I didn’t expect too much from this game, as I thought it would be aimed more at the Wii. However, I expected the game play and graphics to be good. The graphics are very good, and at times you actually feel that you are watching the film. However, the game play was fairly disappointing – you can battle a foe far to easily. Once you have hit them twice, they just stand there and allow you to finish them off. However, I will say the when you battle a leader of a group (for instance Davey Jones’ first mate) the finishing moves are very satisfying. I don’t understand how this game can be rated a 16+. There is now blood or swearing, just fighting. Also, this game is not as addictive as I thought it would be. This game is not one that I would buy, but it is not a bad game on the PS3. I imagine that it would be good on the Wii.

31WY7XCVNVL FIFA Football 2005 (GBA)Oh no! It looks like your grandad was right–things really were better in the old days. Well, they were if you liked 2-D platform games, anyway, and Yoshi’s Island is indisputably one of the best ever made.

In a laudable attempt not to rehash its immediate forebear Yoshi’s Island goes back in time to recount the touching story of the various yoshis’ attempts to unite Baby Mario with his parents. For the first time ever in a Mario game you don’t actually control the Italian plumber-to-be but instead his dinosaur pal, who has the curious ability to eat his enemies and then immediately turn them into eggs which he can then fling at more enemies and/or politicians.

Since Yoshi isn’t particularly fast and can float in mid-air for a few seconds after making a jump, the whole dynamics of the normal Mario gameplay have changed, but the same incredible attention to detail and endless imagination that mark all of Nintendo’s best efforts are still here in full effect. In fact they’re joined this time, after the rather plain looking prequel, by some wonderful pastel-shaded graphics that were jaw-dropping when the game was originally released in 1995 and still manage to impress now.

As with the other Super Mario Advance titles this game also contains a four-player version of the original Mario Bros. arcade game, making it even more of a bargain than it already was. –David Jenkins

Customer Review: The Mario-Platforming formula got a whole lot better!
By now the name ‘Mario can only echo to the world mushrooms, evil turtles and ‘flower power’. Oh yeah and of course, the greatest video game character of all time. Yoshi’s Island is an excellent game, and the spirit of challenge and fun runs throughout from the start to the all-mighty finish! Oh, and considering the main character IS NOT MARIO but his trustworthy friend and pseudo-babysitter Yoshi; gamers can expect an experience that’s just a little bit different. The story has been given a little bit more thought than the previous Mario games: that is the ‘rescue the princess/ defeat King Koopa’ template. With Yoshi’s Island we are introduced to a delightful fable – the evil Koopa wizard Kamek kidnaps one of two babies carried by a stork on a long-haul delivery, Luigi is the baby who is kidnapped while baby Mario plummets down to Yoshi’s island. The Yoshis decide to work together and follow baby Mario’s instincts to baby Luigi. In the process Kamek and his minions have to be defeated who are searching the Island for baby Mario. Now, its Yoshi’s turn to dance in the spotlight, the game does take many daring turns away from other Mario games as a result. Yoshi’s Island seems a tongue-in-cheek approach in comparison to other Mario games. The enemies seem so OTT, that craziness can only be pulled off in the always-offbeat Mario universe! The levels are larger and trickier but without being frustratingly difficult. The equally OTT bosses are fun to destroy and the challenge is to work out their ‘Achilles heel’ with out being bumped off yourself. There is a surprising twist when actually come to defeating the final boss… you’ll just have to complete to find out what I’m talking about! As ever, simply completing levels is not enough, the Mario games take you on a journey rather than just through an entertaining game. You have to make use of all that you’ve been given resourcefully and overcome challenges that never always have the same solution. This game is more puzzle- orientated than any Mario game previously (perhaps closer to SMB 3 in approach than SMW) seen. So the adventure begins, and what an adventure this is! The game brings an invigorating change to the previous Super Mario World, where Yoshi was the proverbial ‘workhorse’ for the Mario brothers. Here you have Yoshis of all colours with the green Yoshi being the main dinosaur. These guys have all new moves to use against Kamek’s enemies. The most notable being Yoshi swallowing his enemies and …err… excreting them as eggs. These eggs can be used to hurl at other enemies, unreachable items and to defeat bosses. Other moves include mega-stomping the ground, temporarily flying and morphing into vehicles. Wait second, vehicles? Yes, vehicles… Yoshi can transform into a helicopter, submarine, train or a car at certain sections of levels. The morph only lasts for a shot time within which you have to collect coins, power-ups and avoid baddies. Its diversions such as these that have always added depth to Mario games, which can appear very facile to the spectator, but fun to the player. There are many bonus games to access and a myriad of secrets to find. In fact to get the most out of these you’ll inadvertently end up playing the game more than once. The presentation is also superb as always, with great graphics and plenty of catchy tunes. The style of Yoshi’s Island is fully realised and consistent throughout, more so than any preceding Mario game. With the variety in graphics, amazingly nothing appears out of place. The presentation may seem infantile, but wait a minute the game is centered on lost baby twins (duh!). The graphics did grow on me even more than today’s eye-blistering, 3D affairs. I loved the crayon, chalk and pencil landscapes: fooling you into thinking a child had drawn and coloured all these levels. Its not the fact that the graphics are great but the style of the game really immerses you into the varied environments of Yoshi’s Island. The audio is also clear and functional, while the music lulls you into playing the game as if you were playing with a toy. Maintaining this ‘universality’ of graphics and audio is another successful feature of all Mario games: it truly excels in Yoshi’s Island. This review, in all honesty, does not sum up how great a game Yoshi’s Island really is… there is literally so much to encounter that you’ll not be bored of this game for a considerable length of time. The game is imaginative, colourful and highly entertaining. Another great thing about this game is that it will appeal to young kids, older kids and perhaps even those who wish they were still kids. Certain parts of the game perhaps require a little bit more skill than what children can be capable of and the sexless nature of the game means girls will love it just as much as guys. Yoshi’s Island’s appeal does spread wide, and its a game that once played, goes to show just how masterful Nintendo are when it comes to creating high quality games. Made in 1996, Yoshi’s Island was eagerly awaited and breathed life into the SNES at a time when its appeal was in decline. Don’t just take my word for it, or that of the other brilliant reviews it has received. Now that the SNES no longer lives, at least it can boast to giving us one of the greatest platform games ever made.
Customer Review: A Personal Favourite
This is the game I’ve played most since buying a DS a few months ago. I know it’s a GBA game, but it is better – I suspect – than many games on the DS. It is certainly better than most of the DS games I’ve played so far. Though, in part that may be because I prefer the 2D perspective. I never realised what I was missing when I just had the GBA and somehow missed this game. But as I never got around to buying the SP version with its backlight it is probably a good thing for my eyesight that I have waited until now to discover this gem. Do yourself a favour – buy this game. It’s brilliant!

