Sonic Heroes (PS2) Just as some actors never made the jump from the silent screen to talkies, so too Sonic the Hedgehog has never really seemed at home in 3-D. Sonic Heroes, though, is the best attempt yet to simulate the fast, uncomplicated thrills of the 2-D Mega Drive days on this generation’s shiny new consoles.

Sonic Heroes is basically the action segments from Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 stripped of all the insanely dull pseudo RPG elements but unfortunately still containing far too much storyline and the largest and least interesting host of secondary characters ever seen in gaming. Sonic Heroes also inherits many of the older titles’ camera and control problems, although here they are now occasional rather than constant irritations.

All this may seem as if it’s painting a rather poor picture of the game, but despite all its problems Sonic Heroes is actually a lot of fun. Its main gimmick is that you actually control three characters at a time, with each one having a special ability of either speed, flight or the ability to smash through blocks. Thankfully this doesn’t overcomplicate the controls and instead adds a modicum of depth to the otherwise non-stop running-’n'-jumping action.

You still occasionally get the feeling that the game is trying too hard to fit a round peg in a square hole, but on balance more of it works than doesn’t, and it’s certainly the best Sonic title since the Mega Drive era. –David Jenkins

Sonic Beginners please would you start here, the second the game loads you have 4 teams to choose from Team Sonic(Action Based) Team Dark(Action but harder based) Team Rose(BEGINNERS START HERE) Team Chaotix(Mission Based) Ok, i’m not dissing this sonic game(I used to be the biggest sonic fan ever) Not much now! but i still play his games of course.

The Music in this game is awsome ROCK! ROCK! ROCK!

The Graphics are Beutiful(Not the best though)

The Gameplay and the story let this game down by far, the story is incredibly crap, eggman(Sonic Villain) has built the ultimate weapon and is going to take down sonic and his friends(Boring) i mean that happend in Sonic the Hedgehog 1,2,3 and 4 and all the other 2D ones lol.

Can’t we get a better story nowadays in sonic like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, DX please Sonic Team!

The Gameplay is very confusing still fun though, but switching from character to character to do different moves is confusing and sometimes it picks the one you don’t want

The Controls are ok i guess, but overall the worst thing is the story, and the game is rather easy(Except Dark)

But overall this game is for Sonic Beginners, Sonic Experts will hate it, but after all these bad reviews, Experts i’m going to still recommend you, you might/might not like it.

Customer Review: Sonic Heroes
This game is ok. I like the character voice overs and the sound effects but it has dodgy graphics and crazy camera angles. When you put this together the game is a bit crap. Plus all of the storylines are weak and short and are a bit rushed. The game was a good idea but when it comes down to it, it is poor and gets boring way two quickly. There is also a very annoying opening soundtrack which is lame and takes the micky a bit. Overall the game is not one to go out and buy, if you got given it for free, by all means enjoy it, or try to!

I love this, I dont have it yet but I had a pony suprise when I was about six and i absolutly loved it the pony i had came with 2 little baby ponies, a white one and a purple one as much as i loved my pony i have to say these are alot cuter. If you want to make your little girl(or even little boy) very very happy than get them this little puppy they even have tan and black n white ones 4 boys if they want one. hope this helps.

she received 3 adorable puppies with it and was just thrilled. She plays with it a lot and was so excited to get it and see how many puppies came with it. Overall a very cute and cuddly stuffed animal with bonus adorable little puppies.

Customer Review: Kingdom ..under Fire?
I don’t understand why Kingdom Under Fire is receiving so much critisicm, okay so it’s not the best Action-RPG ever but Kingdom Under Fire is well worth buying on XBox 360, after playing Oblivion I realized there’s not many games with the same content, and I probably expected too much from this game as well as Lost Oddessy and Dark Messiah. For anyone looking to buy, I would reccomend this above Lost Oddessy – it is much more fun, but if you have not bought Oblivion, buy it! It is head & shoulders above this game. This game’s main problem is how easy it is to level up, there’s around 120 levels so that’s a lot but I got from level 1 to 3 within minutes..under 10. However, that’s not neccesarily a bad thing for first time PRG players. An excellent part of the game however is how you learn abilitie’s as you go..if you are good in combat that is You have to fight creatures fronm Lvl 1 to 4 to be trained. Overall, I liked this game, it is getting some harsh reviews, and is worth buying, but not before Oblivion.
Customer Review: Just awful
This is the worst game I have played in years. Where do I start? Graphics aren’t up to scratch, I thought we are now in next generation?? The gameplay is so repetitive and dull, constantly encountering the same boring hoardes of monsters and lizards that fall down and die with absolute ease… How do game manufacturers put out this kind of drivell and expect people to like it? Its actually embarrassing how bad it is, especially when you compare it to master pieces like Call of Duty 4 which demonstrates the standard the 360 can achieve. I played it for an hour after buying it and quite honestly will never put it back in the 360 again. I’m actually really annoyed I parted with ?40 of my hard earned money for this utter rubbish!!! Isn’t it about time game manufacturers realise the standard of games is extremely high now and we demand better? Take my word don’t waste your money.

