Customer Review: So much fun
I got this for my fiance for his birthday and he plays it all the time. We have friends over to play it and his 7 year-old even mastered the drums. This is way better than guitar hero and it is something the whole family can enjoy. The song selection is pretty good. There are a few I wouldn’t have picked, but I am sure some people dig them. Most of the songs are great and it definitely gives you a variety of songs to help you grasp a range of musical and gaming ability. We got the PS2 version so we could use our Guitar Hero guitar with the game. I love that you can use other guitars with it. Well worth the money. I got mine gift wrapped in a big blue bag, which was good because the box was a little ripped and he was trying to peek at his present. He was convinced I got him a tarp or a tent.

I live in Brazil, a very hot country, and my last Xbox 360 died because of overheating. I now have a Xbox 360 Elite and I am using the Intercooler since the first day of use and so far everything is perfect. I feel the difference touching the top of the Xbox, it’s still hot, but a lot less then without the Intercooler. Great product.

I cant believe they somehow messed up a port of one of the greatest games ever. really this is terrible the glitches are so bad i cant get past the second level and I,ve had the game for over a year. green hill is fun but its nearly impossible to get past the second. the game doesn’t even know whats going on some times. I bought this for my Mom for Mother’s day, but I tested it out first and I know she’d going to love it. She already has a Wii and she loves that. I bought two games and the sound quality is great, the picture is amazing. Just like the Wii, certain games will not allow you to play anymore, which is cool. Nintendo is doing a bang up job with their game stations. I’m getting one for myself and one for my Dad, he needs the Brain Age games.

Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3)
Purposefully held over to take full advantage of next generation PC graphics cards and the new consoles, this latest sequel in the Unreal Tournament series is looking to set new standards for multiplayer first person shoot `em-ups. Considering developer Epic Games’ Unreal graphics technology is used by so many other companies you always know a new Unreal Tournament game is going to look good. There’s tons of new features beyond just eye candy here though, including a whole new game mode called Warfare, which works like a combination of the existing Assault and Onslaught modes, with more involved mission goals that make team play absolutely essential to success.

As you’d expect there’s a hanger full of new vehicles and weapons including some nifty hoverboards for when you’re just on-foot and a number of new robot mechs for you to drive; all with varying numbers of legs including tripods and four-legged walkers. The enormous Leviathan tank is particularly impressive, with four independently manned turrets and a giant energy weapon.

Considerable work has also gone into providing the game with a decent single player mode, never one of the series’ highlights, with newly improved artificial intelligence that allows you to simulate a multiplayer game properly even when you’re playing on your own. User created modifications (mods) will also continue to play a hugely important part in the game’s success with the game shipping with a new version of the Unreal Editor for both PCs and consoles. After a quiet 2006, it seems like 2007 is going to be the best year ever for PC gamers.

Brought this game today and i was very dissapointed, the movent in the game is way to fast, theres no aiming in the game, The story is cheap because every level is either a deathmatch or capture the flag. The levels are small and not well designed. If you have call of duty 4 u will be very dissapointed with this game This would of bin a good game if it came out 3 or 4 years ago! Customer Review: Not an “out of the box” solution!
I am a System Engineer. I like to think I know my way around computers, networks, and electronics, in general. I generally have a great deal of patience in configuring devices to operate on my network. That being said, I cannot give this device a good rating. The documentation is poor and a networking novice might be in for a frustrating evening of trial and error. The claim that this is an “out of the box” solution for PS2 simply is not true. The range is absolutely abysmal; so much so that it is worth one’s time to rearrange that gaming area and string a cable rather than attempting a connection to a first-floor access point from the second story of an average house. I do not have two of these devices in order to test head-to-head gaming as the documentation suggests. I can’t speak to using this device with the Xbox or other systems, but I suspect performance would be similar. As a side note, this device performed similarly poorly when used to attach a laptop to the wireless network. If one wants a true out-of-the-box solution for home networking without running cables, I recommend the Actiontec MegaPlug 85 Mbps Ethernet Adapter or equivalent device. Get two, plug them into wall plugs near the broadband router and PS2, respectively, and get your game on.

