Linksys Wireless-B Game Adapter WGA11B - Network adapter - Ethernet - 802.11b Lag-free head-to-head or Internet gaming, without stringing wires! The Wireless-B Game Adapter gives any wired-Ethernet-equipped game console wireless connection capabilities. The Game Adapter can be used in two different ways. If you have an existing home wireless network with a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your PlayStation 2, Xbox or GameCube attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, use a pair of Game Adapters to form a “cable-less cable” between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming - in the same room, or all the way across the house. It’s completely driver-free, so there’s no software-installation hassle, and it works on any platform. And the innovative Channel Selector Button with LED display makes wireless network configuration into child’s play. If you’re using two Game Adapters, just press their Channel Selector Buttons until the channel numbers match, and you’re connected. To connect to an existing wireless network, press the Button to select Infrastructure mode. If your setup’s a little different, there’s an easy-to-use PC-based Setup Wizard to guide you through. Then just plug the Adapter into your game box, and go. The Wireless-B Gaming Adapter provides lag-free gaming with communication speeds up to 11Mbps. So spend your time gaming, not stringing wires, with the Linksys Wireless-B Gaming Adapter.
Customer Review: Works great for xbox live
I use this with my 360 and it works just fine. I can stream video, music, and download stuff from xbl with out any problems and setup is as simple as plugging it in and then pushing the blue button until the lcd screen says In.
Also on the 360 you can select what network you want to connect to if there is more than 1 available by going in to the setup menu and selecting edit network settings.

Customer Review: Best shooter on 360 - better than Gears of War
Just a quick review - I LOVE THIS GAME! Best shooter currently out on the 360. Better than Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War and Ghost Recon. I still play it and I’ve had it nearly a year now. Buy it buy it buy it.
Customer Review: Xbox Live
This game is a must for anyone who has Xbox Live. I started playing at christmas 07 and didnt stop playing it for a whole year. Without xbox live it is still a good game.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (Xbox 360)
In a nutshell:
One of the most respected Western role-playing games of all time is back with huge improvements in graphics and accessibility, including a completely real-time combat system and the largest, most detailed game world ever seen. Phew.

The lowdown:
Although previous Elder Scrolls games have enjoyed something of a like it or loathe it reputation, this latest sequel has the means to appeal to everyone thanks to one simple improvement: its incredible new graphics. Unlike many role-playing games it is viewed from a first person perspective, with a game world portrayed in a staggering amount of detail, and realistic psychics and characters that genuinely seem to be going on about their own separate lives. The game’s real appeal though lies in the huge freedom: play it exactly how you want.

Most exciting moment:
Using the new combat engine to fight off dozens of enemies, then stealing one of their mounts and riding off into the sunset.

Since you ask:
Emperor Uriel Septim VII is voiced by Star Trek and X-Men luminary Patrick Stewart, but all the characters in the game have full spoken voiceovers instead of just onscreen text. This is the next generation, you know.

The bottom line:
One of the most realistic and accessible role-playing games ever made.

Customer Review: good good
this game is the first game i ever got for the 360 and even today it beats assassins creed and halo 3,because its endless. with this game you don’t have levels and boundarys telling you your going the wrong way, because every way is the right way.you go through the tutorial with simple enemies and understandable story line, you choose your class and when your finished you go where you want you kill, steal, hide from, whoever you want.if you dont feel like doing the main storyline, sod it become an assassin or a thief,or a gladiator.earn money to buy better weapons and armour and become solid and then do the main storyline. as for the battle system one button the block one to magic one to attack all you have to do is move and decide which way to kill them.various magic ability’s can be learned or bought, like your elements ice fire thunder and water, you can unlock doors lock pick or magic, telekinesis, breath under water summon monsters to help out against a tougher opponent. the graphics are very good capturing the environment as you roam around and the faces of different races if there expression towards you is angry or happy.swords axes bows and arrows are all detailed depending on the material, its just a shame about the blood.structures such as houses in town and farms are very good too. with a variety of everything to do its just the best game to come out for years(apart from when fable 2 comes out)for any console,so i recommend you buy this game and cherish it.
Customer Review: Prepare for your social life to end.
If you only get 5 games for Xbox 360 this has to be one of them, maybe even if you only get 1. There are massive pop-up graphical issues, but with a world so large with many different creatures and 100s of missions to do you will not be complaining. Powering up your Character is a lot of fun. Be careful when you start to choose the right creature type for you, because you can’t change that later and you’ll be playing as the same one for many hours. I would put on this game and then check my watch later and realise I’d just spent 4 hours collecting plants, mixing potions and doing a couple of side missions. Just finishing the main story line is to miss the point. Highly recommended to all and sundry.

Customer Review: Nice Box
This is a decent kit for hauling around your PSP. The box is very sturdy and has plenty of room. The car lighter adapter does come in handy for those of us who spend a good deal of the day in a vehicle. The screen protector is a bit cheesy and adds a bit of haze to the screen but serves it’s purpose of stopping screen scratches (which the PSP is very prone to). The only real gripe I have is that the backing of the case came loose right away, but this was easily fixed with a hot glue gun. Oh, also, the little three game case that it shows in the picture was not included, instead there were about 8 clear plastic covers for games which I think work better anyway. It also came with a couple extra thumb controller buttons which are not shown or mentioned and a USB cable, not shown.
Customer Review: Not for grown ups.
I dont know what I was thinking buying something as bulky as this product. I guess when I was looking at buying this I was set on protecting my PSP…which Ill give it that, the box is very durable and can handle a little rough handling BUT unless youre a kid whose already used to carrying a LUNCHBOX, Id look to something that doesnt resemble a cosmetics case. Also, the Headphones weren’t very impressive at all(might as well have been wax paper)and were a tad annoying because they’ll retract any time you move your head or the PSP. Its a swollen thumb down for the Pro Gamers Kit…sorry.

