Open Season (GBA)
61SV859Q84L. SL75 FIFA Football 2003 Platinum Complete package 1 user PlayStation 2 GermanIn a nutshell:
Just like the movie, Boog the bear and Elliot the deer are just trying to get home, but there’s an endless wilderness and an army of hunters in their way.

The lowdown:
There’s not a movie worth its salt, particularly not a CGI kid’s movie that would dare walk the merchandising catwalk without a video game adaptation. The problem is most of them aren’t very good and despite some fun moments Open Season doesn’t really do much to stand out from the crowd. What’s annoying is that Boog actually has a number of interesting abilities, like throwing skunks as stun grenades and squirrels as nut firing gun turrets, but by the time you’ve unlocked them all it’s almost the end of the game. This means for most of the time you’re just carrying out dull fetch quests, which is fine for fans of the movie but won’t be for everyone else.

Most exciting moment:
The most enjoyable sections of the game all revolve around impromptu chase sequences, with mine cart races, mountaintop escapes and a white water rapids ride down a river on the remains of an outside toilet.

Since you ask:
Another highlight of the game is a number of fun unlockable mini-games, including such unlikely tasks as competitive flower picking and log rolling, which you can also play in four-player mode with friends.

The bottom line:
One for fans of the movie only.- HARRISON DENT

Customer Review: SKATE!
I’ve had it for nearly a year now (i think about 9 months to be precise) and I still love it. I think to really appreciate this game you have to be a skateboarder, because this game was literraly custom designed by skaters, for skaters. Just like real life it requires practise and technique, it is still playable by anyone, but to really appreciate it and enjoy it you have to understand how skateboarding works. Unlike tony hawk games where you can just magically ride up a kerb at full speed or pull off a 900 triple heelflip barrel roll to switch manual from an ollie off a 6ft ledge, you must master the flickit controlls. there are no button combinations to do tricks, to have to imagine your right stick as the movement of a skateboard, moving it in different ways at different times allows for thousands of trick combinations and to manual or grind you must simply position yourself right and land correctly, unlike tapping up down for a manual or ollieing 4 feet away from a rail, tapping the grind button and suddenly *DING* you teleported on to the rail! I respect Tony Hawks games for making the breakthroughs for the past 10 or so years, but its just started to get too unrealistic. SKATE brings back the realism. So if you are a skateboarder BUY THIS GAME, however if you just like to pretend or think that Tony Hawk’s is easier to play because you are too ’simple’ to figure out the flickit tricks, then A) you are not a skateboarder B) you have no idea how skateboarding works and C) enjoy pulling off gaps and combos that are completely ridiculous, such as being able to ollie over a car without a ramp or clear 40ft with just 20ft of run up…..and so on…….
Customer Review: Excellent Game!
A real challenge of a game but that’s what makes it so fun. With dozens of tricks and excellent gameplay, it makes it one of the greatest games i have ever played on. Also you can customise your charecter hundreds of different ways. Overall 10/10!!!

11uVl8FU8WL ShellShock: Nam 67 (PS2) [PlayStation2] Playseats Evolution Gaming Seat (Black with Silver) With its completely renewed design and double-stitched vinyl cover, the black Playseats Evolution gaming seat puts you smack dab in the middle of your favorite racing game. The seat works with almost all racing peripherals on the market and every game console, including the Xbox 360, GameCube, PlayStation2, PCs, and more. More importantly, the chair is notably comfortable while delivering the most realistic racing simulation around.

Details include a reinforced steel tubular construction that adds stability and eliminates excess wobble, a non-flammable seat material, and an easy-to-assemble design. Just install a game steering wheel, such as the latest Logitech model, on the middle pole and attach a couple of pedals along the bottom (all sold separately). The setup is also easily adaptable, with multiple adjustment knobs letting you move the wheel and pedals closer or farther, depending on your height. Appropriate for ages 8 and older, the Evolution seat is the perfect accessory for gamers who want to boost their lap times in style.

