My example of this controller broke after 13 months because the headset connection appears to very flimsy and the central pin in the controller broke. This breakage rendered both the controller and the headset useless. I had to buy another controller (wired this time) and a new headset. I beleive that Microsoft should carry put a design review.

Customer Review: Handy and gives good protection
The most value for money items in this pack are definetly the carry case and the clip case. The carry case is very good. Although it’s a bit chunky and not very stylish, it does the job very well. There are straps inside to secure the DS plus some netting which can hold the clip case which comes with the pack, the earphones and with a bit of a squeeze a GBA cartridge as well, thus it being kind of chuncky is well made up for by the fact that you won’t have to have these items lying around or getting lost in your bag somewhere. The strap that comes with the carry case can turn it into a not so stylish shoulder handbag, but they are prone to come lose. However the case is definetly sturdy enough to be squeezed in your overstuffed backpack. The clip is also incredibly handy, most packs I’ve seen only seem to have some lose game cases, which still means they’ll be lying around somewhere lose, which in my case would mean I would lose them. This one can hold 3 DS cartridges plus an extra stylus, all of which are protected by some kind of hard close fitting foam. Why they put in a very low quality mirror beats me, but it’s not a disadvantage. The earphones are good, they have an adjustable volume control in the lead, which really is a plus, they give a good quality sound and they look nice. Mine have lasted for a year now and are only broken because I have frequently accidentally let them fall on or swing against metal desk and chair legs, since I use them at work almost every day. The only part of this pack I can’t comment on is the car charger as I have never actually used it or had to use it, but I guess it is handy for long journeys abroad by car. Overall I think this pack is good value for money, especially for people who think being able to take 3 DS games with them and keeping the 3 games, the earphones and the DS all in the same carrier case is really handy.

I used to not like PS2, I admit it. However, after going through some duds, and some overrated average games, I came upon a collection of games that are not just classic for PS2, but will remains classics throughout gaming history. I’m talking about master peices like Kingdom Hearts, Ratchet and Clank, and Virtua Fighter 4 evolution.

Now, on to the review. Well, what can you say, it PS2. It has a 3rd rate DVD player, and its hardware isn’t much more above the Dreamcast (not that thats entirely a bad thing). But, game console are about games right? Well, thats what PS2 has in spades. What it lacks in technology, it gains in the amount of games on the console. While admitably a good quantity of the games are either average, or absolute crap, PS2 still has more masterpeices than any other system on the market. PS2’s main strengths are RPGs, fighters, racers, and platformers (like Ratchet and Clank, Sonic, etc). First Person shooters, online games, are also on PS2, but they make very few of PS2’s good games compared to the RPGs, racers, etc. If your not interested in RPGs, fighters, racers, or platformers, you might consider looking elsewhere. However, even then, there are some other good games on PS2, but most of them are not exclusive anymore, and tend to be inferior to versions on the other consoles(however, they do tend to be cheaper).

The following is a list of PS2 games I personally enjoy or I am anticipating. But parents, please look at the rating of the games I list. We don’t need you buying Metal Gear Solid 2 for lil Billy now do we .

This is by far one of the best steering wheels I have ever used. Better than anything in an Arcade in my opinion.

The Shifter is great, the 6-speed works very well with Live For Speed, and the sequential/paddle shifters work great for Gran Turismo 4.

The Forcefeedback is very strong in this wheel and allows you to feel which wheel is beginning to lose traction. This allows for precise control over the car which is important if you are trying to get that record lap time.

The Pedal base is sturdy, and sticks to the ground like glue! And the Wheel itself feels great in your hands, like a real wheel.

