Customer Review: Genius game, techy graphics
I bought this game a week ago, and being an avid gamer I can easily say this is one of the best games I’ve played in a while. The system of linking your stunts together by getting close to objects and doing the jumps and spins in between is marvellous. The game offers a variety of levels with different vehicles. The construct is also a brilliant feature just as they had in the first Stuntman. The graphics are okay, it makes up for the gameplay. Explosions can be a bit naff and most objects are boxy looking but the gameplay is marvellous. The scoring system is amazing the only way to get a 5 Star ranking is to link all your stunts together without letting the points being added to your score until the end, and if your a perfectionist like me you will find this a lot of fun! Overall this is a game you should buy if it’s there and under ?25 and definitly a game to go out of your way for to get.
Customer Review: Great game
Play as a stuntman doing great stunts for movies its amazing. The Graphics are brilliant - I love the way the roads sparkles so realisticlly! I love the easy gameplay and the way the cars and motorbikes turn easily at the flick of a button! Its a brilliant game, and I recommend it to anyone. I love it!

Customer Review: Sonic the Hedgehog review
I bought this game hoping against hope that it would be good, that all the reviews I had read were wrong. This was a mistake, which I shall not be making again. Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast was one of my favourite games, and still is. It was one of the games that really got me into gaming. I still play it every now and then; it really is that good. When I first heard that there was going to be a proper Sonic game coming onto PS3 I was ecstatic - Since Sonic Adventure 2 there hadn’t been a good Sonic game, and I needed a new fix of speedy goodness. This game was meant to provide it, with wonderful next-gen graphics. This game has not provided it, for various reasons (although the graphics are very good indeed, this is probably the only really positive thing about this game). 1)It isn’t very fast. For some reason, SEGA seem to have slowed Sonic down. It is so slow that I really thought at the start of the game that there would be some kind of upgrade coming along soonish to speed Sonic back up to his Dreamcast speed. None of the reviews I’d read had mentioned that Sonic was now relatively slow compared to previously, and I still haven’t seen one that has brought this up. Well, I am. To be fair, that’s not a major gripe, though it is vey annoying: I wanted next-gen speeds to go with the graphics (which are very good actually, but don’t compensate for lack of oomph.) 2)The story is poor. it bears no relevance to previous titles in the series and is simply quite atrocious. Again, not a huge deal, but you’d have thought they’d have made an effort with theirfirst next-gen game. Sadly not. 3)The game is chock-full of glitches which are so glaringly obvious you’d have thought any idiot could have irooned them out. Not SEGA unfortunately. There really are some whoppers here. Sometimes, when you’re going along, on foot or on a snowboard or however else, one (either after hitting something or not) stops dead still. To be going along (moderately) quickly, and then to suddenly stop, even if there’s nothing that is visibly impeding one’s progress, is very disconcerting and actually makes you think about just how little effort has been put into making this game. Other notable glitches include a character, for no reason, moving up a slope that they’re supposed to be going down, and then it being impossible to turn them around again, hitting against a wall and falling into the scenery, losing a life (it’s quite difficult anyway without the added handicap of being swallowed up without a trace for no reason at all) 5)The camera is godawful. This has been a problem in 3D Sonic games since the Dreamcast in 1999. That’s eight years! And now the camera is even worse, somehow. It gets stuck very easily and generally conspires against you to make you fall into holes that are impossible to see until you are in them, etc. Not good. 6) To compensate for the general slowness of Sonci in the game, SEGA have put in special “Speed Stages” (I’m not joking, that’s what they call them. The whole damn game should be a bloody speed stage. Sounds like “free speech zone”, it’s ridiculous). In these “Speed Stages”, you can’t stop or go faster or slower, do any of the moves you can normally do, and the sad irony is that it’s not even that “Speed”-y. No more that you’d be expecting for the game as a whole. 7)Gameplay is generally OK, but not as good as in previous incarnations - obviously the whole thing’s vastly slower (in previous games, other characters were almost as fast as Sonic himself, in this, Sonic’s not fast and the rest are just slow). They kept the horrible vehicles form Shadow the Hedgehog, which are just unnecessary and really aren’t fun to drive at all, and to add insult to injury Shadow now moves with a horrid waddling motion which is irritating to look at and, as mentioned above, isn’t fast. Tails has a little girl’s voice - I don’t know if it’s the same in the Japanese voices, but the English one is the wrong gender and age. It sounds stupid. (Also, there’s no lip-synching. This is supposed t be NEXT-GEN,the least they could do is taking the effort to lip-synch it for the English release. Anyway, Tails controls badly, can no longer hover and has lost the ability to do a normal attack as previously. What this has been replaced with is frankly a joke and I cn’t quite bring myself to discuss it here. Rest assured, it’s awful. All the other characters have their good points, but most are flawed in irritating ways that taint the gamelay. Some bits are so glitchy as to be virtually unplayable, for example, thre is a snowboarding section that is actually beyond my power to describe it, it really is that abysmal. 8) This may just be my copy, but pre-rendered cut-scenes judder and have slow-down (somehow) if anything is happening much. It sucks, but I’m guessinhg this may just be mine as I’ve seen it running fine elsewhere. Whatever, it’s annoying. 9) Some bits just aren’t well thought out at all. For example, loading screens are very numerous and often the game will, when one has decided to do a challenge within the game world, the game will spend twnety seconds loading, then maybe a line or two is said, then it loads for twenty seconds again. I knew about this before I got it, so it didn’t get me annoyed to start with, but now, it gets me seething whenever it happens. They should have thought it through better. 10) Often, much of a level will simply consist of pressing forward on the analogue stick and not actually interacting very much. the majority of the game is either on a fixed, narrow track or on a rail, and in many areas, it’s possible to just sit back and watch the game play itself, which actually isn’t that fun. To sum up, this game, while having some good points, fails in most categories to delier, and disappoints far more than it enthrals. To those new to SOnic, I’d say, if you’re interested, get Sonic Adventure or Sonic Adventure 2 and a Dreamcast. This is not only cheaper, but you will be playing a much better game. To fans of the series, sorry guys, this is another stinker, I’d advise you not to buy it. This is dross, SEGA needs a kick up the backside for expecting us to go out and buy this crap. To be honest, this game probably deserves 2 stars overall, but it isn’t just any new game, it’s a Sonic game by one of the best developers on the planet, and they’ve spewed out THIS. So it only gets 1 star.
Customer Review: sonic 360? puh…
when i first saw this game on the market i got really excited and just had to ask for it for christmas this year, after aquireing my 360 console. As soon as i started this game the first thing i loved was the graphics, they are wonderful and i’m glad that sonic hasn’t lost its cartoon edge. But as soon as i started to play the actual game i wasn’t overly impressed, the story seems good but it has a few patchy parts in where i lost interest fast. The level design is pretty cool in some areas but a few of them reminded me or Sonic Adventure, for example the first stage the beach level was almost EXACTLY the same as the emerald coast level in SA (and i mean exactly)heh it even included the race with the killer whale sound familliar? camera controls….well sega has never been very good with those. some of the stages where sonics centre of gravity is STRAIGHT FOREWARD you aren’t in control at all apart from jumping and moveing around in left or right directions, these levels are very frustrateing not to mention the in game loading screens, some of them are absolutely needless they don’t need to be there but they are and the little glitches here and there in some levels annoyed me quite a bit. Its now easier to get A ranks and S ranks on the levels which is a welcomed relief, and gameplay is quite fun running smoothly without a hitch and the small tasks you can do to earn rings are usually very entertaining. all in all its a good game but with a few annoying bits and peices here and there.