Customer Review: The Price is WRONG
The Price is Wrong!! Having waited in anticipation for the new Wii title, “The Price is Right” by Ubisoft, I was throughly disappointed straight out of the box. For one: it can only be played with one controller; Wouldn’t the game have been much better if all 4 controllers were used and there wasn’t a need to pass the same controller around to other players?? If the game was true to the TV game all players should have the ability to bid for the items…not just the person with the controller. Two: The download time prior to and during the game is longer than any other wii games that I own. It has the feel and look of a PC game from 10 years ago. Maybe it would have been better then, but this is 2008 and the Wii is a new system…but the game play is slow and plodding. Three: The graphics and look is cheesy and amateurish. I’m not a game designer, but I could have developed and designed this game alot better than the people at Ubisoft. Had I known that the game played this way for the Wii, I would have saved fifteen dollars and purchased it for my PC. Steer clear…The Price is Wrong!!
Customer Review: Come On Down!! (to your nearest store and get this game!!)
I was so excited when I found out this game was coming to the wii and I finally got it last night! All the graphics in this game are great except for the audience… it’s very obvious that you see about 3 or 4 different people just placed over and over and over in the audience. The videos were a very nice touch, they’re just a little small. It would be much nicer if they had been bigger. The sound is very well done and sounds exactly as it does on the show, from the theme song, to the wheel turning, and even the plinko chip falling. The AI is also good in this game, how your bidding affects other people’s bidding in contestants row. It is nice how they included classic games, but I’m sure if they really wanted to, they could have included more games than the 16 that ended up on there. It also would have been nice if we would have had bob barker as the host, but we get no host at all! just the announcer who does pretty much everything. However, this doesn’t take away from the fun, this is alot of fun to play especially if you have a group of people! this is an awesome party game!!! you’ll have the entire room shouting out prices just like in the show. If you like the show, I highly recommend this game! And don’t forget to have you pet spayed or neutered!

Stranglehold (Xbox 360)
Companies are always going on about the synergy between movies and video games, but all this really ever seems to mean is lots of dreadful movie tie-ins where all the money has been spent on celebrity voiceovers. Stranglehold is different though, in that it’s essentially a sequel to 1992’s classic movie Hard Boiled, made purely for video games. This time Inspector “Tequila” Yuen is unleashing his unorthodox policing methods on Russian crime bosses in both Hong Kong and Chicago. It stars the likeness of original lead Chow Yun Fat and has been developed with hands-on help from director John Woo – who it turns out does seem to know a thing or two about video games.

Of course video games have been ripping off John Woo for years, particularly his trademark slow motion shots of two-handed pistol action. As a result this initially seems dangerously similar to Max Payne et al., but the graphical power of the next generation consoles and PC ensures that this is a far more dynamic and interactive affair. Not only can you make use of a bullet time effect (call “Tequila time” here) to slow down time around you but almost all of the scenery can be used too, from sliding down banisters guns firing to scooting across the room on top of a waiter’s trolley. The damage done as you go is truly impressive, with tiles shattering off the walls, chandeliers impaling bad guys as they fall and electric wires and water mains unhinging themselves everywhere. Making a mess has never been so much fun.

If you have played the demo then you dont need to get the game. then demo gives you all the best things from the full game. Perhaps ive been playing games too long, but max pain on the PC was doing this years ago and with much more depth and fun. core concept is good and the mechanics work fine, (does feel like they just ripped off the max pain engine) but besides some nice settings its like they didnt have a clue what to do to make into a game, shoot 4 things, plant 4 bombs by pressing a, protect these people for 30 mins while endless waves of bad guys come, badly placed spawn points after death require you to trek though the same area again and again, very old fasioned and really really dull. shooting people in the balls is fun though I will grant you. for a while at least.
Customer Review: Arguably too short but, amazing fun while it lasts.
Stranglehold is an all action shoot ‘em up which is great fun while it lasts. A lot of complaints have been made that it’s too short. I agree to a certain extent but because the game play is virtually the same throughout I don’t think it could have been stretched much further. The action is some of the most exciting ever seen on a games console and the way the scenery is destroyed adds to the immersion. Usually the damage to scenery in other shooters is minimal. In Stranglehold the damage is remarkable. Almost everything can be shot. During a gunfight, tables are knocked over, bottles smashed, concrete form pillars is smashed off and in one level even fish tanks can be shot spilling the contents all over the floor. At the end of a gunfight when you get your breath back and look at the room you are in the level of destruction is amazing. Because the action is so fast and exciting its one of the few games you can let your mate have a go on and not get bored watching someone else play it. Forty quid is definitely a lot to ask for a game that is this short, this easy and has very little replay value. However, now the price is half that it’s definitely worth a purchase. Fans of big budget action films will love this.

As this product is very cheap (not official Nintendo old DS charger), I was not expecting much from it. The plugin is moderately large and oddly shaped, which has brought me difficulties in some situations. Additionally the charger cord is very short, so if you plan on playing while it is charging you may have to sit a foot or two from an outlet. Overall, worth the money even though its lacking