Customer Review: Miike Fires A Dart and It Hits The Target
Since being off on sick leave and discovering Amazon, I have also had the time to discover Takashi Miike. A Japanese director who was a bit of a thug in his youth, he fell into directing just because, well, it was there. Films which I have seen of his and reviewed include Audition (Hitchcock on steroids) and Bird People In China (a remarkable character study). The only film of Miike’s I have not liked to date is ‘Visitor Q’, which just plain pushed my buttons–and the wrong ones. However, lately I have been feeling bad about that. I posted a positive review of Ichi The Killer, but it disappeared into cyberspace–but plenty of people have already reviewed that remarkable film.

Miike is a provocateur. For the most part, he makes direct to video films. The budget is low, the money is made back by DVD sales, and he can cut loose. Often cutting loose for Miike involves chopping off feet, but can include people being cut in half. Miike likes to be outrageous. I first came across him when, cruising Future Shop, I came across “Imprint.” This was a one hour film commissioned by Showtime for its “Masters of Horror” cable tv series. However, it was too much even for that series, and was released independetly on DVD after Showtime refused to air it.

Fudoh is something else again, even for Miike’s work. It is a revenge story, with some real similarities to Clint Eastwood’s “Unforgiven”–one act of violence leads to an endless cycle of more violence. The violence gets worse and worse.

Although I will be judicious in this review about plot points, and not give away too much, you should still beware:

SPOILERS AHEAD. IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS, STOP!!

The film begins with Fudoh as a child. His father and older brother are both gangsters. After what can only be described as a toilet massacre that makes Sam Peckinpah’s films look like The Sound Of Music, Fudoh’s father kills Fudoh’s older brother to placate other gangsters upset by the massacre. To say Fudoh’s dad gives the other gangsters a head’s up on Fudoh’s brother, or that he heads off their concerns…well, you can guess, eh?

Cut to Fudoh as a high school student. This is one rock and roll high school. Fudoh is running his own gang. Helping him are two young boys, perhaps eleven or so years old, who look like they can barely carry their machine guns. These boys don’t, uh, kid around. They help Fudoh with his gang, and that includes assassinating the gangsters connected with Fudoh’s brother’s death.

My favourite Fudoh aide is a cheerleader type, a girl who shows a remarkable ability with darts. She does not use her hand to throw darts, nor does she use her mouth. But she does blow the darts out. Do I have to be explicit? Let’s say her aim is remarkable, given she shots the darts while on her back.

The film is beautifully shot and paced, and contains, as one should expect from the above descriptions, a whole truckload of dark humour. I’ve seen Peckinpah, I’ve seen Scorsese’s gangster movies, heck I’ve seen Friday the 13th. But I ain’t never seen nothing quite like this!!

The film, while hilarious in parts, is equally dramatic. Miike makes it serious when he has to, yet there is no vibe clash when he switches tones. I’m not sure yet how he pulled it off, but he did.

As the revenge cycle gets worse, the violence increases and things get nastier and nastier. Unlike with Visitor Q, though, this is an entertainment that does not rub your nose in it (in fact, unlike Dead or Alive, which tended to also rub your nose in it). Also, unlike some Miike films, it does not feel rushed, with things thrown in for the heck of it. Everything works, right to the end. No scenes stick out like a sore thumb. Or, for that matter, like a dismembered thumb.

Stylish, clever, violent, sexy–did I mention the scene involving two women making out, only one of them is also a man?–this is a unique film that is well worth checking out. Except you’ll never check it out of any video store except a speciality store, you’ll have to buy this sucker. It ain’t coming on cable any time soon!!