I’ve got to agree with the other positive reviews. Although I’m sure you can buy much more expensive versions of this cable, for ?10 the benefits are incredible. I’m one of those people who’s not in a position to be able to afford a HDTV, and was disappointed with the performance of the lead that came in the box with my 360 console, wondering where my next-gen graphics were! However, after getting this cable, Gears of War looked not just good, but incredible, Pro Evo 6 was brighter and clearer, Crackdown looked even more shiny, and DVD playback looked more crisp. Plus the fact you get handy audio connections, which means you can hook it up to your hi-fi or Dolby Surround to get huge sound. For those with a standard TV who are holding off buying a HDTV, this is an essential purchase which I can’t recommend enough. In fact, when you get a 360, get this at the same time because the cable provided with the console just doesn’t cut it. Buy this product now.

I suppose your looking at this item due to the fact that your main aim is to get the best visuals out of the 360 without having a fancy HDTV. Well so was I and this lead has made so much difference. Compared to the standard and downright horrific composite lead microsoft supply people with for standard definition tv’s, this is nothing short of amazing. Im using it on a quite decent panasonic 28” CRT and after comparing the picture with a 32” panasonic HDTV, I have to say there’s not a lot of difference. Certainly not enough to make me worry about not being in ‘HD’ PGR3 looks unbelievable, the colours are vibrant, the lines so crisp, and gears of wars is equally impressive. So what are you waiting for, buy this lead now and enjoy the 360 how it’s supposed to look without having to spend ?600+ for a HDTV.

I was a bit shocked at the violence at the start – first time I played it I beat someone to death during the tutorial. I suppose the Mafia aren’t known for the gentle approach though. Just started playing it a few hours ago and completed a few missions. Think it will be excellent fun for a long time – until GTA V comes out that is, then I’m switching my free time over to that. Very reminicent of GTA3 – car theft isn’t as ’smooth’ a transaction as it was on GTA 2 3 or 4 but a different experience. I am going home to do dish out some more beatings to some punks. The sound fx are superb on this. I am marking the game down to 4 start, since I was playing Assassins Creed for a while before I bought Godfather – the graphics are no contest to Assassins Creed, but Dons Edition is still a cracking game. Show it some respect or I’ll send Paulie round to dust you!

This game is great but definately has a few flaws. One being the songs you can buy. I wouldn’t waste my money on any of those. But lets get off the flaws and get onto the pros. One pro is the new controller, which might I say is freakin awesome. When I saw that it was wireless I screamed for joy. I have been meaning to buy one but just never got around to it. I definately like the layout and feel of the guitar too. There are many new things in this game. One being the matches against tom Morello, Slash and Lou (the devil). Also the battle mode. My friends and I absolutely love versing each other. it is somewhat difficult because you never know what will be thrown at you. All in all, this game is definately great. I have been recommending it to everyone I know since I fisrt got it. So now I’m recommending you to get it or atleast try it out. I’m sure you’ll have a blast.

This was the first game I bought with my GBA. It is the most repetitive game I have ever played. You’d probably never finish it because you’d have died of boredom before you got half way through. The graphics are reasonable for an early GBA game but that doesn’t make up for the game itself. On each level you do exactly the same thing you did on the last level, mainly walking around looking for map pieces and avoiding the yellow-suited guys who knock your health down slightly if you bump into them. Not hard to complete the levels considering you can see where you’re supposed to be going on the map. Overall, too repitive but has bright graphics.
Customer Review: A challenging game, but too repetitive
This game is great for kids, but not so for adults. The graphics were amazing and the sound was good (it isn’t like those annoying repetitive tunes). You go around looking for bits to Boo’s door and then putting them together like a jigsaw puzzle at the end. Adults and older kids might find this too repetitive but is fun and challenging. Your enemies are the anti-kid monsters in these yellow suits with a suction tubes. You can knock them out is by roaring at them (how cool is that!) Overall a fun and intermediate game!

In a nutshell:
Few kids films can be as well suited to video game immortalisation as Cars and just for once a movie license-in hasn’t just been used for a cheap cash-in. Think Ridge Racer, Jr. and there’s plenty to enjoy here for both adults and children.