Timeshift (Xbox 360)

It’s never obvious what to make of delays in video games. Sometimes it’s simply an indication of a problem production that ends up looking out of date before it’s even released. Other times though it’s simply evidence of ruthless perfection: thankfully TimeShift seems to be the latter. At first glance it seems like any other first person shoot `em-up, with some technically impressive but artistically ordinary visuals. What makes it unique though is the gameplay, with the best use of time travel in a game since Prince of Persia.

The story of the game involves the unlikely named Aiden Krone go back in time and changing history to suit him - kind of like a more evil version of Back to the Future, Part II. However, the time travelling doesn’t end there as the special suit you’re strapped into to chase after him also allows you to stop, rewind or slow down time whenever you want. Since Krone has got his own version of the same kind of time suit many of the enemies can’t even be properly seen under normal conditions because they’re moving too fast, but there are more subtle uses for the rewind and stop powers. Slipping past guards or running through a burning building becomes child’s play, while stopping time, running up to an enemy to grab his gun and then nipping back to cover to shoot him with it is just one of the game’s unique pleasures. Even if Doctor Who wouldn’t approve.

Customer Review: One unique gameplay aspect wrapped around a derivative FPS
If you’ve played through “The Orange Box” and “Halo 3″ and are looking for more original FPS fodder, look away now. Almost all of the solo campaign play is reminiscent of HalfLife2 with dabs of the Halo trilogy added to mix it up a little. It’s as if a committee of businessmen asked “what’s gone down well lately then?” and set about steeling other developers ideas. And given how long this game has been in production, that probably did happen at some stage. So why am I still playing it then? Because, even though this game is a loveless void of facsimile with fairly dated game-play, YOU CAN BEND SPACE-TIME. After a while, you realize that the only weapon you would really need is a big spanner, because once you’ve paused time, run around a soldier and then happy-slapped him from behind, what’s the need to have elaborate high-tech weaponry? Ok, there are those semi-scary time-bending supersoldiers to deal with from time to time, but since they are expecting to win, pinning them with explosive crossbow bolts is amazingly satisfying. I laughed once when I picked up a tossed grenade, reversed time to prevent the thing going off and then deposited between one of these supersoldiers’ legs. He actually said “huh? impossible…” before going up his own posterior. Classic. So there you have it. If you are a Valve or Bungie zealot, stay well away. If, on the other hand, you can get over the obvious influences (ahem) of this title, and especially the “circa 2004 feel”, you might just have a good giggle with this one. Oh, I should mention that there are some clever puzzle solving aspects to this game that are impossible to complete unless you utilize your time-space bending powers, so it’s not all slow motion slaughter. Frankly though, I think this game would have worked much better as a third-person shooter ala “Gears of War”. Maybe next time, eh lads?
Customer Review: Very Average
This game looked cool when i bought it being able to control time and all that but when i played it i found it was a very bland generic shooter. the story was confusing and i couldn’t really see why i was bothering to travel to a different timeline to fix whatever went wrong which isn’t really explained very well. don’t even get me started on the vehicel sections which appear to have just been thrown in at the last minute. And playing through the levels i found to be a bit of a chore. Buy Halo 3 or gears of war instead. or kane and lynch and mass effect are out soon. i’ll be trading in timeshift for one of those titles

Limited Edition Platinum Game Boy Advance
This is a special limited-edition, platinum-colored Game Boy Advance console.

When you first pick up the Game Boy Advance system, you’ll be amazed at how little it weighs. At fewer than 5 ounces and a little larger than a deck of playing cards, the system easily fits into a shirt pocket without any sag. The GBA’s wider shape fits better into a wider range of hands. The former design too often pushed the left and right thumb knuckles together during gameplay. The new layout is comfortable for all ages, and the center screen orientation makes it easy to see.

Game Boy Color owners will find the GBA’s larger screen somewhat darker than they’re used to, but that’s because the screen is outfitted with antiglare technology. Like the old Game Boy Color, the color LCD is not backlit, so you need pretty good light to play by. Unlike that system, though, you won’t be craning your neck and tilting the unit to see around the hot-spot reflection of the light bulb in your screen.

But you’ll also notice the graphics. Sporting what’s basically a redesigned SNES technology, you’ll see things on the GBA that you see on big consoles, such as scaling (making objects larger or smaller) and rotation effects–technological advances that will affect the look of everything from crossing a finish line to throwing a touchdown pass to crawling through a dungeon.

Customer Review: Incredible.
This console was awesome. Surely 5 stars. It ranks equivalence to the SNES in graphics, so you can really get something nice out of it. It also plays Gameboy/Color games so it’s kind of the “GameBoy Ultimate.” It plays everything, it has SNES+ graphics, and it has several features. Along with the Gameboy Player, the E-reader, and several others, the GB link cable makes a comeback. You can be playing Mario Bros. with 4 of your friends, or hook up for more stuff. Excellent value, recommended.

Customer Review: Can’t expect anything more
It works just like any other 360 controller that I own, and it works just as well on my laptop.

Game Boy Advance SP Pink
At first look, you might think the Game Boy Advance SP is a sleek travel alarm clock; when closed, it’s just as tall and deep as the original GBA, but only half as wide. Its clamshell design protects the screen from everyday scratches. Open it up and the hinge will seek out a preferred, pre-set angle (about 150 degrees), though you can open it a bit wider or narrower for your own comfort. The hinge stands up well to lateral pressure.