Customer Review: I just love it quick to pick up impossible to put down
Well I spend my life now in limbo between this gorgeoulsy looking football game with nice basic controls and just a good old kick around and Mass Effect. Granted there is room for improvement in the game but its a bit like a movie that you love because it is so easy to watch and does not ask too much of you. This is great!
Customer Review: Addictive, but bad for you
OK the first thing is, as a lot of people have already pointed out, that there’s is loads missing from other versions of this game, if you’ve got a PS2, buy that version and add another star. Second thing, as each passing year the difference between the outgoing pro and new one becomes more difficult to spot. Pro 6’s graphics are slightly sharper, but the game seems to run at a slower pace. Third thing, the game AI. Pro ecourages you as a player to keep it a short passing game as much as possible, I’m sure this is the reason it is so difficult to make long passes and overhead through balls, so you adjust your tactics accordingly. But occasionally a dog kickingly frustrating bit of rubbish AI pop up out of nowhere. Defenders run away from attackers when you take control of them. The game constantly switches team members when you’re trying to defend. Attackers inexpicaply slow down when trying to get to long balls. These don’t happen too often, but when they do … Finally online, it’s not bad, creating a custom match can take forever when trying to find someone to play, but the patches that have been release over the last year seem to have sorted that one out. Should you buy it ? If you’ve got pro 5 on ps2, no keep your money. If you’ve got a 360, it’s better than FIFA (If I want proper names and kits I’ll buy a sticker album), so I’d say possibly, wait and see what the reviews on pro 2008 are like.

Customer Review: High quality gamepad that works perfectly on Vista
I bought two of these XBox 360 controllers for my new Vista PC.

Installation:

- An error message came up during installation but they seemed to install OK.

Use:

- The controller update software kept telling me I wasn’t connected to the internet (when I was!) but this went away when I updated the update software myself so to speak.

- I have used them to play Lego Star Wars II and they work perfectly. They have a nice look and feel. Build quality is excellent.

Concept:

- Very smart of Microsoft to produce a controller that works with PCs and their gaming platform.

Conclusion:

- Aside form a few unimportant hiccups with installation on Vista, this is a quality product from Microsoft.

Game Boy Advance SP Flame Red At first look, you might think the Game Boy Advance SP is a sleek travel alarm clock; when closed, it’s just as tall and deep as the original GBA, but only half as wide. Its clamshell design protects the screen from everyday scratches. Open it up and the hinge will seek out a preferred, pre-set angle (about 150 degrees), though you can open it a bit wider or narrower for your own comfort. The hinge stands up well to lateral pressure.

Many decried the original GBA’s reflective LCD screen and its reliance on external light sources. The Game Boy Advance SP’s main feature–optional built-in lighting–fixes this complaint nicely. The quality of the backlighting is very good; it’s bright and clear when looking directly at the screen, though less so from other angles.

The SP comes with a power adapter that recharges a built-in lithium battery; our informal tests found that it takes about four hours to fully charge (you can play it while it’s plugged in and charging), and the battery lasts about 11 hours with the backlighting constantly on. Using the backlighting less often will conserve battery power.

Size, power, and affordability don’t come without trade offs, though. There’s no headphone jack here–you’ll need a separately sold adapter–and the system isn’t very loud at its highest volume. The L and R shoulder buttons are a fraction of the size they were on the GBA, and thus are harder to hit, and the reduced size of the SP is slightly less comfortable for adult hands than the GBA. The cartridge port placement on the lower part of the console is fine for GBA games, since they are flush with the console body, but older Game Boy Color carts will stick out in a way that takes some getting used to.