Customer Review: Girls like it too!
I am a 40 year old female who still loves video games, but more specifically…I love racing games, Gran Turismo being my all time favorite.
I use the Logitech Force Feedback steering wheel but had previously used it mounted to a small table while sitting in a dining room chair. That set up actually caused allot of discomfort and fatigue when I wanted to play longer. My braking foot needed to hover in a very uncomfortable position and my husband rarely played with me for that reason. Your legs just ached. Try as I may it was very difficult to mount/place everything at just the right distance and angle for any long term fun.
When the Evolution Seat went on sale for $239 thru Amazon with free shipping I couldn’t resist.
Quality and comfort are both excellent and of course it makes racing even more “simulator like” than before.
The bottom of the chair (it’s metal frame) is smooth and slides easily and damage free across my living room carpet, which is fairly important as it’s a little too heavy to lift and move single handed. If you needed to store it you do have the option of folding the seats back down after removing the pins. You can also remove the steering and foot mounts from the center crossbar to shorten. Luckily I have just the spot for it as I do not think I would care to make such an effort.
Next is comfort…no complaints here! You can adjust the foot pedals and the steering wheel to just the right distance meaning no more foot fatigue or discomfort in my arms from overly bent elbows. The chair itself is extremely comfortable and I am 6′ tall and actually eat. :)
I can easily sit for 2 hours and never feel the least bit uncomfortable. The seats comfort is equal to that of my Honda and exceeds that of my Ford.
If you really enjoy using a wheel with racing games then this is certain to enhance your enjoyment and realism. If you rarely play racing games with much enthusiasm then this will probably end up collecting dust and taking up valuable floor space, which leads me to measurements.
From the seats floor frame to the end of the pedal mounting plate is roughly 50″ (this is adjustable for your height). The chairs height from floor to top (headrest) is 40″ (this is stationary though the seated can fold forward). The top of the seats cushion is approximately 12″ off of the ground, which places this at an ideal seating height to view my LCD TV which is placed on a TV stand. At it’s widest point it is about 20″.
For a little more fun I added the Buttkicker gamer to the chair. In order to mount it I made a metal X frame from 2″ wide, 1/8″ thick flat steel which I sandwich and bolted in between the seat and it’s floor frame. In the center of that X frame I welded a 3/4″ OD steel pipe with a threaded end. I of course used the pipe for the Buttkicker’s mount. I also installed a metal cap to the threaded end of the pipe to keep the Buttkicker from vibrating down and off of the pipe. This is a convenient way to mount the Buttkicker and it distributes the vibrations well WITHOUT any changes or alterations to the chair or Buttkicker themselves. Now there is force feedback in both the steering wheel and the chair itself.
You get the idea I kinda like this stuff ah? :)
Customer Review: XBox 360 wheel needs an adapter
If you plan on using this chair with the Xbox 360 Racing Wheel, in my experience the adapter plate is required. This plate is not included with the standard Playseat, so if you want to setup and play make sure to order both at the same time. Velcro and other home brew solutions did not keep the wheel steady enough for my taste. Also, it is worth noting that the adpater plate is bolted on to the platform, so quick changing from the XBox 360 wheel to another wheel (like the Logitech G25) is not possible without some tools and patience.

Another consideration users should make before purchasing is storage. The chair is large, so when it’s not in use you’ll have to put it somewhere. My gaming room includes a pinball machine, and when you collapse the back of the chair and slide the adjustable sections to their smallest possible position, the chair neatly slides under the pinball, making for a perfect storage solution.