Customer Review: Good 2.1 speakers for the money paid
These speakers are really powerful, especially good for pop and techno music. The two satellites give a reasonable clear and stable sound, and there is almost no annoying hiss on the background. The reason I put five stars for these speakers instead of four is resulted from the comparison to other products with similar or even a little higher price. I did not find other speakers have 20W subwoofer/6W x 2 satellites with SNR > 96dB for this price. The equalizer in iTunes and foobar2000 can easily decrease the bass level when I listening some light music, so I think the bass is not an issue for myself.

Despite reading the reviews i opted to fork out 16 quid for Sonic The Hedgehog as having been a sonic fan since the age of 9 i decided to ignore the reviews and buy it and see for myself what was the big fuss, hoping i would enjoy. But alas i have wasted 16 quid on what has to be the worst playstation 3 game EVER, the camera angles suck, the voice actors should be shot and the gameplay is absolutely abismal as it basically spends half the time playing the game for you and the other half asking people about crap you care less about it and also the cutscenes have major glitches which but its not just the opening cutscene its every DAMN one which just spoils it for me. I have tried and tried again to get into the game and convince myself that coz its sonic i will like the game but there is no way on god’s green earth i could like this game, so i urge you dear buyer do not waste your money, time or effort on this tragic excuse of a game and look elsewhere as this game pure and simply SUCKS!

May I start off by saying that this is a very good rendetion of the classic Sega Genesis games of yester-year. The graphics and sound are alike and the same, which is not a bad thing. All in all this is a very fun game to play but only for the casual gamer on the go. I don’t recomend this game to hardcore gamers who enjoy depth to their game but to the casual on the go gamer. The new version of Madden comes this year with over 150 plays to choose from and many different features taken from the older games. For instance, you can create your own player and instead of using a point system to build his stats, you must take your newly created player and train him in around five different tests to find out his skill level. Do good and ur traded to that team, do bad and well, lets just say you should start over and try again. Madden 2003 is a very good portable tried and true game of football for the casual on the go gamer and for someone who just wants to waist an hour or two on the plane. Overall I rate this game a four out of five stars mainly because it is and “rerelease” of the Sega Genesis madden of yester-year. Buy this game for the fun factor not the depth of it.

Customer Review: Classic Metroid Style with Some Upgrades
If you’ve played any of the classic Metroids, you know what to expect here. This game is just like its predecessors. You will be dungeon crawling to find power ups for your varia suit. Most of those will be found within a boss you must slay. There are tons of secrets to find as well as an added bonus of fear. Often times you are forced to either flee from the major enemy or to hide until it leaves. It makes for a very intense gaming experience. This is a great game for anyone who loves shooting bad guys and dungeon crawling.

This was a very well made Gba game, just like its past on game systems. I love this, and is probably my favorite for Advance. The game is loaded with secret stuff, and it’s so fun to be chased around by Sa-x. The only major drawback I found on this was I bought it here on Amazon, and not long after I bought it I found out it didn’t save right. It just goes to show you you’re taking a risk if you buy games online used, so I recommend getting some games new.

I like this case. I wanted something to put over my DS Lite to protect it from scratches and smudges. This case does the trick. Once I put the DS in it though I wanted to take it back out for a second and realized that it was a little difficult to remove the DS. I took my time with it and realized I could push it up and out from the bottom of the case. I did not want a case that would be bulky so I would have no problem fitting it into a carrying case and this case fits the bill. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to protect their DS Lite from scratches and dirty smudges.

I purchased several of these Screen Guards for my daughters’ Nintendo DS’ and they have worked great! It’s been 2.5 months. The girls play Cooking Mama and Nintendogs and scratch and tap the screens furiously. They adhere well and seem to be doing the job. Though, I haven’t removed the screen guard yet to see what it does to the screen surface but hopefully it’s still in good shape.