Overall, the SP is a significant improvement on, and seems just as rugged as, its predecessor–which has proven to be very rugged indeed. –Porter B Hall
Customer Review: Oh boy I wish I still had mine!
I sold my GBA SP Classic NES edition to help pay for my Nintendo DS. I really like the DS but oh boy do I miss this beauty of a machine.

Let’s get the moans out of the way, yes the GBA SP only had a front light and not a proper back light so the screen isn’t as colourful as the DS. And yes, you had to pay extra for an adapter if you wanted to use headphones. But stuff that, this thing is amazing and I miss my old one!

So why was it so good? Well the design was spot one. I get finger burn and cramps from my DS light and my PSP when I try to play racing games, never got any pain from the GBA SP. Also this was the last portabl console to have the traditional Gameboy style layout of control buttons under the screen (instead of either side like the Lynx, GG, GBA, Neo Geo, DS & PSP). For some reason I find this layout better, don’t ask me why it just is. Some truths are as unedinable as they are unquontifiable!
Next up: the NES design is a winner, easily the best looking console I’ve owned. The DS lite is sleek but this baby had charm. The light weight clam shell design is very small indeed and easily fits into any pocket I ever had. Also the battery life took a mighty wacking on many occassions.

But the main reason I loved this console was the games. The great titles just kept coming and coming. I was getting a soar neck from trying to angle my old GBA under a lamp to see them. The GBA SP meant I could actually enjoy my games without hurting myself, which I think you will agree makes a nice bonus!
Advance Wars, Mario Golf Advance, Sonic Advance, FIre Emblem, Metroid Fusion, Wario Ware Twisted, Aria of Sorrow, Golden Sun and Astro Boy are as good as the best any system has to offer. In fact I argue that the GBA has a lot more AAA titles then the N64, the Cube, the Xbox or any of the current gen consoles. I still play many of the GBA RPGs and SRPGs on my DS as they are yet to be bettered. But some how they doesn’t quite feel the same as they did on the GBA SP NES edition. If you’ve got one KEEP IT!
Customer Review: one of the best!
I bought one of these the day it was released and I had so much fun with it and had some cracking games for it, notably Zelda! The handheld looks gorgeous, even today, its light and can easily store it in your pocket when not using it! I sadly no longer had it as I got a psp and a DS Lite, and I got to say, for a upgrade from the GBA SP, you got to get the DS Lite, as that can play the GBA games too as well as the many great DS titles that are available to own, but the GBA is still a greta buy today if you just want a handheld with no special features like touch screen. The GBA has a lot of games from all different types to offer and so you can’t go wrong with this beauty!

Sumnique - UK Mains Charger For Nintendo DS Lite
Customer Review: avoid!!
Had this about 2-3 weeks i suppose, been suckered in by the cheap price ,which by the way isnt when you look at the p&p.My 9 year old son just switched his on to charge, when bang goes the power,hi-fi,computer all went off,the damn things only burnt out, dont buy one,get a branded nintendo one instead.
Customer Review: Charger is easy to break
I bought this charger, it works/worked fine and had no problems. The connections fit securely. HOWEVER! When I plugged it into a power socket that was on, I heard a strange snicking noise. When I tried to use it afterwards it wouldn’t charge. Opened it up and had a look and one of the components was fried! So overall not a durable little gizmo, but it is cheap I suppose… If there was a shop with slightly better ones around me then I’d get one. But since there isn’t I’ll just have to buy another one and not put it in plug sockets that are already on! lol

Customer Review: Warning…
I got this game a few years ago and I have only played it a few times. You choose the loan amount, name your city, name your mayor, start building with limited money (you can get more loans though). There will be emergency bullitens on floods earthquake etc that destroy places (you can block them), you can choose stuff from menu which I don’t understand and connect up the roads and trains so they all go around the city which, was probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life! There is also this other mode where you choose from disasters and stop them (how I don’t know). The instructions are not clear and only buy if you have alot of patience. If not, there are alot of other great games out there.
Customer Review: Sim City 2000: Gardening on the Move
Having followed this series through it’s many incarnations I have enjoyed creating (and destroying) goodness knows how many sim worlds over the years. I was first hooked on it’s very first outing on the Amiga, a good 15 years ago. And alot of that original formula remains. You have control over the environment of the city, of amenaties, of land planning etc, of city spending on emergency services etc. And dependant on how you do, sims will move in or out of the city. What has got alot better since the original is the level of detail and variety of builds you can have in you town. Special buildings abound as do the choice of buildings for you key services, from police, fire, schools to hostipals and prisons. Another past time I have developed since playing Sim City, is statisticion. There are a wonderous array of graphs and stats to help you guage what is going on in your land. And you can spend hours just picking through these. All in all a great game. I could compare it to gardening on the computer, there is always another little corner to prune and get right in time for the next fiscal year. Go on, treat yourself to some quality time.

On the edge of colonized space, ship commander and Alliance war hero David Anderson investigates the remains of a top secret military research station; smoking ruins littered with bodies and unanswered questions. Sanders is now the prime suspect, but finding her creates more problems for Anderson than it solves. Partnered with a rogue alien agent he can’t trust and pursued by an assassin he can’t escape, Anderson battles impossible odds on uncharted worlds to uncover a sinister conspiracy . . . one he won’t live to tell about. This is a great book a real page turner. For anyone who is going to buy Mass Effect on Nov 20th I’de suggest buying this book to kind of fill you in on past events before the game. I hope there will be more books following this one.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 (PS2)
Customer Review: Tiger Woods - Losing his touch?
Well… i have to say. this game i got for about a tenner. Yeah, it’s a very good game but think about gettin 05 before. There are good and bad points about this game.