Many decried the original GBA’s reflective LCD screen and its reliance on external light sources. The Game Boy Advance SP’s main feature–optional built-in lighting–fixes this complaint nicely. The quality of the backlighting is very good; it’s bright and clear when looking directly at the screen, though less so from other angles.

The SP comes with a power adapter that recharges a built-in lithium battery; our informal tests found that it takes about four hours to fully charge (you can play it while it’s plugged in and charging), and the battery lasts about 11 hours with the backlighting constantly on. Using the backlighting less often will conserve battery power.

Size, power, and affordability don’t come without trade offs, though. There’s no headphone jack here–you’ll need a separately sold adapter–and the system isn’t very loud at its highest volume. The L and R shoulder buttons are a fraction of the size they were on the GBA, and thus are harder to hit, and the reduced size of the SP is slightly less comfortable for adult hands than the GBA. The cartridge port placement on the lower part of the console is fine for GBA games, since they are flush with the console body, but older Game Boy Color carts will stick out in a way that takes some getting used to.

Overall, the SP is a significant improvement on, and seems just as rugged as, its predecessor–which has proven to be very rugged indeed. –Porter B Hall

Customer Review: There’s no need to cry with this guide
Devil May Cry 3 is a superb action game. The combat is truly dynamic with many spectacular moves but the level design is complex with many hard to find items. I must admit I would not have been able to complete the game without the aid of this guide. The book begins with profiles of the main characters and monsters and then moves on to the devil’s arms and the actions associated with them. Guns and items and key items are then listed followed by the six different styles and every move and attack related to each style. The walkthrough is very comprehensive with each mission given a recommended style and choice of weapons. A map is given as are the positions of all hidden items and orbs. All secret missions are detailed with advice on how to complete them. The guide also states the best way to deal with the many bosses. The basics of play are also included. The back of the book has many walkthrough area maps and a foldout section detailing every single special move Dante can use. The back page details all the unlockables. However, there is one blue orb fragment that is not in the guide. In the Subterranean Garden above and to the left of the God of Time Statue is a small passage. A fragment is inside. This guide was published before the release of the Special Edition and does not include the battles with the Jester and Vergil’s special moves with Yamato, Force Edge and Beowulf or his passage through the game. Otherwise for gamers having problems proceeding with this game this guide is highly recommended.

Mario Kart Advance: Super Circuit
Mario Kart 64 was one of the finest games released for the Nintendo 64 platform so it’s no surprise that the brilliant racing game would make it onto Nintendo’s powerful new handheld Game Boy Advance. And rest assured the game clearly takes full advantage of the graphic power and speed of the GBA. But this version owes more to the seminal Super Mario Kart on the SNES in that it doesn’t use the 3D environments of the N64 version.

Still, Nintendo’s expertise at sucking players into the game world is strongly evident, and Mario Kart Advance offers enough challenges to keep players, both young and old, entertained. Placing a familiar Nintendo personality, such as Mario, Luigi and even the mushroom man behind the wheel of a sputtering go-kart powered by a 50, 100, or 150-cc engine, the game lets players race computerised opponents or up to four other players (via a cable) on a variety of well-designed tracks. Multiplayer is the key to Mario Kart, and though you’ll need four cartridges for the full multiplayer experience there are some limited options for four-way play from a single cartridge.

Because karts lack the power and speed of games (and let’s face it you aren’t in it for the Gran Turismo 3 adrenalin-pumped experience), drivers must focus on collecting power-ups and non-lethal weapons, such as the snowball and minimiser, rather than negotiating hairpin turns on two wheels. Grabbing and using on-track items is the heart of the game’s fun: a strategically placed banana peel sends the unlucky victim into a spin, nailing an opponent with a turtle shell launches their vehicle skyward, and a rocket provides a quick boost to near-breakneck speeds.–Kristen Bowditch

Customer Review: Another classic!
I got this when it was first released, and despite some of the tracks appearing on the DS version of Mario Kart, I still miss this game as it was an excellent game of Mario Kart for the Nintendo GameBoy Advance! Mario Kart offered alot of tracks and weapons to use with the classic charaters to chose from, but this time, you could take the fun of Mario Kart anywhere with you, even to the toilet! Good gameplay with fast paced action and the graphics were good too on a GameBoy Advance game was amazing! But this was another classic Mario Kart game!
Customer Review: Mario Kart: Super Circuit
Another Mario game. This time a remake of a 64 and NES classic. This is really good game . To start with you have three modes, quick run a quick race on a ny track to warm up, Time Trial to break indignented records, and GP which is going into the cups and competing with the other racers. The racers are Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, toad, Peach, Donkey, Kong, and Wario.Obviously they all havce different abilities like faster accellaration, to weight to bash cars out of the way. Also you get item boxes with different weapons like bananas, classic blue shells, red shells, green shells lightning and Boo. on the game there are unlockable bonus tracks as well if you collect 100 coins on star cup to get to the bonus ones. There are also different types of speed 50cc,100cc and 150cc. Overall this is just a remake of a classic spruced up with better graphics and portablity. So get this its really cool and good say for long journeys in the car, ferry, or train. This has also been made out on the DS in another Remake that is very good too and better.

Customer Review: Wireless controller does not work.
This product did not work. My son took it out and tried to use it and the wireless did not work. It accepted some of the notes, but on the wrong keys. When he asked a friend, he told him that the wireless version did not work.

His sister has a wired controller, so they can play, but only with one player. They love the game and would love to have 2 which is why my son bought this one.

Because he selected this and drove the purchase, with my paying for it, I told him to call about returning, but he has not done that yet. Can you tell me if we can still return it?