Customer Review: A taste of the other side
This title offers a solid preview of the other side of XBOX 360: the Live Arcade. It is evidently aimed at those who aren’t part of the XBOX Live Arcade (XBLA) online community, and provides those gamers with a taster for the kind of title offered. The pick of the bunch has to be Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. Loosely based on the gameplay of classic Robotron: 2084 (incidentally also available on XBLA), it is a fast, engrossing and sharp game that has a real appeal to the serious gamer. Elsewhere, Texas Hold ‘Em and Hardwood Backgammon are as expected, but are reasonable nontheless; Wik: Fable of Souls is an odd one with a limited lifespan; Outpost Kaloki challenges you to build an intergalactic business in a unique way; and Bewjeweled 2 offers a similar style to Hexic (which you should all be familiar with if you’ve acquanted yourself with the Dashboard). Three demos are thrown in for even more tasters. It has to be said that almost a year on from its original release, the games featured certainly aren’t the pick of the bunch, and only Geometry Wars and Texas Hold ‘Em have stood the test of time with the online community. However, with a months free trial subscription to XBOX Live Gold (worth ?4.99), and the games valued at around ?30 if bought over the Marketplace (an online shopping site exclusive to the Dashboard), it does represent value for money. Certainly, at the moment you can buy this for as little as ?10 new, which is grand, although it is worth noting that the redeemable codes for the trial subscription will run out by the end of June 2007, so make sure you have yours by then. So, if you’re wondering what it’s like on the XBLA, then look no further then this. Just don’t be put off by the quality of games. Even though they are reasonable, the six game spectrum no longer represents what is on offer. This could be resolved by Microsoft with the anticipated Unplugged: Volume 2, which is hopefully just around the corner. With a range of new and retro titles including Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, Boom Boom Rocket, Alien Hominid, Worms, Pac-Man, Centipede/Millipede, Double Dragon and Lumines Live available online now (to name but a few), to really know what there is to offer you will have to just take that leap of faith. For those who don’t wish to, Microsoft needs to put out a second installment as soon as possible before this game strays too far away from its original objective: to advertise the cream of the titles on offer on XBLA.
Customer Review: Good value if you dont have the games.
It has 6 Xbox Live Arcade games plus 3 trails on disc, plus a one month XBL Gold card (which can be used to add an extra month to an existing sub) Anyway, you put the disc in your 360 like normal, but it doesnt auto load like a normal 360 game. Instead, you have to nip over to the arcade section, where it adds them to your list but with a DVD icon next to there names. When you select one it loads just like normal, with no changes from the download version. If you select play game on the main screen it just dumps you into the arcade area. Oh and yes, it doubles them up – so i have two versions of Geometry Wars listed, one with a disc icon one without, lol. When you take the disc out, they arent listed any more, but they are still llisted under games/achievements etc Loading times are petty much non-existent, apart from a brief load at the start (before the game your playings title). It saves your game fine, but for some reason it doesnt show up in the Memory section of the dash. Me thinks MS need to fix that (like they did with the Xbox content download not showing glitch) My verdict? Worth it if you have none of the games, or say max 2 and you want the others. Heck MS should give it away with new 360s, imo.

I got this product on a Tuesday, and it broke on a Tuesday (SAME DAY) i was not a happy bunny, now i have to go and spend more money to buy the official Headset, witch i really and truly should have done in the first place. but i guess you live and you learn! These are great. The big ear phones are nice and loud and the microphone is really bendy. Definitely worth replacing the Xbox 360 headset. Plus they’re cheap!

11T8Db0YT1L Konami Krazy Racers (GBA) Wired Controller for PS3 – 2 Pack

61JSQGQCBEL. SL160 Konami Krazy Racers (GBA)
Konami Krazy Racers (GBA)
After taking one look at the screenshots for Konami Krazy Racers you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s just a rather pointless Mario Kart clone, with less familiar characters. Rebelling against all the known laws of plagiarism, though, it’s actually really good.

For those few poor souls that aren’t familiar with the Mario Kart style of racer, it’s all pretty simple. You get to race around a series of unlikely looking courses (a beach, a lava pit, a magical road suspended in outer space–you know, the usual) driving little go-karts that spew James-Bond-style weaponry whenever you run over a power-up.

As well as the basic Grand Prix mode there’s also Time Trial and Quick Race, as well as two battle modes. Best of all, each of these different modes can be played with up to four other players, assuming they’ve all got a copy of the game and some game link cables.