GOOD POINTS:

Good gameplay

fairly realistic sounds

Most pro names

BAD POINTS:

Not that long game-life

highly repetetive tasks

yawnnnnnn

If your thinking about buying a tiger woods game, buy either tiger woods 05 or 06. not 03 or 04.

Customer Review: Still too easy
Already owning Tiger Woods 2002 i thought it was time to get the new version and while the graphics and general game play are far superior i can’t help but think that it is far to easy a game to play. I can constantly record over 20 under par on a regular basis and that really isn’t much of a challenge is it. I was hoping that this version would be harder than previous but unfortunately EA have bought in additional features like designing your own golfer and not worked on making the game harder to conquer and make it more realistic and less of a stroll in the park which it has turned out to be.

Customer Review: Keeps little people busy
There were no reviews for this game posted when I bought it, but having been nagged for several days I went ahead and took the plunge. As with so many GBA games I was worried the game would be played with for 10 minutes then regulated to the bedroom floor. This new Noddy game seems to be a hit, although I must stress I don't think older children (over 6) will find the game much fun. The easy level took about 45 minutes to complete but strangely enough the game seems colourful enough to warrant several replays at this level. The normal level takes a bit longer. I tried the normal level myself and the one down side I found was the driving, Noddy's car drives like a 2CV on ice. But all in all the game has kept the kids busy and they seem to enjoy it, so I've awarded the game 5 stars on their behalf.

Customer Review: Put Your Game Boy Advance Wireless And Go Anywhere, Without Tripping Over
This is an alternative option for connecting you’re Game Boy Advance Console to another Game Boy Advance. The Wireless Adapter prevents you from attaching all those long cables and lets you roam free and play free, without tripping over. Although sounds devious, it came out when the Game Boy Advance’s Career was nearly slipping away as the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii were soon on the arrival, so unfortunately, not many Game Boy Advance games may recognize this Wireless Beast because of this reason! It does however; work with the Pokemon Games so you can use this Adapter for that reason without problems! My Grade For The Gadget: 8/10: Enjoyable, Fair-Play, Thumbs Up My Wish: Sometimes when I use this adapter I keep getting connection errors, so I do wish there is an easier way you can use the adapter to prevent this error from appearing! Final Comments: Overall, if you’re looking for a device, which allows you to have the opportunity to play or transfer between 2-4 Game Boy Advances, then I recommend this adapter! Review By Captain Chris Kipper!

Super Mario World - Super Mario Advance 2
Super Mario World for the SNES sits at or near the top of most “best videogame” lists for a reason. At the time of its release it was a dramatic evolution of the side-scrolling Mario series of action-adventure games, incorporating every gameplay element that worked in the older titles while adding a seemingly endless supply of new tricks. This new feature-complete version for the Game Boy Advance proves just how timeless designer Shigeru Miyamoto’s 1990 classic really is.

In true Miyamoto fashion, the game starts with simple running and jumping and gradually gets more complex. Soon you’re swimming, flying, tossing fireballs, and riding one of several Yoshis–cute little dinosaurs–that appear throughout the game. The overall level design has yet to be exceeded in a 2-D platformer, with each colourful level packed with enough secrets to keep players busy for weeks. A lot of precision jumping is required, but the controls are so tight that directing Mario (or even Luigi, who wasn’t playable in the original) becomes as natural as breathing within a few minutes of playing.

As if packing the entire original game onto the tiny cartridge wasn’t enough, Nintendo have also included two multiplayer versions of the original Mario Bros, which are playable solo or with up to three other people using Game Link cables to connect all your Game Boy Advance systems. Both variants are a blast, but the single-player adventure is what kept us coming back for more. If you missed Super Mario World when it appeared for the SNES, don’t make the same mistake twice. –T Byrl Baker

hurrah! a way to play the classic snes game on the move. the people that have given it one star are probably too young to remember how great games were before fancy graphics and silly controllers. its all about the gameplay kids… and this is the game to play.
Customer Review: Super Mario Advance 2 :-BEST GAME FOR GAME BOY ADVANCE CONSOLE
This is quite easily one of the best Mario games and probaly the best game on the GBA out now, You start with guess what the princess being captured out on an outing. This time you can play as either Mario or Luigi with both of the brothers have separate abilites and not Just matching outfits! So the Princess gets captured while on a Hot Air balloon Trip and Mario and Luigi go over to Entertain them-selves, when they get back she Is gone! There Is a whole map of the area you will be playing through which you can see after the Intro section. You start on Yoshis Island and realise all the Yoshis are gone and have been Imprisoned In certain areas which you can retrieve them while scrolling along the platforms. The Graphics are Great on this as you go by and the Enemies are good too! A lot more are Involved In this such as Fire Balls, Dino things, certain strange Fish. Basically loads but I cannot remember all of them, when you complete It though you get a Whole anime Video of all of them. Another ending after too…. The Best aspect is all of the Levels, I think there are 96 secret levels and exits in the game, I also have completed this 100% but the game Is an absolute Joy to play, various parts form as you progress and Unlock Secreted Exits. The music Is Great to, from the cool Vanilla dome music to the strange Illusion Forest. Replay Value Is great as really you cannot complete the game after Bowser, you can get all of the Five Yoshi Headed Coins In Levels and all of the Switch Palace. [The Yoshi End is Truly charming!] Big Wide Map, with plenty of Exits and hidden areas (Red) , lots of exciting Enemies, cool pick-ups Feather, ability to Fly, also the Original Power Flower and Mushroom. This Is Yoshi’s first outing, and could not be more Inviting!! The dinosaurs come In a Variety of colours each with their own abilities, My Favourite being Blue Yoshi. Some Levels Even require Yoshis help to get through, but there Is no hindurance Involved with him. Easily as the End of GBA Era ends, [I know about the New Format to take over DS] It Is the BEST game on the Game Boy Advance Console. I would also recommend the other Mario titles for Advance Series. Super Mario Advance [Reviewed] Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi’s island [Reviewed] Super Mario Advance 4 [ Under Construction Soon] Mario Kart: Super Circuit [Reviewed], by the way not worth it, looks so dilapidated compared to Mario Kart DS and Is a lot harder getting Triple Star than the DS Version. Mario Power Tennis: Power Tour [Reviewed] {RPG} Mario Golf: Advance Tour [Reviewed] {RPG}