This game is only for people that have NEVER PLAYED pokemon before. Only then will it be a decent game. If you’ve played pokemon before and just bought this because of all the new pokemon that came out and the new adventure etc etc, if that was your reason then sorry to say but YOU’VE BEEN DUPPED, TRICKED, CONNED, FOOLED!! Nintendo (game freak) sure got you. I’m not bashing their name for nothing, I’ll list you all the reasons why this idea is indeed based on something. Slap a new name on an old game. Pokemon diamond is almost the same old game as when it first came out. Being on the new DS, you would expect it to at least upgrade its graphics and utilize the DS’s full potential more. The only differences are: The towns look different, pokemon attack you more, different types of pokemon, different types of people, different bad guys, more tm’s and hm’s. 1. POKEMON: Okay, in this game there are even more pokemons for you to find and….sometimes catch. But here’s the low down if you’re an analytical thinker. You see different types of pokemons right? But if you get to the basics of it, are they REALLY different or are they just the same old pokemons with a different look? Nintendo ran out of ideas for pokemons decades ago so they go into the pictorial dictionary of our earthly creatures and make a caricature of it and slap a goofy name that sometimes relate to the animals real life nature or…not..and call it a pokemon. They are so desperate to make up more pokemons that they brought in everything from dinosaurs to petshop animals to mystical creatures like dragons. Its to the point where its almost ridiculous to look at. Pokemon in this game seem to attack you a lot more, probably also based on ur abilities. Playing this game would drive you completely NUTS if you didn’t carry a lot of REPELS, which seems to be the only real thing that works to repel those obnoxious wild pokemons. Sometimes you can take 2 steps and get attacked. Think about it, you’re trying to solve a clue to get your way out of a cave and you get randomly attacked every 2-10 steps that you take. Just take a minute out of ur day and think of that for a second and see how you’ll feel. Buy some insurance for your DS because I almost broke mines. I know cheating is bad but this game literally begs you to buy an ACTION REPLAY or other cheat device. Why? Because through half of the game they keep having you encounter the same small variety of pokemons. Catch’em all they say? How can you if 90% of the DIFFERENT types of pokemons almost throughout the game belong to a trainer?!?! You can set up your team however you want, but that’s really limiting when you can only catch a handful of pokemon, especially old pokemon from the first game, even through half way in the game?! What is really fun is to be able to raise a pokemon throughout the game. Why would I want to find a legendary pokemon at lvl 50 when I’m practically done with the game? What I really really hate is how nintendo gives you a lot of pokemon like machop, gasley, abra in the beginning. They’re nice but they can only evolve to their final form by trading. That is sort of hard, I’m 22 and I don’t feel comfortable walking up to a little kid and be like “hey do you want to trade pokemons with me?” this is when a cop arrests me and I become a sex offender. I’m not crazy enough to play this online either. 2. DS Utilization: Okay, the DS has a much better graphics engine on it, so why not use it? Pokemon Diamond could have easily been done on the regular gameboy. Use of the stylus? It’s okay but nothing extraordinary. Sometimes its almost more convinient just using the buttons. Don’t expect a lot of interaction using the stylus, its very badly incorporated into the game, to the bare minimum almost. Graphics remain pretty much 2D. For those of you that say DON’T FIX WHAT’S NOT BROKEN, that’s the kind of attitude that makes you sink lower back to the caveman era. Don’t fix it, IMPROVE IT. 3. MISSIONS and PLOTS: SAME O SAME O. Old game with a new name indeed. Missions are basically the same, start in a town, objective to be the best, go beat gym leaders, beat the elite four, then battle tower etc afterwards. The bad guys are back, only difference is their name. Everything is EXACTLY THE SAME. Same with your rival. If you were starting to get sick of pokemon emerald….this is almost the exact version so pick one and keep it. 4. Battling System: EXACTLY THE FREAKEN SAME. NINTENDO, if you were going ot make the exact game and change it a little bit to trick a bunch of kids to buying your game and making you a lot of money, at least make the pokemon’s moves look a lot cooler. The moves have a little more graphics in them but HARDLY anything worth mentioning. THIS IS WHY I THINK IF YOU BOUGHT THIS GAME AND YOU’VE PLAYED POKEMON BEFORE, YOU’VE BEEN RIPPED OFF REAL BAD. WHAT NINTENDO IS DOING IS WHAT THE MOVIE INDUSTRY HAS BEEN DOING FOR A LONG TIME AS WELL. ADD A LITTLE STUFF, ADD A LITTLE SUSPENSE ON THE RELEASE, SLAP ON A NEW NAME AND BOOM, GULLIBLE HUMANS EATING YOUR TRASH. Get a flashcart everyone! You can put all your games on a memory card and play it on ur ds. Saves you lots of money! This is the only thing I can think of now but I’m pretty sure there’s more complaints to be said. Oh yeah, you can’t trade in your pokemon from your other pokemon games until much later when its almost useless. Be prepared to be pissed off when your pokemon that has a 165 based attack power and is 10 levels above a wild pokemon and still can’t KO it with earthquake and its a normal effective move. THat’s how ridiculous it is, and that pokemon has a 70 base def too…RIPP OFF!!!