Customer Review: My addiction
Coincidentally, I had just dug up my old PS version of FFT to replay, when I discovered that it was going to be re-released on PSP. This was my first tactics game, which led me to try others, but FFT by far surpassed them all. So I blew the dust off my PSP. Yes, the PSP version is the same game (shouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone: read the title), but the additional scenes and updated translation are well worth it. The plot and even particular conversations make more sense, and the Renaissance-like dialogue really enhances the aesthetics. I recall putting in 100+ hours (the clock only went up to 99) on the original, and I expect I’ll be doing it again.
Customer Review: One of the Finest Fantasies Out There
Final Fantasy Tactics was without a doubt one of the greatest Playstation games out there. Starting off as a cult classic it became a big success when it was released later as a Greatest Hits package. Ten years later and Final Fantasy Tactics is still one of the best Final Fantasy games ever made. Of all the Final Fantasy games, Tactics has arguably the best story out there. It’s full of emotion, political intrigue, fantastic characters and it’s very deep. If this is your first trump through Final Fantasy Tactics, prepare to be dazzled. It’s still one of the most absorbing in the series. To the point where you’ll be sad to leave when the whole thing is over. It’s the gameplay that makes Final Fantasy Tactics a treat, though. Thanks to the job system, customization is nearly endless. Before each battle you can assign jobs to your characters. Each job has specific traits about them and can greatly affect how you perform in battle. Mages have devastating magic abilities while Knights are strong physical attackers. They also bring their own unique abilities to the table. Because there are so many job classes to choose from, there’s a lot of experimentation you can do. As you master abilities you’ll also be able to mix and match. You could have a Squire casting white magic, for example provided you’ve learned some of the white magic abilities. As battles progress you gain experience. You pretty much gain experience after each and every turn, which is nice. Not only do you gain experience but you also gain job points to help you master the abilities in your job class. It’s pretty simple stuff and you’ll be surprised at just how fast you can learn abilities here. Final Fantasy Tactics provides its own challenges, though. Not all your enemies are taken down easily, and if you don’t take advantage of the opportunities to improve your characters abilities you’ll be overwhelmed before you know it. When they say Final Fantasy Tactics, they’re not kidding. Sometimes little simple mishaps in your strategy can cost you a battle. Not only that, but even doing things such as casting spells you must be careful with because if any of your characters are in range, they’ll be struck by that spell. You also have to be quick about reviving characters otherwise you lose them forever. If your first plunge into Final Fantasy Tactics was with the GBA version released in 2003 you’ll be in for a rude awakening. There is also a multiplayer thrown in there. You can work with a friend or battle friends. You can also go online and battle people. It’s great to have multiplayer, especially in a tactical RPG. Online play isn’t as fantastic as it sounds. It’s great but matchmaking just isn’t all that good. You’ll hardly ever find yourself in a battle with someone on the same level as you. Instead you’ll be faced with either people who are way too strong or people who are way too weak. While Final Fantasy Tactics is a great game, it certainly doesn’t do as much in the technical department as it does in the gameplay. The game itself doesn’t really look any different from the game released ten years ago. There’s little, if any, enhancement to the graphics at all. For the pleasure of story, however, there are some pretty cool cutscenes thrown in that are incredible looking. These cutscenes are truly artistic and in depth. While those cutscenes are beautiful, it’s a shame Square-Enix did little to update the games other visuals. Despite the cool cutscenes, though, there are some slow down issues in battle. Music wise, though, Final Fantasy Tactics easily has some of the best music in the series. It’s still memorable to hear. While the music is good some of the other parts of the sound aren’t. The sound effects don’t always match up to what’s going on in the battle. It’s kind of a downer. There’s not a whole lot of new stuff in this re-release of Final Fantasy Tactics. The script has been revised and corrected in most spots and there are some extra job classes. There are also those really nifty cutscenes and multiplayer but there’s nothing here that really stands out and screams at you. In other words, if you still have the original, it’ll be hard to convince you to buy this one outright. The extras just aren’t enough. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions is a great re-release of a great classic. While it’s still a good game a bit more could’ve been done to update it. The technical issues will probably annoy some fans, but for the most part you’re getting a good game. If you still have the original, though, there’s not that much new content here. Pros: +A fantastic storyline +Beautiful soundtrack +New job classes +Good cutscenes +Addictive gameplay +Tons of customization Cons: -Will be difficult for newcomers -Some technical issues with the graphics and sound -Not much of a graphical update at all, it looks just like the original Playstation version -There isn’t a whole lot o new content here for those who still have the original Playstation version