The lowdown:
When you’ve got a movie populated solely by talking cars it at least means there’s no need to turn the game into yet another third person platformer. Instead you take the role of stock car Lightning McQueen in what is actually a sequel to the movie’s plot, as he works his way up the racing leagues. Whether there’s someone driving Lightning or not he still handles like any other arcade racer, complete with a handy powerslide. The artificial intelligence of the other cars can seem a bit too willing to let you win in the early stages but there are separate kids and adults modes to ensure all ages get a decent challenge.

Most exciting moment:
Although it’s not quite Grand Theft Auto the game features a surprisingly large game world for you to explore, with wide open canyons and towns filled with tons of side quests and mini-games to ignore or enjoy as you please.

Since you ask:
Almost the entire voicecast of the movie reprise their roles, recording original dialogue just for the game. This includes Owen Wilson and, in his first ever role in a video game, the legendary Paul Newman.

The bottom line:
One of the best movie tie-ins for a while and a decent little racer.

My friend brought this game when we went to get our DS’s together. the game looked good and we were both excited to play it. a few weeks ago we swapped games for a while, and i have to say this game is rubbish! 1)its a load of mini games which are very repetative as you have to complete a number of levels to open another game. 2)there is very little racing cars, which is what i wanted to play. 3)for a game for youngens most of the games were quite tricky and i have to have my friend complete them for me. in all a very, repetative, boring, frustrating game!

Customer Review: OMFG!! This Game Rocks!!
This game is great but definately has a few flaws. One being the songs you can buy. I wouldn’t waste my money on any of those. But lets get off the flaws and get onto the pros. One pro is the new controller, which might I say is freakin awesome. When I saw that it was wireless I screamed for joy. I have been meaning to buy one but just never got around to it. I definately like the layout and feel of the guitar too. There are many new things in this game. One being the matches against tom Morello, Slash and Lou (the devil). Also the battle mode. My friends and I absolutely love versing each other. it is somewhat difficult because you never know what will be thrown at you. All in all, this game is definately great. I have been recommending it to everyone I know since I fisrt got it. So now I’m recommending you to get it or atleast try it out. I’m sure you’ll have a blast.

Customer Review: Red ring of death
The drive worked briefly, and when it did it was stunning. However, after watching just one movie my xbox tanked and gave me the red ring of death (3 red leds). I unplugged the power to the xbox, and I managed to get it to work again but intermittently before it failed again. If I tried this with the HD drive disconnected, the xbox was fine. I repeated this several time to make sure it really was the HD drive, and looks like it was. So, looks like the HD drive is not compatible with the xbox (nice move MS).

So, I’m sending my drive back and I’m just going to buy the stand alone Toshiba HD-A2 drive, which isn’t that much more expensive.