FIFA Football 2005 (GBA)
Customer Review: 8-year old's opinion!
I liked FIFA 05 until my Career Mode broke. Now I'm doing boring challenges and tournament mode – winning the FA cup, resetting accidentally.

Customer Review: Fifa fun
Bought Fifa 2005 on GBA SP a few days ago. And after playing every game mode and enjoying them all, I’d like to say that EA have done well to create a game of this quality for a handheld console. It’s a lot harder to make a good footie sim on GBA than on larger consoles and that is the reason it’s getting four stars rather than one or two, as I’d give it if it was on a PS2.

This isn’t really a football sim, more of an entertaining arcade football game. It is quite easy to score goals and you can bang five or six past a team on professional quite quickly. The throw ins are very inaccurate and you will give it to the other team 7 times out of 10. Free-kicks are also extremely hard to score (I haven’t scored one yet) as when you try to shoot you just loop the ball into the keepers hands. Penalties are also quite hard to score, and I have scored none of the three I’ve taken. The faces aren’t realiseable either.

Those are the bad points. Now here are the points I have to praise EA on. They have made a fairly entertaining and addictive football game. The game modes, tournament, career, friendly and challenge are all entertaining and the challenges are a challenge. Though Rooney plays for Everton and Scholes plays for England, this game is fairly up to date with the teams. Before Pro Evo fans come out and start criticising the gameplay, I have to say that for a GBA game, the gameplay is fairly fluent and the one touch pass and shot is a great addition. A good game!

11KKJYV4FYL NINTENDO GAMEBOY GAME BOY bust a move 3dxCustomer Review: Does what is says on the box…
It appears to work absolutely fine. I can’t really understand why Nintendo don’t include this with the console; it seems such an obvious thing to supply as standard. It’s certainly useful if you have access to a PC & don’t want to cart around the NDSlite psu. The USB cable seems to work OK in conjunction with the 3rd party FPUK NDS Lite Docking Cradle Power Stand, but I tried this only once. Please see my review of the docking cradle before you rush to buy it.
Customer Review: Great but for the delivery
This cable works fine out of the box, making it clear also that Nintendo did not approve. This reduces the dependency on the big chargers for the mains and also could mean you didn’t have to buy a separate car charger if used with a Car socket to USB converter and also with the minty boost (search for it).

Belkin Components F8GBPS003 Nostromo P45 Vibration GamePad for PlayStation2

February 22nd, 2008

31YXsSEq7HL Belkin Components F8GBPS003 Nostromo P45 Vibration GamePad for PlayStation2

In a nutshell:
The world’s most popular football sim returns with numerous tweaks and additions to make it even more realistic in both gameplay and graphics. If England don’t win the World Cup you can always take solace in the latest Pro Evo.

The lowdown:
This latest sequel sees one of the biggest overhauls in the game’s history with the new improvements to the already impressive animation directly affecting the way you play. Dribbling with the ball is now easier but the quality of your passing and shooting now depends on the position of a player’s body in terms of both accuracy and power. Make a shot straight after a sharp turn, for example, and your chances of hitting the target are slim. Opponent and team artificial intelligence has also been greatly increased, to the point where every man on the pitch is thinking independently. Apart from the animation, the graphics in general have also been upgraded with much better player likenesses.

Most exciting moment:
Thanks to the new changes Pro Evo 6 plays a much more attacking game than previously, with counter attacks after a fluffed shot on goal made much easier than previously.

Since you ask:
Although the game doesn’t have the official FIFA World Cup license it does simulate an unofficial international tournament, including both qualifying rounds and the finals.

The bottom line:
The best just keeps getting better with the most beautiful virtual game ever.

Customer Review: Addictive, but bad for you
OK the first thing is, as a lot of people have already pointed out, that there’s is loads missing from other versions of this game, if you’ve got a PS2, buy that version and add another star. Second thing, as each passing year the difference between the outgoing pro and new one becomes more difficult to spot. Pro 6’s graphics are slightly sharper, but the game seems to run at a slower pace. Third thing, the game AI. Pro ecourages you as a player to keep it a short passing game as much as possible, I’m sure this is the reason it is so difficult to make long passes and overhead through balls, so you adjust your tactics accordingly. But occasionally a dog kickingly frustrating bit of rubbish AI pop up out of nowhere. Defenders run away from attackers when you take control of them. The game constantly switches team members when you’re trying to defend. Attackers inexpicaply slow down when trying to get to long balls. These don’t happen too often, but when they do … Finally online, it’s not bad, creating a custom match can take forever when trying to find someone to play, but the patches that have been release over the last year seem to have sorted that one out. Should you buy it ? If you’ve got pro 5 on ps2, no keep your money. If you’ve got a 360, it’s better than FIFA (If I want proper names and kits I’ll buy a sticker album), so I’d say possibly, wait and see what the reviews on pro 2008 are like.
Customer Review: Good but doesn’t live to expectations
pro evo 6 is overall pretty good for the xbox 360 however there are many places in the game where it is basically a stripped down version of the PS2 version just with better graphics. For example the edit mode is taken out nearly all together and some Master League features are taken out. However in the 360 version the physics, player movement, AI and graphics are much better and in HD.