Customer Review: It may seem like a scam, but it works really great!
I bought this on a whim while getting halo 3, and I have to say it’s one of my smarter decisions. It snaps onto the controller with minimal force, and doensn’t go anywhere. it’s perfect for typing text messages real fast. I am the only one of my friends who types names and descriptions for my halo 3 film clips and screen shots because I have this device. It comes with an improved headset, also, that plugs into the bottom of the chatpad. It, unfortunately, is not compatible with other xbox 360 wired headsets, but the one it comes with has better reception anyway. My only concern is the in-line volume and on/off switch. It wouldn’t work in the same place anyway with the chatpad there, but it can be slightly frustrating. I have noticed, however, that it is sensitive with sound, and you can whisper and make quiet noises without the mic picking it up, which is good if you like to talk to team mates during an online game, and don’t have time to flick the switch. If you do not have a headset for your xbox 360, I would recommend buying this instead; it comes with a very good headset, and it includes the chatpad, which seamlessly, and near weightlessly, makes messaging a whole lot easier

Customer Review: Pirates of the Caribbean
I didn’t expect too much from this game, as I thought it would be aimed more at the Wii. However, I expected the game play and graphics to be good. The graphics are very good, and at times you actually feel that you are watching the film. However, the game play was fairly disappointing - you can battle a foe far to easily. Once you have hit them twice, they just stand there and allow you to finish them off. However, I will say the when you battle a leader of a group (for instance Davey Jones’ first mate) the finishing moves are very satisfying. I don’t understand how this game can be rated a 16+. There is now blood or swearing, just fighting. Also, this game is not as addictive as I thought it would be. This game is not one that I would buy, but it is not a bad game on the PS3. I imagine that it would be good on the Wii.
Customer Review: Wish I spent the money elsewhere
I read the reviews watched the trailers and thought this game was a must have for the playstation 3. Whilst the graphics and visuals are nice I felt the gameplay lacking you can get through the majority of the fights by spamming the x button, the puzzles (if thats what they were meant to be) didnt offer any challenge, you were led by the hand to every objective. Are the graphics alone enough to warrant paying the money? NO I completed this game in an evening I found the duelling system laughable and the levels far to easy. I asked my eldest son to play the game he completed it in about the same time and his comments were the same as mine. When I spend this much money on a game I expect it to last me a couple of days at least but now I have a ?40 disc gathering dust on the shelf as I have no desire to play it again. Save your money and buy something else as I wish I had done

Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2
It’s probably for the best that Peter Cushing has already popped his clogs, because he really wouldn’t like Blood Omen 2. Not only do you play the bad guy, but the vampires in the Legacy of Kain series are more likely to talk you to death than get around to chewing on your jugular. Blood Omen 2 is a sequel to the okay-ish original, whose greatest claim to worthiness is that it spawned two much higher quality spin-offs, in the form of Soul Reavers One and Two.

The original Blood Omen was a top-down, 2-D, vaguely Zelda-esque action RPG that sold pretty much on the fact that you were the baddie and could run around drinking innocent people’s vital fluids. This new game has the same concept, but because everything’s now in 3-D, it comes across as nothing more than a poor man’s Soul Reaver 2. Despite the fact that there’s just as much combat in this game as Soul Reaver, you’re saddled with a very sluggish control system and the puzzles have been made much less interesting–90% of them involve pulling switches. The game is also incredibly linear and the graphics, although quite detailed in places, suffer from some of the worst slowdown ever seen on the PS2.

In short, if you’re a fan of the Legacy of Kain series buy Soul Reaver 2 instead. If you can take or leave all the vampire nonsense then Ico or Jak & Daxter are much better entries in the hall of 3D adventuring fame. –David Jenkins

Customer Review: EXCELLENT SEQUEL TO THE UNDERRATED ORIGINAL
Being one of the few fans of the somewhat “niche” original “Legacy of Kain” from waaaaay back in ‘96, I have been eagerly awaiting a sequel on a next-generation console. The “Soul Reaver” spin-offs were beautifully done, but a bit of a letdown in terms of gameplay. Enter Blood Omen 2, and all is once again right with the world.

One of the first things that hits you with this title is the absolutely gorgeous graphics. The visuals do an excellent job of conveying the grim, gothic world of Kain, which blends the medieval with a sort of mystical analog to modern technology. The atmosphere is further helped by a haunting musical score (though not quite as good as the crashing symphonies of the “Soul Reaver” games) and appropriate sound effects. Simon Templeman delivers a great performance as he once again lends his sinister voice to Kain, putting to shame all those games out there with cheap, laughable voice acting.