Super Mario World for the SNES sits at or near the top of most “best videogame” lists for a reason. Customer Review: So good yet so dissappointing.
Fight Night round 3 is a good game but it could have been so much more. I like boxing but was uncertain if this game would actually interest me or just irritate like other fighting games. It certainly did the former. The Total Punch Control is a thing of genius. It allows realistic dynamic fighting once mastered and makes winning fights a skillful process. The gameplay allows for various styles to be developed and made successful which makes this highly addictive and entertaining. There are some great fighters to pick from and you can get your teeth into some of the classic encounters (although not literally as there is no Mike Tyson). Whats wrong then? Well firstly the career mode. This is initially really exciting and addictive but very quickly becomes boring and unrealistic. There is no control over your own destiny (apart from whether you win or lose) as the manufacturers claim because the fights are more or less selected for you and if you get beaten by an opponent you cannot have a rematch, and that boxer just doesn’t exist anymore. The only sense you get of actually competing in a realistic boxing world comes from the opponents the system selects as your rivals, and I had to fight the same guy 8 times over my career, despite knocking him out in the first and second rounds each time. Then there is the fact that you have to move up weight divisions meaning that, say you were a welterweight, you will eventually be fighting at light heavyweight! Even more unbelievable is the fictional opponent Rey Mo who appears to be some sort of super fighter fueled by Burger King. Once unlocked you find that he is a light heavyweight, even though you may have had to defeat him as a featherweight yourself. The computer opponents are also very easily beaten once you’ve played for a little bit. They do not vary their styles all that much and you quickly discover that you can stand back a little bit and deliver your signature punch by simply pressing X, thus finding that all that time spent learning to master the Total Punch Control was barely necessarily. That said the game really comes alive when you play human opponents, who read this stupid tactic quickly and take you apart. My more minor criticisms involve the obscene level of product placement, whereby you can actually unlock the Burger King ‘King’ as a trainer. The choice of real life fighters is OK, but very American-centric and there are some legends you would probably want to use just for a laugh who are not present (as mentioned earlier with Tyson). Admittedly these last are pretty minor and I do forgive the makers. My conclusion then is that I am utterly addicted to Fight Night Round 3, despite its flaws. I still play the career mode despite hating it at times. 2 player fights are outstanding and you really need to learn the controls and use your head to out think an opponent. If only they could work on the stupid computer opponents and the infuriating career mode!
Customer Review: I so wanted to like this game
I’ll be honest I really really wanted to like this game as I’m currently fed up with button bashing fight games. Soulcailber/Tekken etc etc. Having selected this instead the Rocky game I was sadly disappointed in my choice. EA has put a lot thought behind the gameplay, that isnt the issue, Nor is the graphics which are brilliantly realistic to each fighter.Sweat dripping off when rushed and variating brathing when damaged, up close FMV of the haymaker punch connecting is very very good as is the actually fighting. There is also a good choice of boxers from each different class and of course the noted famous bouts .- I.e Ali Vs Frazier etc etc are all there. Add various scenes to fight in and the option to go toe toe being a welterweight against the monster that is Frazier really makes it interesting to see what would happen and how long you’d last. Ok it a game, but for me seeing them in the ring together makes an interesting idea. So let me explain why for me I didnt like it.. I’m new to the fight night genre and this game does NOTHING to welcome you and make you welcome to the control system. This game I feel is designed to make previous fans happy thats it. There is a training mode but it doesn’t tell you how to swing the punches or really give you a helping start into this game. I was countlessly beaten by what may be a very good control system (using the analogue sticks to swing your fists.. but without any guidance on using it it fails to make it for me, intead I’m constantly battered by the weaker opposition or in my case infuriated by trying to hit the punch bag by randomly guessing and wildly moving the analogue sticks in attempt to swing the correct punch. Yes I looked at the instructions but I’m a player that like to be guided for say 5-10 mins by on screen commands (even the most poverish games company normally has them on most games now, and dont forget this is EA they ain’t a new starting company or have a lack of funds) and then yeah I get the idea on what to do find my own way and improve my own style. I loathe to play games where you constantly have to refer to the manual to read – turn over the page… play game . read more ..play game a interupting stop start. If you a Fan yes I would buy it as I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.. but if your new to this game be slightly cautious and rent first.. Most rental shops if asked will kncok the price of the rental if bought straight after.

Customer Review: Great Idea – Poor Quality
The Karaoke games for the PS2 are incredibly fun. We play them with the kids; we play them with adults. We just love them! We totally crack up when we play.

Unfortunately the microphones short out very quickly (within days) and we are very careful with them.

We are going on our 6th PS2 USB microphone. If the games were not so much fun, I would not keep buying these horrendously made mic’s.

We tried to use the Sing Star mic’s with the Karaoke games but they are not compatible.

Logitech needs to wake up and wire these things properly.

Halo 3 (Xbox 360)
The Halo games were always the best reason to by an Xbox and now the final part in the initial trilogy of ground breaking first person shooters is set to raise the bar for all Xbox 360 games. Well known for their secrecy, Bungie have officially revealed little about Halo 3, but what is known is that the new game features an Earth completely overtaken and controlled by the Covenant, as they seek a secret hidden Forerunner weapon.