This is absolute essential if you bought a premium pack or a wireless controller. Customer Review: So good yet so dissappointing.
Fight Night round 3 is a good game but it could have been so much more. I like boxing but was uncertain if this game would actually interest me or just irritate like other fighting games. It certainly did the former. The Total Punch Control is a thing of genius. It allows realistic dynamic fighting once mastered and makes winning fights a skillful process. The gameplay allows for various styles to be developed and made successful which makes this highly addictive and entertaining. There are some great fighters to pick from and you can get your teeth into some of the classic encounters (although not literally as there is no Mike Tyson). Whats wrong then? Well firstly the career mode. This is initially really exciting and addictive but very quickly becomes boring and unrealistic. There is no control over your own destiny (apart from whether you win or lose) as the manufacturers claim because the fights are more or less selected for you and if you get beaten by an opponent you cannot have a rematch, and that boxer just doesn’t exist anymore. The only sense you get of actually competing in a realistic boxing world comes from the opponents the system selects as your rivals, and I had to fight the same guy 8 times over my career, despite knocking him out in the first and second rounds each time. Then there is the fact that you have to move up weight divisions meaning that, say you were a welterweight, you will eventually be fighting at light heavyweight! Even more unbelievable is the fictional opponent Rey Mo who appears to be some sort of super fighter fueled by Burger King. Once unlocked you find that he is a light heavyweight, even though you may have had to defeat him as a featherweight yourself. The computer opponents are also very easily beaten once you’ve played for a little bit. They do not vary their styles all that much and you quickly discover that you can stand back a little bit and deliver your signature punch by simply pressing X, thus finding that all that time spent learning to master the Total Punch Control was barely necessarily. That said the game really comes alive when you play human opponents, who read this stupid tactic quickly and take you apart. My more minor criticisms involve the obscene level of product placement, whereby you can actually unlock the Burger King ‘King’ as a trainer. The choice of real life fighters is OK, but very American-centric and there are some legends you would probably want to use just for a laugh who are not present (as mentioned earlier with Tyson). Admittedly these last are pretty minor and I do forgive the makers. My conclusion then is that I am utterly addicted to Fight Night Round 3, despite its flaws. I still play the career mode despite hating it at times. 2 player fights are outstanding and you really need to learn the controls and use your head to out think an opponent. If only they could work on the stupid computer opponents and the infuriating career mode!
Customer Review: I so wanted to like this game
I’ll be honest I really really wanted to like this game as I’m currently fed up with button bashing fight games. Soulcailber/Tekken etc etc. Having selected this instead the Rocky game I was sadly disappointed in my choice. EA has put a lot thought behind the gameplay, that isnt the issue, Nor is the graphics which are brilliantly realistic to each fighter.Sweat dripping off when rushed and variating brathing when damaged, up close FMV of the haymaker punch connecting is very very good as is the actually fighting. There is also a good choice of boxers from each different class and of course the noted famous bouts .- I.e Ali Vs Frazier etc etc are all there. Add various scenes to fight in and the option to go toe toe being a welterweight against the monster that is Frazier really makes it interesting to see what would happen and how long you’d last. Ok it a game, but for me seeing them in the ring together makes an interesting idea. So let me explain why for me I didnt like it.. I’m new to the fight night genre and this game does NOTHING to welcome you and make you welcome to the control system. This game I feel is designed to make previous fans happy thats it. There is a training mode but it doesn’t tell you how to swing the punches or really give you a helping start into this game. I was countlessly beaten by what may be a very good control system (using the analogue sticks to swing your fists.. but without any guidance on using it it fails to make it for me, intead I’m constantly battered by the weaker opposition or in my case infuriated by trying to hit the punch bag by randomly guessing and wildly moving the analogue sticks in attempt to swing the correct punch. Yes I looked at the instructions but I’m a player that like to be guided for say 5-10 mins by on screen commands (even the most poverish games company normally has them on most games now, and dont forget this is EA they ain’t a new starting company or have a lack of funds) and then yeah I get the idea on what to do find my own way and improve my own style. I loathe to play games where you constantly have to refer to the manual to read – turn over the page… play game . read more ..play game a interupting stop start. If you a Fan yes I would buy it as I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.. but if your new to this game be slightly cautious and rent first.. Most rental shops if asked will kncok the price of the rental if bought straight after.

31A33F0VFKL Playstation2 Gamers Pack Rayman Advance Rayman Advance is perhaps the first real must-play Game Boy Advance game available. It’s a full conversion of the PlayStation classic brought to life in vivid detail with level-by-level optimisations, gorgeous graphics, large, detailed and well-animated characters and that patented Rayman gameplay that Ubi Soft has been delivering for years now.

Those unfamiliar with the character and story should expect yet another cute take on the 2-D side-scrolling adventure game but Rayman easily stands alongside Mario in terms of brilliance. Rayman, a cute, big-nosed guy with a pompadour fringe and an infectiously upbeat attitude, is the Guardian of the World. Oddly, he has hands and feet but no arms or legs to support them–but that doesn’t stop him from doing his thing. His powers include jumping, clinging to ledges, using his ears as a helicopter, and most importantly, punching. A helpful fairy doles out these powers to you as you complete tasks and progress in the game. Rayman’s task, as usual, is to defeat enemies and free creatures (called Toons) caught in great iron boxes. He also collects “tings”, which he can use to barter with magicians as he rids his bizarre little world of oppression from the likes of colourful bosses Moskito and big bad Space Mama.