I bought this all in on cable so that I could battle my friend on his gamecube on pokemon XD. However, when the connection screen showed up it said to save your pokemon game at a pokemon center. I saved it at the center, and connected at the same moment that this cable was detectimg the connection it automatically stopped the connection and said i didn’t save properly, AND ON TOP OF THAT IT DELETED MY WHOLE POKEMON SAVED FILE, and now i have to start all over. Bah! I wouldn’t buy this cable, maybe you should get a brand name one.

I am a 40 year old female who still loves video games, but more specifically…I love racing games, Gran Turismo being my all time favorite.

I use the Logitech Force Feedback steering wheel but had previously used it mounted to a small table while sitting in a dining room chair. That set up actually caused allot of discomfort and fatigue when I wanted to play longer. My braking foot needed to hover in a very uncomfortable position and my husband rarely played with me for that reason. Your legs just ached. Try as I may it was very difficult to mount/place everything at just the right distance and angle for any long term fun.

When the Evolution Seat went on sale for $239 thru Amazon with free shipping I couldn’t resist.

Quality and comfort are both excellent and of course it makes racing even more “simulator like” than before.

The bottom of the chair (it’s metal frame) is smooth and slides easily and damage free across my living room carpet, which is fairly important as it’s a little too heavy to lift and move single handed. If you needed to store it you do have the option of folding the seats back down after removing the pins. You can also remove the steering and foot mounts from the center crossbar to shorten. Luckily I have just the spot for it as I do not think I would care to make such an effort.

Next is comfort…no complaints here! You can adjust the foot pedals and the steering wheel to just the right distance meaning no more foot fatigue or discomfort in my arms from overly bent elbows. The chair itself is extremely comfortable and I am 6′ tall and actually eat.

I can easily sit for 2 hours and never feel the least bit uncomfortable. The seats comfort is equal to that of my Honda and exceeds that of my Ford.

If you really enjoy using a wheel with racing games then this is certain to enhance your enjoyment and realism. If you rarely play racing games with much enthusiasm then this will probably end up collecting dust and taking up valuable floor space, which leads me to measurements.

From the seats floor frame to the end of the pedal mounting plate is roughly 50″ (this is adjustable for your height). The chairs height from floor to top (headrest) is 40″ (this is stationary though the seated can fold forward). The top of the seats cushion is approximately 12″ off of the ground, which places this at an ideal seating height to view my LCD TV which is placed on a TV stand. At it’s widest point it is about 20″.

For a little more fun I added the Buttkicker gamer to the chair. In order to mount it I made a metal X frame from 2″ wide, 1/8″ thick flat steel which I sandwich and bolted in between the seat and it’s floor frame. In the center of that X frame I welded a 3/4″ OD steel pipe with a threaded end. I of course used the pipe for the Buttkicker’s mount. I also installed a metal cap to the threaded end of the pipe to keep the Buttkicker from vibrating down and off of the pipe. This is a convenient way to mount the Buttkicker and it distributes the vibrations well WITHOUT any changes or alterations to the chair or Buttkicker themselves. Now there is force feedback in both the steering wheel and the chair itself.

You get the idea I kinda like this stuff ah?

Customer Review: XBox 360 wheel needs an adapter
If you plan on using this chair with the Xbox 360 Racing Wheel, in my experience the adapter plate is required. This plate is not included with the standard Playseat, so if you want to setup and play make sure to order both at the same time. Velcro and other home brew solutions did not keep the wheel steady enough for my taste. Also, it is worth noting that the adpater plate is bolted on to the platform, so quick changing from the XBox 360 wheel to another wheel (like the Logitech G25) is not possible without some tools and patience.