You’d be hard-pressed to find a single person that has actually played Mario Kart and not enjoyed it. Considering Konami Krazy Racers looks and plays almost exactly the same, there’s just as much fun to be had here. –David Jenkins

Customer Review: Cool, but repetitive after a while…
Great game overall, good graphics, even a little storyline to keep you happy! However after you have expired over unlocking all the tracks, there isn’t much left to do! The mini games are ok but not worth bothering with. This is a good game unless you are a real hardcore gamer!

Customer Review: brilliant,fantastic,excellent!!!
excellent graphics. you really feel as if your going fast unlike mario cart supercircuit.the tracks are all completely different and really fun to play on. this is a great game and i reccomend it.

Customer Review: The Price is WRONG
The Price is Wrong!! Having waited in anticipation for the new Wii title, “The Price is Right” by Ubisoft, I was throughly disappointed straight out of the box. For one: it can only be played with one controller; Wouldn’t the game have been much better if all 4 controllers were used and there wasn’t a need to pass the same controller around to other players?? If the game was true to the TV game all players should have the ability to bid for the items…not just the person with the controller. Two: The download time prior to and during the game is longer than any other wii games that I own. It has the feel and look of a PC game from 10 years ago. Maybe it would have been better then, but this is 2008 and the Wii is a new system…but the game play is slow and plodding. Three: The graphics and look is cheesy and amateurish. I’m not a game designer, but I could have developed and designed this game alot better than the people at Ubisoft. Had I known that the game played this way for the Wii, I would have saved fifteen dollars and purchased it for my PC. Steer clear…The Price is Wrong!!
Customer Review: Come On Down!! (to your nearest store and get this game!!)
I was so excited when I found out this game was coming to the wii and I finally got it last night! All the graphics in this game are great except for the audience… it’s very obvious that you see about 3 or 4 different people just placed over and over and over in the audience. The videos were a very nice touch, they’re just a little small. It would be much nicer if they had been bigger. The sound is very well done and sounds exactly as it does on the show, from the theme song, to the wheel turning, and even the plinko chip falling. The AI is also good in this game, how your bidding affects other people’s bidding in contestants row. It is nice how they included classic games, but I’m sure if they really wanted to, they could have included more games than the 16 that ended up on there. It also would have been nice if we would have had bob barker as the host, but we get no host at all! just the announcer who does pretty much everything. However, this doesn’t take away from the fun, this is alot of fun to play especially if you have a group of people! this is an awesome party game!!! you’ll have the entire room shouting out prices just like in the show. If you like the show, I highly recommend this game! And don’t forget to have you pet spayed or neutered! ;-)

Stranglehold (Xbox 360)
51kJFHFxIdL. SL160 USB Charger Cable for Gameboy Advance SPCompanies are always going on about the synergy between movies and video games, but all this really ever seems to mean is lots of dreadful movie tie-ins where all the money has been spent on celebrity voiceovers. Stranglehold is different though, in that it’s essentially a sequel to 1992’s classic movie Hard Boiled, made purely for video games. This time Inspector “Tequila” Yuen is unleashing his unorthodox policing methods on Russian crime bosses in both Hong Kong and Chicago. It stars the likeness of original lead Chow Yun Fat and has been developed with hands-on help from director John Woo – who it turns out does seem to know a thing or two about video games.

Of course video games have been ripping off John Woo for years, particularly his trademark slow motion shots of two-handed pistol action. As a result this initially seems dangerously similar to Max Payne et al., but the graphical power of the next generation consoles and PC ensures that this is a far more dynamic and interactive affair. Not only can you make use of a bullet time effect (call “Tequila time” here) to slow down time around you but almost all of the scenery can be used too, from sliding down banisters guns firing to scooting across the room on top of a waiter’s trolley. The damage done as you go is truly impressive, with tiles shattering off the walls, chandeliers impaling bad guys as they fall and electric wires and water mains unhinging themselves everywhere. Making a mess has never been so much fun.