The most striking thing about Rayman Advance is its graphics and gameplay. The design is extremely creative, there are things to bounce on, ride and grab and other tricks to do. It’s the sort of game that always has you doing something new, which is no mean feat considering it spans 60 levels. A first rate 2-D platform game for all ages. –Andrew S Bub
Customer Review: A classic conversion of the PS1 game.
Try telling people that Rayman Adavcne is an almost perfect conversion of the original playstaion platformer, and theyll shake theyre heads in disbelief. But it’s true! One one tiny cart lives a game that can trade punches with it’s home console counterpart, and still come out on top.
The smaller screen may hinder the game in some respects, but what you’re looking at is a retina feast. And while it may all seem incredibly sweet on the surface, the playing expierience is anything but, offering a masterclass in side-scrolling platform gaming.
The story, which propels Rayman through sixty levels and six worlds, in unchanged. Mr Dark, a masked villain, has invaded Raymans world and kidnapped the Toons. From here follows a journey across perilous terrain to mind the missing toons and rid the world of Mr Dark and his merry band of malcontants. And only Rayman is up for the job!
Despite the games visual style and originality, the process of beating the game is very traditional, with power-ups, collectibles, and regular boss fights. Dont let this put yoou off because, when it’s done as well as Rayman Advance, it’s an absolute pleasure to play.
At the beginning of the game Rayman has very few powers – bar jumping and doing farts – and you’ll probably feel restricted by his lack of moves. But before long new abilities are added to his repertoire, including a powerful punch move and the skills to climb, swing, grapple and hover.
Using the moves turns out to be top fun, due to the tight controls and excellent character animations. And from the first experiments with the super-flexible punch move, you know you’ve got a very special game in the palm of your hand.
In the long term Rayman’s slow start helps, because at the start you’ll wander around seeing many things you can’t reach and you realize when you have the right move, you can come back and get there. All in all a very long and fun rewarding quest.
Customer Review: Absolutely fabulous!!
I’d never played Rayman before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. As far as I’m concerned, this is one awesome game. I have quite a few GBA games now but this is one that I keep returning to. There’s so much in here to keep you interested and the attention to detail is amazing – just when you think you’ve got the game sussed, there’s always something new popping up! Great graphics, slightly dodgy soundtrack, first-class gameplay. Rayman rules! No arguments!

Customer Review: Not real happy with it
I’ve been a GH player since the first one came out and this one is not as much fun as the others. Mainly I don’t like the choice of songs. The interface has changed, but that didn’t bother me as I was able to breeze right through all the songs on Hard my first time out. (I’m pretty much an Expert class GH player) So playability wasn’t an issue, in fact this one felt easier than the previous 3 GH releases but that could be due to the fact that I’ve been playing for a couple years now. What really turned me off were the songs. They weren’t necessarily bad songs, for example if I heard them on the radio I wouldn’t change the channel in disgust. They just didn’t translate well to this game, they lacked energy. I really liked KISS, Poison, The Killers, Black Sabbath and Heir Kommt Alex as they are all fun groups to listen and play along to. As well as the song Cliffs Of Dover, so much fun to play. But the others just left me feeling bored and uninterested. I’m a GH fan for life and this of course is just my opinion, mostly about the selection of songs, not the actual game play itself as it was good if not improved.. However I don’t like the new look power meter, too hard to tell what’s going on at a glance with that, so they should go back to the original version. The new cartoons and characters… I could care less, I buy GH games in order to pretend that I’m jamming to songs in a rock group. They could have no cartoons and only one stick figure looking graphic up there for all I care and I’d still think this game rocked. Looking forward to the next release and hopefully some songs that I will find interesting and fun to play.

Customer Review: A step by step guide to setting up and using your XBox 360
This is a great companion to the XBox 360, not only does it cover the setting up and configuring of your Xbox 360 to get it going out of the box. But it also provides well illustrated, step by step guides to using your XBox to do more than gaming. Want a device to stream music to your hi-fi from your PC? Watch DVDs or videos? View your photos on your TV? This book is a useful reference to make the most of all the functionality the XBox has to offer, and makes the console look great value once you start making the most of it. Recommended!
Customer Review: It does exactly what it says on the tin…….
This is a great book for anyone that wants to do more with their Xbox 360 than play games. It not only provides step-by-step illustrations on how to set up and configure the console for gaming but it goes on to describe how you can easily connect to Xbox Live to game online and download trailers and videos (amongst other things). It also describes how you can use the Xbox 360 as a Windows Media Extender to stream audio, video or TV around you home. It really covers everything you could possibly wish to do with the console and explains it in a way suitable for beginners and the more advanced user. I didn’t know my Xbox 360 was capable of so much. This is a valuable addition to the library of any adventurous Xbox 360 owner.