Another consideration users should make before purchasing is storage. The chair is large, so when it’s not in use you’ll have to put it somewhere. My gaming room includes a pinball machine, and when you collapse the back of the chair and slide the adjustable sections to their smallest possible position, the chair neatly slides under the pinball, making for a perfect storage solution.

Cortana is cool, and every Halo nerd wants one on his shelf. But this may fall short of cool. First, the led lights beam at her, not through her. which does fails to properly illuminate Cortana. Second, the plastic has seams and irregularities that show up when the lights are on. this takes coolness away (for me anyways) from the smart and sexy Cortana that we all love. But you get what you pay for, as they say. And this is what you get.
Customer Review: Everyone’s favorite Hologram
There isn’t too much you can do with a figure of a hologram. Since there can’t be any real articulation this toy is basically a statue. But it is a good one, and since there are not joints or moving parts it has some great detail and a nice layout. There are three LEDs in the base that give her a nice blue glow, which is a nice feature. the switch is on the bottom of the stand though which means you have to turn the figure over to turn it on, which isn’t bad or hard, just a fact. Being made of plastic the durability on this toy is fine, so long as you stick it on your shelf and don’t fool with it too much. A heavy hand, or a child, would have no problem breaking little Cortana into a couple pieces.

Okay so we own all three of the new consoles, and this one hardly ever gets used. I mean I guess if you’re a teenage boy and a hardcore gamer then I would say you might like it. Plus this was the most expensive system. It was $350 for the system, $75 for the wi fi, $50 for Xbox Live (per year), I think it was like $80 for the HD DVD add on and it only has a 20GB hard drive what gives with that? Plus the HD DVD add on is useless now. The fun you get out of this system does not justify the cost of it. When I was researching this on the internet I would always read about how it has the most games, to be honest it does have the most games but it also has the worst games I’ve ever played. Most of the games for the Xbox 360 are first shooter games and I hate those. Plus I hate having to worry about getting the RROD every time I turn it on. It also gets extremely hot. My Wii and PS3 never get as hot as the 360. I’m sorry, but I cannot recommend this console to others.

If you’re looking to play online multiplayer games, buy the 360. Xbox Live is far beyond anything Sony and Nintendo have at the moment. As for hardware issues, I’ve had my 360 since Nov. 2006, and it’s been solid as a rock. I’ve shipped it, moved it, even dropped it. Maybe I’m just lucky, but don’t pay attention to the 1 star naysayers. The 360 has the best collection of games of all the current systems. I feel like the controller is better than the PS3’s (something that should not be overlooked).

Formula One Championship Edition (PS3)

In a nutshell:
The most exciting Formula One season for a long time has spawned a console simulation to match with long awaited new online modes and some surprising PSP connectivity options???

The lowdown:
Owning the official FIA license means this game is the only one with all the real 2006 drivers, cars, teams, circuits and rules – but thankfully there’s more to this game than dull simulation. Although little is known about the PS3 version of the game so far Sony has demonstrated a way to connect the PSP to it and use the portable console as a fully interactive wing mirror – displaying exactly what is going on behind you in full 3D.

The bottom line:
The PS2 and PSP are in pole position for this welcome racing update.

ok first the pros: pretty good graphics,not amazing or gt5 prologue levels by any means but they do the job. good sound,the engines are obviously sampled from the real thing and it shows. cons:2006 season so you are still driving old cars with some drivers that have left like shumacher and obviously you cant drive as lewis hamilton. worst of all though…the handling.the cars just dont have any level of adjustment and will only understeer there is no delicate balance at all.you can turn the traction control down but not off and you can adjust the downforce at the rear all you like but the cars just keep on understeering!! unlike other proper driving games like gran turismo where adjusting these settings actually make a proper difference which for me ruins the game.
Customer Review: Excellent game – recomended
This is an excellent game – and being an avid Formula One Grand Prix fan it is easier for me to appreciate just how good this is. It is impressive graphics wise, quite a step forward from the old PS2, and the game play is good also. You have several different modes, a quick race, a championship, a test day, or a five year career mode. The game incorporates all the good elements of the 2006 FIA Formula One world championship, drivers and cars alike, although if there is one complaint it would be the fact that Juan Montoya is still in the McLaren, but obviously the game went to the shelves before that could be rectified. The cars handle and drive well, and can be altered and set up nicely to drive excellently. Just a little complaint again, would be the sometimes jagged nature of the steering, but it’s a minor niggle. There is also an F1TV mode, which allows you to see an entire grand prix race played out on your screen, just as you would on a race weekend. This is a good extra, one that I have always appreciated, and can get surprisingly exciting at “crucial” points in races!! All in all a good game, and definetly recommended.