Game Boy Advance SP Flame Red

Customer Review: Oh boy I wish I still had mine!
I sold my GBA SP Classic NES edition to help pay for my Nintendo DS. I really like the DS but oh boy do I miss this beauty of a machine. Let’s get the moans out of the way, yes the GBA SP only had a front light and not a proper back light so the screen isn’t as colourful as the DS. And yes, you had to pay extra for an adapter if you wanted to use headphones. But stuff that, this thing is amazing and I miss my old one! So why was it so good? Well the design was spot one. I get finger burn and cramps from my DS light and my PSP when I try to play racing games, never got any pain from the GBA SP. Also this was the last portabl console to have the traditional Gameboy style layout of control buttons under the screen (instead of either side like the Lynx, GG, GBA, Neo Geo, DS & PSP). For some reason I find this layout better, don’t ask me why it just is. Some truths are as unedinable as they are unquontifiable! Next up: the NES design is a winner, easily the best looking console I’ve owned. The DS lite is sleek but this baby had charm. The light weight clam shell design is very small indeed and easily fits into any pocket I ever had. Also the battery life took a mighty wacking on many occassions. But the main reason I loved this console was the games. The great titles just kept coming and coming. I was getting a soar neck from trying to angle my old GBA under a lamp to see them. The GBA SP meant I could actually enjoy my games without hurting myself, which I think you will agree makes a nice bonus! Advance Wars, Mario Golf Advance, Sonic Advance, FIre Emblem, Metroid Fusion, Wario Ware Twisted, Aria of Sorrow, Golden Sun and Astro Boy are as good as the best any system has to offer. In fact I argue that the GBA has a lot more AAA titles then the N64, the Cube, the Xbox or any of the current gen consoles. I still play many of the GBA RPGs and SRPGs on my DS as they are yet to be bettered. But some how they doesn’t quite feel the same as they did on the GBA SP NES edition. If you’ve got one KEEP IT!
Customer Review: one of the best!
I bought one of these the day it was released and I had so much fun with it and had some cracking games for it, notably Zelda! The handheld looks gorgeous, even today, its light and can easily store it in your pocket when not using it! I sadly no longer had it as I got a psp and a DS Lite, and I got to say, for a upgrade from the GBA SP, you got to get the DS Lite, as that can play the GBA games too as well as the many great DS titles that are available to own, but the GBA is still a greta buy today if you just want a handheld with no special features like touch screen. The GBA has a lot of games from all different types to offer and so you can’t go wrong with this beauty!

PlayStation2 Secret Codes

BradyGames PlayStation 2 Secret Codes pocket guide is a one-stop reference to all of the hottest titles released for the most modern console to hit the scene. The ultimate guide to the best cheats, tricks and secret codes. DOA 2: Hardcore, Madden NFL 2001, SSX, Summoner and Tekken Tag Tournament are just some of the titles featured in this guide.

Customer Review: Nothing new to learn
When I began to read this book, I hope to find some information about the DVD and some interesting codes. Ther are some fun and fantatics codes, but I found more codes and apecifications in the Internet than in this book. Whatever I think is good by the price.

Tom and Jerry (Nintendo DS)

Customer Review: Just not my cup of tea
Found this very tedious and repetitive. Not something that will be staying in my collection for long that’s for sure.
Customer Review: Great Tom and Jerry Fun
It is like the cartoons. You have challenges to complete in different parts of the house. You can create chaos, and collect items and other things without Tom getting you. I have found that being left handed this game is brilliant as you can use either left or right controls for movement - wow what a change! It took a few minutes to get used to the game, but it is worth it.

Stranglehold (Xbox 360)
Companies are always going on about the synergy between movies and video games, but all this really ever seems to mean is lots of dreadful movie tie-ins where all the money has been spent on celebrity voiceovers. Stranglehold is different though, in that it’s essentially a sequel to 1992’s classic movie Hard Boiled, made purely for video games. This time Inspector “Tequila” Yuen is unleashing his unorthodox policing methods on Russian crime bosses in both Hong Kong and Chicago. It stars the likeness of original lead Chow Yun Fat and has been developed with hands-on help from director John Woo - who it turns out does seem to know a thing or two about video games.

Of course video games have been ripping off John Woo for years, particularly his trademark slow motion shots of two-handed pistol action. As a result this initially seems dangerously similar to Max Payne et al., but the graphical power of the next generation consoles and PC ensures that this is a far more dynamic and interactive affair. Not only can you make use of a bullet time effect (call “Tequila time” here) to slow down time around you but almost all of the scenery can be used too, from sliding down banisters guns firing to scooting across the room on top of a waiter’s trolley. The damage done as you go is truly impressive, with tiles shattering off the walls, chandeliers impaling bad guys as they fall and electric wires and water mains unhinging themselves everywhere. Making a mess has never been so much fun.