Gameplay is considerably better than in the “Soul Reaver” series. While the combat can be at times tedious and opponents can land some fairly cheap hits, overall it’s less stilted than in Blood Omen’s sister series. Kain blocks attacks realistically, and has a number of weapons to use on his enemies. These swords, axes and clubs can also be used on the peasants and townsfolk you will encounter, which leads to a key aspect of gameplay - blood drinking. Being a vampire, Kain needs to feed constantly, and there is a darkly satisfying pleasure in preying on the townspeople.

The only real drawbacks come from the price we have to pay for such excellent visuals; the game chugs and skips when things get hectic; three enemies and a peasant all on the screen at once can slow things down quite a bit. The puzzles are fairly simplistic - “pull a lever here, which powers another lever over there” kind of thing. Combat, as I said before, can get tedious; however, this can be offset by Kain’s ability to sneak up on enemies by hiding in mist and “stealth killing” them.

Overall, drawbacks aside, this is one you want to add to your collection, especially if you’re like me and actually own and still enjoy the original Blood Omen. Pass over the “Soul Reaver” games as rental-only - this is the true sequel we’ve been waiting for.

Customer Review: For the completist only………………
This is another game in the series of The Legacy of Kain. This was released after Blood Omen 1 and Soul Reaver 1(both on the psone) and then Soul Reaver 2.After this game, Blood Omen 2, comes the final installment of Defiance.

    So how does this fare?

Well the graphics are nowhere near as good as the other ps2 offerings in this series - Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance both put this game to shame. The graphics can best be described as functional. When i originally bought this i was utterly disappointed by the graphics.

The sound is okay, but nowhere near as atmospheric as the other Legacy of Kain games.

The game plays very poorly in my view. The control of Kain, a supernatural creature i.e a vampire is dire.He plays like a character swamped in treacle at times - and to line him up for climbing a ladder is so frustrating that you feel the urge to switch the ps2 off!

Those are the bad points. The plus points are some of his combat moves and special abilities. Also, his blood draining moves are entertaining. Also good, is the plot - it fills in more of the gaps in the Legacy particularly with Janos, Vorador and Mobius. The puzzles are okay too, though they could be a bit tougher.

All in all this game is very average and the poorest entry into the Legacy of Kain series. BUT - if you are a fan of the series you are going to want to play this.Being a completist of the games i had to have this, and when i play through the entire series i do play this game.Though i do rush through it and am glad when it is over i have to admit.

If this is your first Legacy of Kain game - STOP - go back and play it from either Blood Omen 1 (very old now) or Soul Reaver 1, which are both psone games. You will then get the full plotline in order and see that this game is just a blip in the otherwise excellent series of games.Buy this cheaply and don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed. It is the weakest in the series by a long way, but don’t let it put you off the others…………Defiance is the last, and best game in the series by a mile, but you will want to play them in order to get the full history.

Customer Review: Only worth buying if you’re a big fan of the film!
Although the characters and the scenery look great, the controls are extremely awkward. Apart from that it looks and sounds great, but to me that just isn’t enough! As I said before it’s only worth buying if you’re a big fan of the film!
Customer Review: Unfortunately it may remain lost….
We were so excited to buy this game after seeing and really enjoying the film. The scenes on the packaging were great and promised interesting challenges. Unfortunately the scenes are rather dark and it is difficult to play unless you get the light exactly right. Having said that, there is something for everyone from the youngest player to those wanting something more. I think this will be a hit with those who like the movie but for others, a first glance will put them off as its difficult to see well enough to play easily

Customer Review: quick n easy but fun
I dont often complete games- usualy i get bored and move on to the next one when im half way through. I managed to finish this game in a little over 6 hours- it was that easy. i wont argue that the gameplay itself wasnt fun, it just felt like you were rushed through the game without having much of a chance to just explore. You also level up so quickly that by the time you’re half way through the battles are so easy that u never need to use potions to restore health- just wait til you level again. on the plus side- and this is a big plus, i was addicted for the whole 6 hours i played (spread over 2 days), the plot stays pretty much to the book and the graphics are great.
    Customer Review: Very disappointing
As a pretty average game boy player I was amazed at how easy this game was to complete. Also I felt it was very dull as the challenges are all very similar i.e. look for five items, or walk into a monster and take turns to hit each other. I would not recommend this game unless you want the satisfaction of completing it, believe me, it won’t take you very long.

Backyard Wrestling: Don’t Try This at Home (PS2)
Customer Review: looks fun but really isn't
this game is something that looks attractive from the outset but the game play is shocking. th only good things are:
1)Settings can provoke different attacks from things like irish whips.
2)Finishing moves look quite spectacular and the graphics look good then.

but for these are the only plus points.apart from that it is shocking as basically once you put a move in you win because it is almost impossible to reverse anything. No contrast in the matches and playing multiplayer is pointless because the winner is just the person who puts the first move in. Although it looks tempting and harmless fun it isn't SO DON'T BUY IT!!

Customer Review: don’t PLAY this at home!
smackdown is a good wrestling game, backyard wrestling is not!
wcw on the n64 is a good wrestling game, backyard wrestling is not!
this game really should be good, you can pick up all manner of weapons to batter you opponents with, you can throw them off of roofs, you can light matresses on fire and chuck your oponents into them, but nothing feels good, nothing goes as planned, the controls are poor, the blocking and combat system is poor, the levels are pretty poor aswell, i’ve played plenty of games in my time (since the days of the commodore 64) and beleive me i know a BAD game, if you have an interest in backyard wrestling or just like wrestling on the tele don’t be fooled, i know this looks quite cool but it is rubbish. with it’s moon pysics when you jump off something you go ten foot up in the air first, you can’t really do alot with the weapons, and when you do get a chance to hit someone with a weapon it breaks.

Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? (Nintendo DS)
    In a nutshell:
The portable phenomenon that has taken Japan by storm finally hits the UK. Part puzzle game, part self improvement tool this is the only game that’s both lots of fun and good for you - and that’s before you even start on Sudoku!

    The lowdown:
Nothing about this game is ordinary, from the price to the way you hold the DS while playing it (vertically, as if you were reading a book). The basic idea is that you play through a series of puzzles each day, for about 10 minutes, and at the end of each session the “age” of your brain is calculated. The puzzles themselves range from simple maths questions to spot the difference, memorisation and comprehension. All of the answers are inputted either by drawing the answer on the touchscreen or speaking it into the DS’s in-built microphone. There’s also a multiplayer mode for up to 15 people where you can try and compete to record the youngest brain age.

    Most exciting moment:
A brand new addition to the game, not included in the Japanese version, is a special DS version of Sudoku. This works great on the DS’s touch screen and is worth the already low price of admission on its own.

    Since you ask:
A sister title to Brain Training, named Big Brain Academy, is due for release in July and offers to “weigh” your brain and improve specific skills such as memorisation and analysis. A direct sequel to Brain Training has also been released in Japan but is not yet scheduled for released in the UK.

    The bottom line:
The only game that really is for the whole family - from kids to OAPs.

Customer Review: Honestly - it’s good!
I got this game in January. I really enjoy playing the different games. You have to unlock certain games, like for e.g. there is a game called ’syllable count’, where you have to count how many syllables there are in different sentences. There is also another game called ‘calculations X20′ where you have 20 different sums to answer as quickly and as accurately as you can. The sums are easy, so one of them might be ‘ 8+4 ‘ e.t.c. There are lots of different games, which is one thing that’s good about it. Altogether, I would highly reccommend this game.
    Customer Review: Great Game
I’ve only had this game a couple of weeks but I’m really enjoying it. It certainly does exercise those grey cells and is very addictive. The only down side is the voice recognition where you have to speak out the colours. Even when I speak loudly and clearly it will often not recognise what I’ve said. Apart from that it’s a great game and is great for children and adults alike.

    Resistance: Fall of Man (PS3)
In the end it will probably be to the benefit of European gamers that the PS3 was delayed, since it will give Sony the chance to put together a much more impressive line-up of launch games than greeted the console in America and Japan. Resistance was easily the best of the U.S. launch games - a first person shoot `em-up from the creators of Ratchet & Clank. The game’s story is based around an alternate version of World War II where instead of Nazis you’re facing off against the insect-like Chimera in a war torn Britain (naturally you’re playing an American though). It’s basically Call Of Duty meets Doom.

The game doesn’t use the tilt sensors of the Sixaxis controller for movement but it does demonstrate the improved build quality of the analogue sticks, which previously made first person shooters difficult on the PS2. The tilt sensors are used in a variety of secondary roles though, such as when you have to shake off a monster or if you get set on fire. Despite the faux WWII setting, most of the game’s weapons are fantastical and, as with Ratchet & Clank, are probably the highlight of the whole game. All have secondary fire modes, from grenade launchers to homing bullets. The armour piercing Auger for example, also doubles as a shield. There are also vehicle based sections, including a particularly fun ride in an almost indestructible tank.

Although the single player game is well above average, the criticism about the sometimes generic art and design are not entirely without foundation. Thankfully this is compensated by an excellent forty person online mode - a huge achievement for a launch game and a very good sign for future online PS3 games.

Customer Review: Does not date that well
Note: I have not yet played COD 4! I’ve been playing this after getting it at the end of last week because I thought I’d take advantage of this game being priced at the budget end for ps3 games (good to see prices falling). First point then, the price represents good value at 20 even if the game is not outstanding. After playing UT3 for a few weeks this naturally felt slow and after playing uncharted i felt slightly miffed at the half-baked regenerative health system and complete lack of cover. When in a fight with the chimera you have to resort to time crisis duck and shoot tactics or just get in their faces and strafe round them. It’s pretty annoying to do the latter and then get battered by another 5 or 6 hidden round the corner. the game seems very gung ho but you need an element of stealth and that is frustrating in a FPS game. Otherwise, if you can get past some relatively minor niggles the game plays well and the chimera are easy to hate which makes it satisfying to blow them away. Overall, good value for money but bear in mind this game is roughly 7/10.
Customer Review: Not a good game for the power available at PS3
I’ve just bought myself the PS3 after been hit with the 3-rings of death of XBOX. God I loved my XBOX and suddenly that problem happened. To my surprise and contrary to my thoughts, the PS3 resulted waaay much better than expected. Super stylish, more sturdy, and by far less noiser than my XBOX (not to mention the Blue-ray and power potential with 7core processors). Anyway, back to the Game. Fortunately, I bought myself CALL of Duty 4 together with this. There is no way to compare. Although this game (Resistance) could be considered fun, it is way out of the league of what you should expect from a PS3 platform. Again, if you are into FPS, do not even consider this game. Just put a bit more of your pocket and go straight to Call of Duty 4. Simply amazing. The rest is all said. Hope it helps. (and once again, my thumps up for SONY, they did a really good job with PS3 and after such dissappointment with Microsoft, they certainly deserve the rewards.