Customer Review: Handy For Backup Purposes, But Restricted And Too Small
The sole purpose of me buying these Memory Unit’s is one word, “Backup”. I always backup my saved data because if my consoles die or go out with a bang, I always have something small around me which has the backup data, and it helps me get back into business rather than starting from scratch! This Memory Unit is for the XBox 360 Console, it’s 64MB and it can store any type of data you acquire for backup. Because of it’s size though, you are quite limited to what you want to backup as certain retail games have saved data from about 1MB or even more. BioShock alone requires 15MB per saved game. The Orange Box is another game, which requires big data space, 10MB per saved game! Because of this reason I use the unit for games which are finished and have saved data which needs to be stored on a Memory Unit, as if for example I get the “3 Rings Of Death”, my data is safe from all that bad hassle (I’m not looking forward to getting that Ring Of Death). I’ve also discovered another little ordeal as well. If you own XBox Live on your console and you store backup data on the memory unit, you may not be able to transfer that data onto another console with another player who owns XBox Live. I tried giving my brother my Sonic The Hedgehog 1 data from my XBox 360 to his XBox 360 using the Memory Unit, but the console refused to perform that action! My Grade For The Device: 7/10: On The Ball, Down-But Not Out, OK My Wish: I wish the unit were bigger in size and the ability to transfer data from one console to another! Final Comments: Overall, if you own a few Retail or Arcade Games on the XBox 360 and require a small device for backup purposes, then look no further than this Memory Unit. If you need something bigger though, then I think you need to find another device or get 2 or more of these! Review By Captain Chris Kipper
Customer Review: What it does
The memory unit stores your gamesaves and ALSO stores your gamer profile. This means you can take it with you to a friend’s house. So if you travel a bit or even just play on someone else’s console, it’s really quick & easy to take your xbox live account with you. It’s quick to install. PS – If you’re struggling to work out how to transfer your account from the 360 to the memory unit, in the dashboard, go to System, then Memory, then choose Hard drive (if you have one). Click on the profile and the 360 will ask you if you want to move it!

Customer Review: Great game
Play as a stuntman doing great stunts for movies its amazing. The Graphics are brilliant – I love the way the roads sparkles so realisticlly! I love the easy gameplay and the way the cars and motorbikes turn easily at the flick of a button! Its a brilliant game, and I recommend it to anyone. I love it!
Customer Review: Superb
Ever since Project Gotham came out for the Xbox, i have been looking for another driving game to come and knock my socks off. PGR had everything, a good learning curve, replayability trying to ace every single race to get the cars you desired. And on a whim i bought Stuntman II: Ignition. This is the very first driving game which has left me in two states… one of being just really content to play oevr and over again in a fun loving way, and then the other state which is rip roaring aggression to master every single race. At first i thought it was impossible to get over 2 stars on any race, however once I hit the odd jobs, i had a revelation, and i went straight back to the first levels… and 5 star after 5 star came (after playing and replaying and replaying the level!!) This is not a bad thing at all. It is about becoming the master stuntman and mastering every vehicle from monster trucks, to lorries carrying a scud missile to motorbikes. They all drive differently, and you have to adjust your play to crack them. The stunts themselves are brilliantly thought out, from driving through a lava encircled town after a volcano eruption, to a Dukes of hazzard type movie… they are all brilliant fun. The only gripe i have about this (and it is a very small one) is the fact that in the action replays and trailers for the movies, you can actually see the ramps you jump over. It would have been far better to disguise them as in a proper movie… however you can not play this game and want to master it without noticing the imperfections of the game! ;) As mentioned, the string system is basically that of Tony Hawkes (although i would put it more on the Kudos system of PGR) so every time you get close to an object, go through a time gate, get air, go on two wheels-(obviously this is for the cars, and wheelies for the bikes, hitting directors marks (doing specific stunts, such as 180 degree turns, getting close to cars, bumping cars, and cashing cars) you name it, and it is there! The controls are very easy, you have accelerate, brake left and right, handbrake, and the all important action button. This sets your car on fire, slide your bike, triggers an explosion, or makes you shoot out of your car. It is of ocurse all done to the directors wishes. The cut scenes (which are basically trailers for the movies you have just completed) are briliant. They are really cheesey, and WILL put a smile on your face, and are well worth doing the scenes just to see the trailers! There are some beautiful graphics in this game, the sound is OK, nothing amazing, but the dialogue at the end of the stunt scenes reflect how you did, and can be very amusing too. Briliant game, and if you like driving games that will test you, then go for this… oh, and don’t bother with the easy mode, it is utterly pointless, as it is very easy to get one star so that you can progress.

21irVi0GKtL Logic 3 Car Adaptor GameBoy MicroThe Halo games were always the best reason to by an Xbox and now the final part in the initial trilogy of ground breaking first person shooters is set to raise the bar for all Xbox 360 games. Well known for their secrecy, Bungie have officially revealed little about Halo 3, but what is known is that the new game features an Earth completely overtaken and controlled by the Covenant, as they seek a secret hidden Forerunner weapon.

Although little is known about the single player mode, more has been seen of the multiplayer, with various beta testing schemes going on in both secret and in public. A number of new weapons and vehicles have already been revealed including a new assault rifle, the new Spartan laser anti-vehicle weapon and a new hand held shield device for Master Chief that can create a far more effective protective shield around you. New vehicles include the ATV-like Mongoose, a new variant of the Warthog and the new, more powerful, Brute Ghost.

Of course the most important new feature that every new fan is interested in is the graphics, and they are looking predictably fantastic. With lots of technobabble, new features like high dynamic range lightning and pre-computed radiance transfer means the game will not only play great but looks amazing too.