Customer Review: Great game, poisoned by the storyline.
This Game is fantastic for first time players. Great visuals, a Max Payne like presence all around when you utilize some of the fantastic mouth watering special attacks. You play as well renowned actor Chow Yun Fat, and the game is intended to be a sequel to the hit movie: “Hard Boiled”. The game achieves this to some extent, as i can see the definate similarities from film to game, however the joy ends when one focuses on the storyline. The storyline suffers with its lack of depth, and its somewhat incoherent and frustrating jumps between places. The game on a whole is a joy to play, but the average gamer may feel asif the fun has ended a little too early. Another thing which brings the game off its pedestal is the Frustrating difficulty level, you could find yourself dead within seconds in some areas, or you might not die at all, it all depends on how you play the game, i decided to use the special attacks less throughout the game. The “barrage” attack can dispense bosses on even the hardest difficulty level which can be frustrating for the die hard shoot-em-up fan, because in my opinion the bosses fall short of the challenge intended. One of the special attacks i enjoyed to utilize frequently was the “Precision Aim”, where the character fires a bullet with pinpoint accuracy from a helpful zoom screen, the enemy which is struck with the bullet then reacts accordingly with where they were struck. Overall i would recommend this game to people who are looking for action over depth, Stranglehold in its entirety is a diamond in the rough, which has been let down by badly structured storylines and a disappointing ending.
Customer Review: True Woo Style gameplay - challenging but not too difficult - shame about multiplayer though
For those of you who love John Woo films and his artistic style, this game is for you. The game character Tequila is the character from the movie Hard Boiled (played by Chow Yun Fat) - a badass cop who doesn’t mind bending the rules to put bad guys away. As in the movie Hard Boiled, the action scenes are wonderfully played out with a mix of slow motion and manic gun fights or exposions. In this game Stranglehold, this is no exception. The feature of the game is that you can slow time down for a limited period of time allowing you to aim more precisely and kill more bad guys. You’ll find that you want to dive often where time is automatically slowed down (just like in Hard Boiled!!). You can also run along banisers, chairs, walls etc which is great fun and I really like being able to jump off a wall, kick it and fire my guns falling backwards and also jumping onto a trolley and killing peole as your coast along (also in Hard Boiled in the Hospital). John Woo’s trademark is the used throughout the game like the use of two pistols, Woo time (slow motion) and close encouter gunfights, and sliding across tables etc. In the extra’s, you can go to a shop with John Woo as the salesman and buy extras after earning them during gameplay. Similar to Devil May Cry for the PS2, you have Style points and combo points, so the more you kill people with style (e.g. sliding down a banister and killing guys) the more points you gain. Your points are contributed to ‘Tequila Bomb gauge’ that fills up. As you progress along the game you unlock 4 specials. When the first quarter fills, you have the option of a health boost; the second precision aim (allows a zoom in to bad guys for distance shots); the third quarter allows Tequila to fill up with bullets on whatever weapon he is holding and then blast away very, very quickly without diminishing your ammo count; the final quarter filled up allows Tequila to do a special move, spinning on the spot to kill bad guys (which is really cool to watch). As in Hard Boiled paper cranes make an appearance. You can collect these throughout the game to increase the ‘Tequila Bomb gauge’ immediately to help you get to those special moves quickly. There is a multiplayer option but so far I don’t think I’ve come across anyone on it yet. Maybe I’ll take a look on the XBOX forums to see who’s interested in some gaming. All in all a very enjoyable game. The movement for gameplay is easy to get used to and intuitive. The game is not too difficult to play but in places, hard enough to be a challenge. In addition, at any checkpoint, you can play on easy, casual and hard, so if you get stuck, just start the game again and continue the gameplay on an easier level. If you always wanted to play Tequila and kick some butt, then get this game as you’ll have a blast doing the slow motion, jumping over chairs, kicking tables etc. in true Woo style.

Sony PS3 (Playstation 3) Controller USB Twin Charge Docking Station

6 Pieces Soft Rubber Replacement Analog Stick for Sony Playstation PSP
JAVOedge’s Sony PSP Soft Replacement Joystick comes in a set of 6 (black). The top surface is made out of the same materials as our renowned JAVOSkin which provides better support and comfort for your fingers. The specially designed patterns on the surface gives you ultimate grip for fast action gaming. With a better tactile feel, movement accuracy is at a maximum. Easy to replace and install, the soft replacement joystick is the perfect PSP gaming solution.
Customer Review: False Advertisement
I didn’t receive “Soft Rubber Replacement Analog Sticks” as promised. I received small hard plastic analog sticks similar to the original ones. Luckily, the “Sony PSP Deluxe Starter Kit” came with 2 rubber replacement sticks, so I didn’t pursue a refund/replacement…not an easy task being deployed to Afghanistan. Stay away from this item…it’s not worth the trouble and your lucky if you get what you paid for.
Customer Review: PSP Analog Stick Review
My opinion of this product will be short and simple. The JAVOedge types work just fine as replacement analog pads (I call them pads because thats really what the PsP has- a pad, not a stick). They are about the same size and shape as the PsP’s original analog pad. All the pads are the same size. Installation is literally a snap- just pop off the old pad and plug on the new one. The only gripe I have is that the surface coating on the replacement pad is somewhat slippery in feel, not “catchy” like the original. Otherwise this is an excellent choice for replacing the old one. I prefer these to the other types being sold: the larger “sport” replacements, which promote better control when gaming, are not only bulkier but also have a tendency to break at the thumb rest area (the last one I used actually almost stripped the analog control mechanism on the PsP itself!). I’ve never had a problem when using the original size pad so since these are the same type I’d highly recommend them.

Customer Review: EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This game is brilliant, you get to choose your horse, go on a stroll, change your clothes, go in a chat room to talk to other school students, jumping, cross country and dressage. dressage is hard but once you know what your doing it really quite easy! in caring for your horse you can brush it, clean it’s hooves, wash it, pet it and clean out the stable.i think the game is worth the money! WATCH OUT FOR PIPPA FUNNELL 2 (FARM ADVENTURES) AND LOOK UP HAMSTERZ, THATS REALLY GOOD TO!
Customer Review: Okay.
This is my person view but… I think the game is superb. The graphics are okay, and the overall excitment is overwhelming, although I must say after a couple of days and nights of playing, Yes, it does become rather repetitive and, sadly boring. ALthough, I do tend to go back to it after breaks. Then play it again. It’s a ‘cool’ little game, with a nice story and graphics. It’s realistic and you always try to do your up most best to get the top points in the game. Sometimes if you get stuck, you do get very frustrated, and annoyed, but come back to it after about ten minutes and use some simple common sense, and then you will get it. Always read what the narraters say, otherwise you’ll probably go wrong. Just buy it, give it a chance, I’m sure you’ll like it. I would recommend the game for a younger audience, up to 13 year olds. The game is sutible for all though.

