 32-bit RISC CPU runs circles around the former machine’s 8-bit workhorse, allowing it to process program instructions much faster. What that means to everyday gamers is more intricate visuals, more simultaneous movement on the screen, and better sound. In fact, the often-annoying bleeps and bloops of old-school Game Boy titles are being replaced with digitised stereo sound. When you first pick up the system, you’ll notice how lightweight it is. It’s a little less than 150 grams, but a little larger than a deck of playing cards. The GBA’s wider shape fits better into a wider range of hands, and the screen is fitted with antiglare technology–you need pretty good light to play by, but you won’t be craning your neck and tilting the unit to see around the reflection of the light bulb in your screen.

You’ll also notice the graphics. Essentially sporting redesigned SNES technology, you’ll see things on the GBA that the big consoles do, such as scaling (making objects larger or smaller) and rotation effects–technological advances that will affect the look of everything from crossing a finish line to scoring a goal to crawling through a dungeon. The extra processing muscle also means you can network up to four Game Boy Advance units together, via the communication cable, for multiplayer fun from one shared cartridge. Because the Game Boy Advance system is backward-compatible, it will play not only its own line of colourful games–including such launch titles as Super Mario Advance, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, and Kuru Kuru Kurin–but also almost all of the monochrome and colour games that have already been released for the previous Game Boy systems. It seems that Nintendo have wisely struck a balance between size, price, and power consumption. And considering how well the old 8-bit system weathered the decade’s technological storms, the Game Boy Advance seems here to stay. –Porter B Hall

Customer Review: Decent enough…
The GBA maybe showing its age against the DS and PSP but it’s still a decent portable gaming system and there’s nearly always something for everyone here.

The handheld has a large list of games plus it can play older Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles giving you access to a massive library of games to choose from. If you have the right cables you can link up with other GBA’s to play multiplayer games and even link up with the Gamecube on certain games.

The only major problem with the system is the lack of a back light display which means that if you play the GBA in a poorly lit place you won’t see very much. There are ways around this (worm light, afterburner…) but you are worried about this I recommend getting the GBA SP or a DS instead.

If you are looking for a cheap portable gaming system, you won’t go far wrong with the GBA. Get some decent rechargeable batteries and bus/train journeys will never be the same again.

Customer Review: Good system for the kids
This is an OK first game system for the kids. it will keep them amused for some time, although, if you are used to the screen lighting up, this is not for you. but once you get used to that, you can enjoy the console, plus the ability to link to other users can take you to another level, so long as you have the same game !!!!