This game is weird… even though the description on the box may have you thinking that this is a game about volleyball and jet ski racing, this game appears to be some kind of distorted perspective on female social hierarchies by the (obviously male) developers. Either that, or a joke. However, there is something really compelling about it, and I’m not just talking about the hot women or the mind-boggling “bounce” physics (mind-boggling in a bad way ie it is distracting to the point it is like hypnosis gone wrong); there is a really addictive and compelling aspect to this game that I can’t quite put my finger on. Despite its flaws and the fact its essentially soft-core pornography this game is addictive. There is always something to do, always swim suits to buy, always friends to make. And its a good game just to chuck on when you’re bored and don’t want to think to hard about anything. The only thing is that the achievements take an insanely long time to get. If you’re playing this game I would recommend setting the voices to Japanese and playing along with music on your HDD. If you set the voices to English, have some balsa wood nearby or something because you are going to want to smash someone over the face with how intensely annoying it is. Also the available soundtrack to this game is like throwing yourself into a tree-shredder. I’d recommend this game to anyone who wanted something more from the Dead or Alive series. And by “more” I really mean “less” as in less clothing.

Customer Review: Turn an old monitor into a TV
I have an old CRT that is still in fine working order but is no longer in use. I have an ancient television that is finally breaking down. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a truly inexpensive new TV. I wanted to find a TV tuner so I could replace the old TV with the CRT.

This product really fit the bill. It was simple to set up and within 10 minutes I had cable TV on the monitor. Keep in mind you’ll need speakers. Any speakers you can use on a PC should work, and they plug right into this box.

I am using it with a 17 inch trinitron CRT monitor and the picture is very nice at 1024 X 768. The box supports much higher res than that.

There are similar devices for a little less money that don’t support higher resolutions. I went with this one so that I could connect an LCD monitor of higher res in the future if I wanted.

I did not try to connect this box with my computer because I was not looking for TV on my PC, so I can’t comment on how easy or hard that is.

Customer Review: Looks can be decieving
So, i bought this figure for several reasons, foremost of which it just looks awesome and having gotten it home, it does it looks awesome but looks can be decieving there are a couple problems with this thing most notable of which is the right hand the pictures show it holding the hammer, yet mine came glued together, and i actually had to cut the thumb away from the fingers that being said, the individual peices on this thing are very high quality plastic i am somewhat afraid of breaking it, but i’ll explain that in my next point the articualtion is a brain teaser some of it is standard, the ankles move, the knees move, the chest moves, and the shoulders bend but they crammed a lot of articulation into a timy figure, and that means that figuring out what piece rotates is a pain in the patuki and it doesn’t hold the hammer with both hands, only the left but the hammer rocks like really it just plain rocks the detail and painting is fantastic, and the peg hole for attatching it to the backs of characters is practicly invisable also, the plastic gives enough that extranious bits like the prongs on the head and arm shield have little fear of breaking or falling off all in all, this is a great figure for display, albiet somewhat awekwardly (i’ve found using the hammer as a guitar works well ) this toy is alright for play, not the best thing, but not horrible either

Opened my figure only to have the hammer come out in two pieces. The top half must have broken in transit to the store where I bought him. The figure and hammer were securely fastened in the packaging with tape and twist ties. It is nothing a little glue did not fix but I’m afraid if the hammer takes a fall or dropped it can break again. Figure looks great and well articulated.