Although little is known about the single player mode, more has been seen of the multiplayer, with various beta testing schemes going on in both secret and in public. A number of new weapons and vehicles have already been revealed including a new assault rifle, the new Spartan laser anti-vehicle weapon and a new hand held shield device for Master Chief that can create a far more effective protective shield around you. New vehicles include the ATV-like Mongoose, a new variant of the Warthog and the new, more powerful, Brute Ghost.

Of course the most important new feature that every new fan is interested in is the graphics, and they are looking predictably fantastic. With lots of technobabble, new features like high dynamic range lightning and pre-computed radiance transfer means the game will not only play great but looks amazing too.

Halo 3 is the third game set in the world of Halo, and it was one of if not the most hyped games ever. It was deliberately hyped and Microsoft knew it would be their money maker, and so gave every single Live member, wheteher GOLD or SILVER membership an entire weekend to play Halo and any other game online for free. All I can say is that Halo, wehile being almost thwe same as Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, is amazing and bering the same is brilliant as it is what people fin so enjoyable and fun to play including myself. Multiplayer is the best part as it is so much fun to pllay with friends and finally you can play with friends in ranked matches.

Ive had this game for a while now but have avoided playing it in favour of fifa and fight night. Ive got myself hooked up to xbox live at last and i thought id give the old slayer matches a go online. After getting my ass handed to me on several occasions by all and sundry, i decided to give the campaign mode a whirl to hopefully improve. Ive seen many varied reviews, but ive got to say I really like the game. It looks great, its not massively difficult, there are very regular checkpoints (which i really like) and its ideal for xbox live like most first person shooters. I think this game had great potential but I was so disappointed to finish the game in a few hours. This game is suitable for 5-8 age group but even then I think they may finish it too quickly. I haven’t tried it but Imagine Fashion Designer looks more challenging. I’m thinking of buying that one next!

I bought this as an alternative to my headset, This thing is useless for the following reasons: 1) The speaker constantly buzzes. 2) You have to hold a button whenever you want to talk. 3) you cannot talk/listen at the same time, when you hold the button to talk, it cuts the speaker. 4) other people cannot understand you, all they can hear is buzzing. 5) You can just get a wired/wireless headset. 6) It drains battery very quickly DO NOT BUY!

Customer Review: Flippin’ useless.
Flipper Critters is a novel twist on the pinball theme. Unfortunately it’s a mess when it could have been good. There’s colourful 3D graphics spread over both screens, novel rotating tables with three sets of flippers in the middle, and the ball physics is pretty good. Sadly, the rest of the game is half-baked. The main problem with the game is that most of the time you don’t know what to do. The in-game instructions are vague and you lose most of your balls before you randomly stumble upon the next task. The bright graphics work against the gameplay – it’s difficult to tell the difference between scenery and targets. A lot of time is wasted pointlessly flipping the ball about scoring nothing. Critters doesn’t have any really major faults, but there are so many irritating niggles – far too many to list them all – that playing the game is more of an ordeal than a pleasure. Metroid Prime Pinball is a much better game. Buy that instead.

Customer Review: Nice board game!
This is exactly like playing a board game, only more fun as it is enhanced by nice graphics. I have only had a go at it against the computer, but I imagine it should be much more fun if there are 4 friends with GBA that play against each other. Once you figure it out it certainly becomes adictive. Easy way to pass the time, especially if you are not into the more complicated action/killing games. Of course there is the waiting you have to go through until your turn comes, but that’s how board games are – you have to wait for your turn. However, this game is not boring because it is fun to watch what is happening to the opponents and mini games often occur on somebody else’s turn that involve all the other players as well. So you end up interacting even when it is not your turn. With 3 levels of difficulty. Not such a bad game to own.

Rubbish just about sums up this game. The graphics are terrible the game takes for ever to run through the computers go and the gems always seem to be in the same places. The only saving grace is the mini games which are quite good. Don’t choose this buy something else like Disney’s Donald Duck Advance.