Customer Review: A must buy
Halo 3 is the third game set in the world of Halo, and it was one of if not the most hyped games ever. It was deliberately hyped and Microsoft knew it would be their money maker, and so gave every single Live member, wheteher GOLD or SILVER membership an entire weekend to play Halo and any other game online for free. All I can say is that Halo, wehile being almost thwe same as Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, is amazing and bering the same is brilliant as it is what people fin so enjoyable and fun to play including myself. Multiplayer is the best part as it is so much fun to pllay with friends and finally you can play with friends in ranked matches.
Customer Review: good stuff
Ive had this game for a while now but have avoided playing it in favour of fifa and fight night. Ive got myself hooked up to xbox live at last and i thought id give the old slayer matches a go online. After getting my ass handed to me on several occasions by all and sundry, i decided to give the campaign mode a whirl to hopefully improve. Ive seen many varied reviews, but ive got to say I really like the game. It looks great, its not massively difficult, there are very regular checkpoints (which i really like) and its ideal for xbox live like most first person shooters. Obviously this game isnt gonna please everybody, but its been a long time since ive played a first person shooter that I like and enjoy, so I have to recommend this game strongly to any 360 owners who have not yet got it.

Customer Review: Great Value,Good sound,Fast Delivery
I ordered this product yesterday midday and was amazed that I recieved it lunchtime today. So far am impressed by the sound of these speakers both from my PC and XBOX 360.My main reason for purchasing this is my lg moniter w/s (1440 960 DVI and vga inputs) has no inbuilt speaker system and I run my pc and xbox 360(vga adapter) through it.My pc sounds fine through this system and the xbox 360 sound blew me away(just tryed G.O.W. sofar).I highly recommend this purchase if you have a similar setup to mine or want great sound from your xbox 360.The system is also well designed and stylish silver and black goes with my moniter nicerly :)

Customer Review: If you want to get the most out of xbox live then get one
The 20gb drive has all the space you’ll need to download extra maps, game modes ect as well as loads of xbox live arcade games and videos etc. There’s no set price for the 120gb model in the uk as yet, and after using an xbox 360 for some time it’s reasonable to say that all that space will be wasted except for the most hardcore of the hardcore, or those who wish to fill it with mp3’s, which I would guess most tech freaks already have stored on their pc. So if your xbox 360 is hdless then this is the way to go. Expensive, yes, worth it, yes.
Customer Review: Not worth the price
If you are looking at this and you are thinking its right for you, its not, you are being conned at this price, I’ve been wanting the new 120GB hard drive for quite a while now, and although im still waiting the wait is worth it, this is because the HDD 120GB drive, is priced at 170 dollars, and a quick check on www.xe.com confirms that 170.00 USD (united state dollars) = 85.3642 GBP (United Kingdom pounds). So for 20 quid more, you are getting 100GB. Just think about it ;) the 120GB drive is expected in around 30 days.

Customer Review: Chatting made comfortable
This wireless earpiece is a must have bit of kit (in any colour) firstly the sound quality is great secondly the mic is good quality though if you are playing against people from the far reaches of the world its occasionally a bit crackly) The box comes with two sizes of loops that are interchangable so you can get a comfortable fit. The design is great and just tap the on/off switch and it mutes your mic. All vioce comms come over the headset whilst the sound still comes out of your audio system so aids the clarity of the design! What more can I say a nice comfortable bit of kit

Table Tennis (Xbox 360)
21X7RDQRC2L Superbreakout/Millepede/Lunar Landing (GBA)In a nutshell:
A next generation game of Ping Pong doesn’t necessarily sound like the best use of your Xbox 360’s abilities – no matter how good the graphics are. Just a few quick plays though will turn apathy into addiction.

The lowdown:
You might come for the budget price but you’ll stay for the gameplay in what must be the most engrossing new sports game in years. Although the realism is probably going to be beside the point for most people this looks and plays exactly like the real thing. That means the controls basically work like a normal tennis sim, with four basic shot types on the face buttons and some easy to apply aftertouch available on the left stick. You can mix and match shots by holding down multiple buttons and there’s a handy warning rumble when you starting getting your returns too near the edge of the table. Although the presentation is a little dry, especially for a Rockstar game, sports games don’t get much more fun than this.

Most exciting moment:
Although it’s a shame there’s no doubles matches the game is still at its best online in multiplayer mode. If you don’t have Xbox Live though you’ll find the computer players are very realistic, with their own quirks and specialities that make them seem far more like real people.

Since you ask:
The game features seven extra playable characters to unlock by beating the single player tournaments. The nationalities of these players are Brazilian, Irish, German, South Korean, Japanese, English and Egyptian.

The bottom line:
It may sound an odd idea but this could be the most addictive game yet for the 360.