Customer Review: Ok to keep you sharp, but frustrating to use
The premise is great and some of the features really are enjoyable to use. The software has you run through various memory, observation, mathematical and verbal exercises to stimulate your brain. It scores you based on the time it takes you to complete specific exercises as well as correctness. In many ways its great and fun. However, there are a few annoyances that grind on you within a few days. The comical inventor that talks to you gets to be a drag after a while, with the same phrases and nonsense…. yes, I know, it stimulates your prefrontal cortex. Enough already. There really should be a way to turn some of those repetitive screens off, once you have seen them for the 50th time. Sheesh. Another issue I have is the handwriting recognition. The game has you write the answers to basic math questions on the touch screen and uses handwriting recognition to interpret what you wrote. The problems arise when you write numbers differently than the software wants. If you write a 7 with a horizontal line through the middle, be prepared for the game to recognize the seven early and then read that line as a 1. Half the time it doesn’t like my 4s because of the spacing between some of the lines. So you have to learn to write like Nintendo wants you to, which slows you down and can frustrate… and thus screws up your score totally. For some reason, in one of the verbal exercises, every once in a while, the software cannot understand what I’m saying when I say blue. It will get me saying blue correctly several times and suddenly it just doesn’t get it and makes me repeat it, I say blue again, it says “try again” and I’m speaking to it like a deaf child “BBUUUULLLLUUUUUUU” and finally it takes. So much for todays ‘brainage test score’ which now has my brain at 89 years of age given it took 5 tries to get the color of the text understood. The concept is great and it really does make you use your greycells, but some of the recognition issues could have been avoided with more user control over when to evaluate an answer (how about I write a number and then press a DONE button on the bottom?), or adaptive learning so you can teach it to fine-tune some of the character or voice recognition. In all, its worth the price.

I LOVE this game! It took me a while to actually buy it, I myself being one of the people who thought “educational video games…no way!” But I am SO glad I did. As you play through you unlock more mini-games to train your brain, and other fun things as well! There are tons of sudoko puzzles to play also! You can test your brain age once a day, and the tests are always different and fun. The only negative thing I can say is that my brain age is never steady! Sometimes it will be in the 20’s (20 is the lowest and best brain age) and the next day it will be in the 50’s! However, that just makes me play it more! The microphone almost always picks up exactly what I am saying, and there are many games that utilize this cool feature. The only bad thing I have to say is that the game seems to have a slower clock than what really exists, and because you can only do each game or brain age check once a day, you can’t play them as often. But even so, this game rocks!

All halo fans know the story, but do they know where it started? That is one thing curiously left out in the Halo games and in most of the books. This book, Contact Harvest, gives you the story of first contact with the covenant, and the beginning of a deadly war. Avery Johnson, a popular character in the Halo games, makes his first appearance in the war on Harvest, a lowly planet on the edge of UNSC controlled space. Harvest is the UNSC’s foremost supplier of food for all of its colonies, but is a distant trek away from any of the core planets. Although the UNSC does not know it, Harvest also falls close to the edge of Covenant controlled space, a terrifyingly powerful race, so far unknown to the UNSC. It all starts with a lone unarmed UNSC freighter that has trouble with its slipdrive and drops out of its travels in the middle of open space, right in the path of a covenant destroyer. Why would anyone want to read this book? First, if you are a hardcore Halo fan, this is a must read for you. Anyone who has played the Halo games and enjoyed the story like me, should know where it all began. Yet another reason to read this is, even though you may not be a Halo fan like me, it is still an excelent read as a standalone Sci-Fi story. Lastly, It is a great look into a possible future over the next 200 years for our planet. It looks deep into the technologies that may inhabit our lives in the near future. To close this up, Halo: Contact Harvest is an excelent read for anyone that is even remotly interested in Sci-Fi stories. As well, for any Halo fans out there, it is definently a good insight on the beginning of the Halo story. With my regards, i hope you have a good read. Bipi wrote a great review. I rented this game & played only an hour alone: Shooting Range – Good physics but VERY boring, the mini game shooting on Wario Ware is MUCH better & exciting with barrels, cans, rockets coming at you, etc & much faster. Find Mii – I actually like it, good way to improve your observation skills like a Brain Age game. Table Tennis – very small movements, it’s like Pong at first, then on steroids at 40+ points/rally. The computer never fails. If want to use the remote to swing, Rockstar Table Tennis is good. Pose Me – very boring, just wrist turning & button smashing. Another maybe Brain Age game, but still very boring. Laser Hockey – small movements are key, the “puck” is sluggish at first, then super sonic when bounces off the wall. Air Hockey on Game Play is much more realistic & you hold the remote parallel the the ground as well & move it exactly with same amount of arm movement & extending arm a lot to use force as real air hockey. SECRET: hit A&B together during countdown & the sluggish C turns into regular round controller like real air hockey & physics change for the better as well. When playing against comptuer there’s a 120 second time limit. Billiards – will not help you improve your game since the camera angles are not good, though the physics seem to be real. I hated it. Fishing – found it surprisingly fun for about 20 min, then got bored of it. Very cute because of the vibration & speaker use & physics. Charge/Cow racing – fun, great idea, but only one level & it’s timed. If it had more levels this would be the one of the best games. Tanks – strategy light & very addicting even played alone & has 100 levels. Those of you say graphics aren’t great on Wii, it’s fine! IT’s not like old days where everything looks blurry & not sure what you’re seeing. Everything on here is crisp & with great detailing on textures & perfect physics.