    Customer Review: G-pak organizer
I would have given it 5 stars but it can sometimes be a little hard to zip up. Plus if you don’t put a towel or soft cloth over your console it will scratch the surface. Other than that the product is excellent and I would reccomend it.
Customer Review: Playstation 3 G-Pak is the way to go
This case is really good for those with a PS3 on the go. I like how the design has the PS3 sitting separate from the rest of your accessories; to prevent scratching, abrasions and such. The way it was advertised made it sound as if there was a ton of room. Don’t get me wrong, I can comfortably fit 4 controllers, cords, and discs galore, I just thought it was a little bigger. All in all, this is a great product with room for everything but the kitchen sink. I still wouldn’t recommend playing from the case however, the PS3 just runs too hot to have anything preventing optimal airflow.

Ciscotech Xbox 360 Live Headset Headphone Microphone & 2 year “replace for new” warranty!!
This product really is fantastic and highly recommended. And the amzing thing about buying from Media Accessories is that not only do they offer a complete money back guarantee inc. postage if you are not happy with the product, but also a free extended 2 year warranty!! And all at such a great price! You just can’t lose.
    Customer Review: Waste of Money
I wanted a cheap replacement for my broken xbox 360 headset. This headset is really uncomfatable to wear and the volume control on the bottom is stiff and takes a lot of effort just to turn it. My advice stick to the offical one.

    Customer Review: Not bad
Overall, our family enjoys this game. I bought it for my 5 year old as a fun finish to our homeschool days. It definitely teaches sequence of events, but I think the age definition (3-8 years) is a stretch. My 5 year old can’t play this without help, nevermind my 3 year old. It’s not the nutritional teacher that I had hoped from the title (for example Sam eats several boxes of cookies, which upsets his stomach, but just a few minutes later he eats an entire layer cake, and then a candy cane, all without complaint. He never once in the entire game or any variations, eats a nutritious food.) It is entertaining, and they do enjoy playing, but just cannot do so alone.
    Customer Review: Really fun
My 4-year old son really likes this game. It’s exciting for him to see the changes each time he plays. Pajama Sam games are a little more challenging than Putt Putt and Freddie Fish. In this particular game, there is a part that requires reading, and an advanced understanding of riddles. I suppose he could click and click until he gets it right but that would take a long time and he would get frustrated. (You have to match riddles with the correct answers.) Because of this I wouldn’t recommend it for a younger child who wouldn’t have the assistance of an adult, but otherwise, it’s very entertaining.

    Playstation 2 Driving Force Wheel
Driving Force Pro is a racing wheel that offers the very best in on-screen control. Enjoy more realism, more racing intensity and more fun than ever, with your favorite PS2 racing games!

Customer Review: Works on PC very well!!
This is indeed the DFP, even though amazon’s title says just DF. I used the G25 drivers on the logitech website for my PC. Works beautifully!! I don’t know why logitech doesn’t advertise this as a PC wheel. 900 degrees of rotation takes a bit getting used to. You can set it anywhere between 40-900 degrees under game controller setup in windows. Lots of buttons on the wheels, but not paddle shifters. Its more like paddle buttons, but I like to use the stick shifter instead. I had a Nascar Thrustmaster Force previously, and the DFP is much better at producing FFB effects. In fact, I had to tone it down because it was strong at default settings. Its also a tad smaller than my previous wheel so I have more space on my desk to mount it. The brake and gas pedals also have different spring tensions which makes it a little more realistic. The gears still make a lot of noise as with the Thrustmaster when turning, but its definitely smoother. I don’t feel the ‘notchiness’ of the gears. Playing GT2, GTL, LFS, and Richard Burns Rally with it.

I don’t have a PS2, but from the reviews it should work great also.

Bought this to use the les paul GH3 controller for xbox 360 with Frets on Fire for pc, Worked the first time which im amazed!! Simple to use, plug in the reciever, turn on controller, press reset on controller and press the recieve button on the reciever. Just a few click and done, once you have used the controller once, the device will automatically connect the next time, which is very useful. Installaion is very easy as well, i got the files from the internet before i bought this, so i didn’t need to use the disk. Windows does all the work for you and it does the work when you connect the controllers too! Overall a very good product to buy!!!!!!

Xbox 360 Glow Stand with Fan
Intec’s Xbox 360 Cooling Station is a great way to display your new 360, while keeping it secure from overheating. It has 2 ultra quiet motors to keep the 360 cool at all times. The vertical layout saves space and provides better ventilation. Conveniently stores up to four memory sticks. Stand glows bright green to match your Xbox 360. Low-profile, and custom-designed for your new console.

Customer Review: Xbox 360 Glow Stand with Fan
The fan speed isn’t of a high RPM, so it’s relatively quiet. More importantly, it doesn’t draw power via USB from the XBOX 360 unit to contribute to the heat generation. The base is sturdy, and lifted about 0.5cm off the ground to maintain a healthy air-flow to the base fans.

But I highly recommend getting the Xbox 360 Nyko Intercooler to assist in the air flow - glow fan bring air in from the base, and the Nyko Intercooler blows air out of the console.

Also, the green glow it provides in the dark certain gives a ‘wow’ factor…

Customer Review: Exactly what I needed
This thing is great. Instead of using my controller to watch movies with and control the Xbox, I can use this remote instead. It has all the features of a controller (x, b, y, a, etc) but more. Works right out of the box too, no connecting needed with the Xbox or anything. :)