Customer Review: Quick Overview
I recently purchased this game due to the fact it looked good and was incredibly cheap. the game itself is easy to get to grips with, you can understand the basics after only about ten minutes of play, once you have those it is pure experimentational play which improves your game. i am a table tennis fan, however, even my sister loves the game too ( for both sexes: thumbs up). you can unlock new arenas, characters and clothes ( oooh the joy) but overall this is such an amazing game to play. the graphics are top notch and so is the RAGE engine’s capabilities. it looks amazingly realistic and caters for hours of fun. A must buy for anyone looking to have a little fun on their own or with their pals. Great Game!!
Customer Review: prototype
this is merely a prototype of graphics for gta 4 and i think we all know these are awsum graphics you can only rate this on graphics and drive yourself crazy waiting for gta 4…

Logic 3 Dance Mat for PSone and PS2
21GR4NAJ9BL Superbreakout/Millepede/Lunar Landing (GBA) Amazon Price: ?14.99
Customer Review: Dance Mat
I recieved the dance mat as a christmas present and have not been able to use it properly as I don’t have any games to go with it! I am after a game called ‘Street Dance’ to go with it as even though it is meant for an eight point pad, you can also use four! The dance mat looks very good quality and it is so easy to set up. All you have to do is take it out of the box and put it in the slot! I have tried playing on it through other games though you need a controller for them as the are not made for a dance mat! I am sure this is EXTREMELY good quality and will work very well with whatever games I end up getting!
Customer Review: Excellent–but disposable
Generally speaking, I highly recommend dancing games for the PS2–they’re great ways to get fun exercise, they make excellent party games, and they hone your sense of rhythm. The question is, which game should you get, and which dance pad? Since this pad doesn’t come with a game, I’m going to ignore the software question, and focus on the hardware. I bought a Logic 3 Dance mat for my PS3 in January 2006. It’s lasted pretty well, but it’s slowly gotten a little more ragged around the edges. Now–after a little less than two years of being used twice a week–it seems to be on its last legs; I have to step on the arrow buttons just right to get them to register. Two years of use isn’t bad for an item whose function is to get stepped on repeatedly and energetically. Having read a variety of reviews, it seems that the Logic 3 Dance Mat is actually one of the more resilient options for a dance pad. So I would certainly recommend the Logic 3 Dance Mat–you just need to realize that you will need to replace it occasionally. If you want a model you don’t have to replace, you’ll need to spend considerably more money and get a hard metal dance pad. (I’m not sure if Amazon sells them, but you can get them from many retailers.) One last tip: it’s tempting to store your dance mat by folding it up–but that will make it go bad MUCH quicker. If at all possible, store it flat. (It’s thin enough that it slides easily under an average sofa.)

Customer Review: X BOX 360 XMAS disappointment
This box malfuntioned straight out of the packaging. The start up screen never appeared. On reboot it did but the box malfuntioned continually after that with games crashing out or screen freezing after variable amounts of time sometimes 5 minutes other 35 minutes. This was on Xmas day after it was given as a Xmas present – how much disappointment there was. It culminated with the red lights of doom signifying the box had indeed died. I now have to wait until January 2nd for a pick up – who can guess when the repacement will arrive? 3rd January 2008 – good service – hop it works this time.

Customer Review: Too hard for me!
The graphics are great, the music is good and the touch screen duelling makes good use of the DS. But I just found it too hard to play and enjoy. I got stuck in the ship graveyard and found that there was ages sometimes between game saving points. I am probably not enough of a seasoned gamer to have a go at this one and all those torches to light and carry before they went out just drove me NUTS! I prefer the Dead Man’s Chest game.
Customer Review: Great!!
I got this game with my pink ds lite and it was absolutly fantastic. The duels are really enjoyable with the diffrent characters Elizabeth is the easiest to play as in the adventure mode because she has two sword and that is handy when being attacked by someone it kills them faster, But if you want a good dueler go with Will his attacks are amazing and Jack is just hilarious GET THIS GAME ITS GREAT

Customer Review: Handy
As soon as I got my pink DS, I had to get the accessory pack to go with it. The case is very handy, as when I put it in my bag, I don’t have to worry about my DS getting scratched or dirty. It’s a bit bulky, and the colour didn’t really match the pink on the DS, but it’s not really a big problem. I love the earphones with the volume control on it, and the in car charger is very useful. I don’t use the game case much, as I only have one game at the moment, and the colour of the case makes it look cheap. But all in all, it was a good choice to buy the pack!
Customer Review: Excellent
Got this to go with the DS lite. It all is fine. Excellent little case to carry 3 games and keep a spare pen to. Its hard covered so protects the DS. Also has a carry strap. This is brilliant for keeping it in but also for taking it on holiday. Came with pink car charger and pink headphones – although the headphones did say they had a volume control – but they don’t.

Customer Review: Horrible
I couldn't disagree more with the other reviewers here. This game has clunky graphics, terrible collision detection, ropey animation and lazy level design. I bought it as a Christmas present for my five year old nephew who loves Scooby Doo but hated this game. Luckily I'd also bought him Crash Bandicoot for his GBA too which is an excellent game so that saved the day. This is just another example of cobbling together a game as quickly as possible to sell it on the back of the success of the movie.

Customer Review: Best of coolsville
It is brill. You can be anyone in the gang! It will take you a while to complete. There are loads of levels. I have only got to the faux ghost with sheer luck. So for all those people who say ‘It is really short’ you are wrong because gameboy cartriges are small so they cannot store alot of information.

Th only downside is that it uses the old password system. I reccomend you get pen+paper and write down all the passwords so when you restart it you can go sraight to a level rather than starting all over.