The game is truly not a “game” at all.. it’s like an electric version of an instruction manual for the remote control. It’s really not very fun for very long. It’s amusing for about 15 minutes, maybe 20, and then it’s just… not. I ended up selling the game and keeping the remote. It’s only really meant for beginners who can’t figure out how to use the remote, in my opinion. It IS helpful in learning more about the remote, I agree, but I ended up getting this game days after I first started playing Wii, so it was a bit pointless.

This game is kind of like Webkinz in a sense. The kids can pick which animal they want to build and can choose various rooms to go in for games or cooking, bathing, getting dressed, dancing, etc. However, there is a lot of reading that explains what the child needs to do. It’d be better if it just talked the instructions instead. As long as your child can read really well or an adult is with them to read teh instructions to them it’s a good game. I’m sure once they’ve played it many times, they figure out what to do and don’t need the directions.

Customer Review: Hockey game that kicks puck!
Very solid game with tremendous amount of value for money. Many different modes and extras. Season and Franchise gives the game an enormous amount of longevity and you can really work hard on getting your team to the top. On the negatives and after playing it regularly for some months, unlocking certain teams is a bit more challenging that needed. Also, some of the loading sequence gets a bit dull. Menus could have been a bit more animated. Practise challenges, Fighting and injury animation during the matches always ends the same way and some randomizing of graphics would make it a bit more enduring. I miss some of the gore from Sega’s Hockey game but maybe this is because I have not unlocked 60’s and 70’s teams (one of the reasons why I still am playing the game )

I thought this game would be rubbish as was sold with my console, WHAT A MISTAKE, The game is so much fun on 2 player mode or as a single player. Well worth a look a fab all round game

Customer Review: Good Game, could have been better, but they only had 10 years.
This is a really good deal for what you get, however, you should note, to play Team Fortress 2 and the new version of Half Life, you will need a XBOX Live gold membership.
Orange box includes the old Half Life games, I am not sure why you would want to rehash that, especially since most of us probably have the original versions. Old versions seem tired, and I wonder how it kept my attention years ago. If you are even a occasional gamer, you ought to have something better to play than old first person shooters.
Team Fortress 2 is excellent if you can find a decent server to play it on. When the system goes to search there doesn’t seem to be near the variety that pops up with some other multiplayer games like WarHawk.
I am also getting tired of multiplayer releases without single player gaming on the disc. These games initially do fairly well, if you can find a good server, but try and play it in a year or two, servers will be even harder to find. 10 years of development should have been enough to give this game a single player version.
The new Half Life version is okay, but you have a feeling that you have already played it. Again, surely there is something that hasn’t been rehashed out there that an occasional gamer could better spend his time playing, perhaps BIOSHOCK or HALO 3, STRANGLEHOLD.

Customer Review: Works perfectly, but don’t scratch too hard
I bought one of these cards while it was slightly on-sale, making it a bit cheaper than buying points directly through Microsoft.

It’s just a plain, plastic card with a portion that you scratch off to reveal a long key code that you enter into your XBL account.

A word of caution though. Don’t scratch it too hard because you can actually scratch off the key code lettering, which is what happened to me. Luckily, I was still able to figure out what my code was and the card didn’t go to waste.

With free shipping through my Amazon Prime account, this was easy enough and I saved a tiny bit of money.