Customer Review: This game rocks!
Have to agree with everyone here. This is EASILY the best skateboarding game out bar none. The controls do take a bit of getting used to if you’re used to button bashing on the Tony Hawks series, but within an hour i was used to it and popping kickflip to 50-50 grinds down stair rails. It feels SO natural. It does, however, have a few minor flaws. The camera angle. Sometimes you cannot see where you’re going because the camera is so low, and so close to your skater. Theres no way to change this. Lag/Gameplay slow down. Every now and again the game will get a little slow. No idea why but it usually sorts it’s self out after a few seconds. Career mode. Career mode is a little difficult due to the flickit system, some tricks are hard to pull off, meaning you have to try the same challenge over and over and over. Feels good when you finally do nail it though. Other then that, this is THE best skating game i’ve ever played. 5 out of 5 from me. Buy it!
Customer Review: The best skateboarding game ever !
Button mashing is over. Skate has completely reinvented skateboarding games by the use of the flickit control system. On tony hawks you would think nothing of trying to leap a gap or grind a rail, but on skate you have to line yourself perfectly then flick the right analogue stick quickly to gain height to ollie and turn your body in the direction to grind down it. This makes the game feel more realistic and add new ways of doing tricks. Instead of going from place to place you have the whole huge city of san vanelona to explore with plenty of areas to skate on which adds to more freedom. You have to start off by doing skateboarding films to get coverage in the local skate mag to get coverage. You then get asked to skate 4 thrasher which gives you money and sponsership to getting better skateboards, wheels and clothing and eventually leads you to face the pros in the x-games. There are a variety of objectives such as photo coverage, filming, skateboarding races and playing a game of skate which gets u to take it in turns against a pro to beat the at tricks. This game is so much better than Tony hawks.

Customer Review: Miike Fires A Dart and It Hits The Target
Since being off on sick leave and discovering Amazon, I have also had the time to discover Takashi Miike. A Japanese director who was a bit of a thug in his youth, he fell into directing just because, well, it was there. Films which I have seen of his and reviewed include Audition (Hitchcock on steroids) and Bird People In China (a remarkable character study). The only film of Miike’s I have not liked to date is ‘Visitor Q’, which just plain pushed my buttons–and the wrong ones. However, lately I have been feeling bad about that. I posted a positive review of Ichi The Killer, but it disappeared into cyberspace–but plenty of people have already reviewed that remarkable film.

Miike is a provocateur. For the most part, he makes direct to video films. The budget is low, the money is made back by DVD sales, and he can cut loose. Often cutting loose for Miike involves chopping off feet, but can include people being cut in half. Miike likes to be outrageous. I first came across him when, cruising Future Shop, I came across “Imprint.” This was a one hour film commissioned by Showtime for its “Masters of Horror” cable tv series. However, it was too much even for that series, and was released independetly on DVD after Showtime refused to air it.

Fudoh is something else again, even for Miike’s work. It is a revenge story, with some real similarities to Clint Eastwood’s “Unforgiven”–one act of violence leads to an endless cycle of more violence. The violence gets worse and worse.

Although I will be judicious in this review about plot points, and not give away too much, you should still beware:

SPOILERS AHEAD. IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS, STOP!!

The film begins with Fudoh as a child. His father and older brother are both gangsters. After what can only be described as a toilet massacre that makes Sam Peckinpah’s films look like The Sound Of Music, Fudoh’s father kills Fudoh’s older brother to placate other gangsters upset by the massacre. To say Fudoh’s dad gives the other gangsters a head’s up on Fudoh’s brother, or that he heads off their concerns…well, you can guess, eh?

Cut to Fudoh as a high school student. This is one rock and roll high school. Fudoh is running his own gang. Helping him are two young boys, perhaps eleven or so years old, who look like they can barely carry their machine guns. These boys don’t, uh, kid around. They help Fudoh with his gang, and that includes assassinating the gangsters connected with Fudoh’s brother’s death.

My favourite Fudoh aide is a cheerleader type, a girl who shows a remarkable ability with darts. She does not use her hand to throw darts, nor does she use her mouth. But she does blow the darts out. Do I have to be explicit? Let’s say her aim is remarkable, given she shots the darts while on her back.

The film is beautifully shot and paced, and contains, as one should expect from the above descriptions, a whole truckload of dark humour. I’ve seen Peckinpah, I’ve seen Scorsese’s gangster movies, heck I’ve seen Friday the 13th. But I ain’t never seen nothing quite like this!!

The film, while hilarious in parts, is equally dramatic. Miike makes it serious when he has to, yet there is no vibe clash when he switches tones. I’m not sure yet how he pulled it off, but he did.

As the revenge cycle gets worse, the violence increases and things get nastier and nastier. Unlike with Visitor Q, though, this is an entertainment that does not rub your nose in it (in fact, unlike Dead or Alive, which tended to also rub your nose in it). Also, unlike some Miike films, it does not feel rushed, with things thrown in for the heck of it. Everything works, right to the end. No scenes stick out like a sore thumb. Or, for that matter, like a dismembered thumb.

Stylish, clever, violent, sexy–did I mention the scene involving two women making out, only one of them is also a man?–this is a unique film that is well worth checking out. Except you’ll never check it out of any video store except a speciality store, you’ll have to buy this sucker. It ain’t coming on cable any time soon!!

Customer Review: PS3 Metalcase
First of all please do not buy 1 !!! Quality of the product is rubbish in my view. Not worth the money. Not fit for purpose as the maker states room for ALL accessories !! Totally False Claim. The Controllers DO NOT FIT IN
Customer Review: PRO METAL CARRY CASE
Firstly, case is sturdy - which is what you need to house the rather heavy, and cumbersome PS3 console. Yes, it stores 10 discs. But, as for the product description:- “Ever wanted to look cool and keep your console protected while travelling? Now you can with the Pro metal carry case. The Pro metal case offers protection from scratches and bumps with it’s strong exterior. The extra roomy padded interior houses the PS3 console and accessories to keep them safe during transport.” Firstly, it does not make you look cool, it shows that your carrying something heavy, that is perhaps expensive - making you prone to looks, and who knows what else. Secondly, it mentions it has a roomy padded interior, this is false - the PS3 fits snugly yes, but the power cable is very hard to get in next to it. Thirdly, it mentions it will hold all accessories, the wireless controllers are accessories, and these in NO WAY fit into the case, there is no room for them at all - which is a major misgiving on the manufacturers part, as what good is a carry case that means you have to house the controllers in something else for your journey? The overall case in my opinion is good, but the major omission of room for controllers lets this product down immensely. So, buy it if you want to house your PS3 safely for travel, but if you want to play the PS3 at your destination, be prepared to carry your pad(s) in hand.

This film glamorizes everything that is wrong with our society. Just take one look at the cover. Is that the type of public behavior that you want to teach your children? Skip this for your own sake. Besides, it’s not funny even when it tries to be.

Playstation2 Action Value Pack
Looking for some hot gaming action? Check out our PlayStation2 Action Gamer Pack. This special bundle includes the new PlayStation2 console (with controller), a bonus Dual Shock 2 controller, a vertical stand, and three games (Madden NFL 2001, Tekken Tag Tournament, and Ridge Racer V). At the heart of the PlayStation2 is the 128-bit Emotion Engine processor, which promises to bring lightning-fast gameplay and unprecedented graphics power to your TV screen. We’ve packed in three AAA action titles to get things started.

EA Sports’ Madden NFL 2001 fully utilizes the PlayStation2’s advanced hardware with ultrarealistic rushing, passing, blocking, and tackling. You can play the built-in AFC and NFC lineups, or even create your own players. The graphics power of the PlayStation2 brings a new level of detail to the game. As play progresses, you’ll see the field collecting scars from some of the rougher tackles, and the players will show some wear of their own, too.

If you’re willing to break away from the football game, there’s also Tekken Tag Tournament. With more than 30 characters to fight against or beside, this game allows you to pull off the ultimate human combo: tag-team fighting. By choosing two fighters with broadly divergent skills, you can greatly increase your threat to other fighters.

The Action Gamer Pack also includes Ridge Racer V, the latest title in Namco’s popular racing series. This graphically stunning racer truly showcases the horsepower of the PlayStation2. The vehicles have more polygons than we can imagine, and their reflective surfaces are just dazzling.

To help you go head-to-head with your opponents, this bundle also includes a bonus Dual Shock 2 controller. Also, we’ve included the official PS2 vertical stand, which turns your machine into a tower of sleek gaming power.

About These Bundles:

Amazon.com and Toysrus.com are pleased to offer these special PlayStation2 bundles. When you select a bundle for purchase, Amazon.com will ship your selection in a single box. Of course, you’re free to add additional PlayStation2 games or accessories to your order. Depending on item availability, these additional items might ship separately.

Customer Review: Just A Bunch Of Cry Babies
ill tell you right now Ps2 is better than the DC. How do you know? you ask. well i own both sytems and i own Dead Or Alive 2 for both sytems and Ps2 has a special shading technic that makes it look like it has about 25 more bits note: the bits for dc and ps2 are the same. so ps2 is way better than the dreacast. and i see a lot of people ripen of the DVD player. What the heck…? a dvd player is a dvd player!! i dont ask for much. just a smooth picture. in which the ps2 has. so the dvd player is good. unless you think you got to have the best in the world. …. and also the x-box is not going to be better than the ps2 its going to be pretty much the same. but the xbox you gotta buy a dvd player seprate with it.and they arent gona have any good games for it eiter. so i wuld forget about it. the ps2 is goin to be at top for a while.

Customer Review: Females and Comuters
Nintendo are really trying to sell their DS to females and comuters (I’m female and a comuter). Having seen the DS advertised on the tube, I was keen on researching them to see if I would like it. I haven’t really played computer games since I was about 13 and I must say, its really come along way since then (I’m now 28). Firstly, the DS lite is a lovely small size and fits nicely into your handband. In fact, its much smaller than a book. I love playing my DS on the tube it really makes the time fly by. Normally, on the tube, I read a book or listen to my ipod, so its a nice change to be able to do something different. The games for the DS are great. My initial concern about getting a DS would be that the games were for males children. I’m not really into sports and fighting games but there are loads of games out and I’m sure you will find something you like. YOu can do puzzle games or even manage your own town, so games have come along way since the traditional view of games. This review is written from the view of a female so it might not be helpful for everyone, but if you are thinking if getting a DS - I recommend it.

Customer Review: Interaction
I have a 5year old who loves scooby doo and got this game for xmas, he loves it. If you want a game that is easy enough for your kids to do most of it themselves but which needs a bit of adult interaction to help them through so that they don’t end up being a total recluse then it’s worth the money. Platform format with good use of the touch screen for catching the ghosts and driving the mystery machine.

Customer Review: It’s a blast
I just saw the basic version that comes from Netflix, but I understand the versions are basically the same except for some added material on the 2-disk. This is where the review action seems to be, anyway.

It’s a blast! Great effects - well, I know that’s expected nowadays, but even so - and I like that del Toro keeps CGI in its place, preferring “live” action when it’s possible. (That was a strength of his “Pan’s Labyrinth”, too).

I’m not much of a comic book guy, but I recognise the sharp and sassy tone of the dialog. You have to chuckle when some absolutely appalling thing happens, Hellboy’s plans going horribly awry, perhaps the end of him or indeed the world, and his comment is “Oh, crap.” In fact, as the monster with so many human failings and feelings, he reminds me of Grendel as interpreted by John Gardner in his marvellous book. The difference is that Grendel can’t help attacking/eating humans, while Hellboy wants to save them.

So overall, just enjoy for an undemanding and never-boring exp