Customer Review: Tiresome
If you have played the demo then you dont need to get the game. then demo gives you all the best things from the full game. Perhaps ive been playing games too long, but max pain on the PC was doing this years ago and with much more depth and fun. core concept is good and the mechanics work fine, (does feel like they just ripped off the max pain engine) but besides some nice settings its like they didnt have a clue what to do to make into a game, shoot 4 things, plant 4 bombs by pressing a, protect these people for 30 mins while endless waves of bad guys come, badly placed spawn points after death require you to trek though the same area again and again, very old fasioned and really really dull. shooting people in the balls is fun though I will grant you. for a while at least.
Customer Review: Arguably too short but, amazing fun while it lasts.
Stranglehold is an all action shoot ‘em up which is great fun while it lasts. A lot of complaints have been made that it’s too short. I agree to a certain extent but because the game play is virtually the same throughout I don’t think it could have been stretched much further. The action is some of the most exciting ever seen on a games console and the way the scenery is destroyed adds to the immersion. Usually the damage to scenery in other shooters is minimal. In Stranglehold the damage is remarkable. Almost everything can be shot. During a gunfight, tables are knocked over, bottles smashed, concrete form pillars is smashed off and in one level even fish tanks can be shot spilling the contents all over the floor. At the end of a gunfight when you get your breath back and look at the room you are in the level of destruction is amazing. Because the action is so fast and exciting its one of the few games you can let your mate have a go on and not get bored watching someone else play it. Forty quid is definitely a lot to ask for a game that is this short, this easy and has very little replay value. However, now the price is half that it’s definitely worth a purchase. Fans of big budget action films will love this.

Customer Review: Mediocre (Cheap) Charger
As this product is very cheap (not official Nintendo old DS charger), I was not expecting much from it. The plugin is moderately large and oddly shaped, which has brought me difficulties in some situations. Additionally the charger cord is very short, so if you plan on playing while it is charging you may have to sit a foot or two from an outlet. Overall, worth the money even though its lacking

Need for Speed: ProStreet (PS2)

October 22nd, 2008

In a nutshell:
The Xbox 360 gets its own version of EyeToy with this multi-use webcam and motion sensing controller that is a must-have piece of next gen hardware.

The lowdown:
Capturing at a resolution of 640×480 and at 30 frames per-second, the Live Vision Camera has far more practical uses than the EyeToy ever did, with the ability to use it for free live video chat and picture messaging. It’s extremely easy to use and even lets you customise your own gamertag picture. The camera will also work on a PC too. Installation is very very easy–simply plug it in and the Xbox 360 recognises it straightaway.

It comes with a free download of card game UNO and the Super Monkey Ball style Totemball. Other games that support the Live Vision Camera include Bankshot Billiards, Texas Hold’em, Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades and Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six: Vegas which allows you to digitise your face into the game. The Live Vision Camera has every chance of becoming as essential to next gen gaming as it is to next gen online chat.

Most exciting moment:
Although it is only a card game, UNO instantly illustrates just how much the Vision camera can transform a game. Each player gets their own little video feed on-screen, so you can chat to and see whoever you’re playing with and communicate with them in real-time. Dressing up can also push up the fun factor somewhat. Just make sure it’s appropriate!

Since you ask:
Developer Strange Flavour, creators of Totemball are planning another two Xbox Live Vision games for the future. It’s not clear though whether they’ll be downloadable Xbox Live Arcade games or proper retail titles.

The bottom line:
This is EyeToy done right and already a must-have for Xbox Live.-HARRISON DENT

Customer Review: Xbox Live Vision Review
A good idea with some great potential but for the time being that’s all it is. I think it’s great that the camera can be used as a normal webcam, being a USB, you can just plug it into your PC. The camera is reasonably clear, however you can take a higher advantages of the effects on the 360. After taking a photo, to set as your personal gamerpicture, or to send to a friend, you can add various effects, including the common settings like black and white, sepia, negative, as well as special lens effects that expand, inflate, or reflect the picture, as well as many more. When i purchased this item, it comes with a one month free gold membership on xbox live, an extra headset for online chatting (worth about ?14.99 at the time), and a code to download UNO full xbox live arcade game. Great if you have friends over with the headset, so you can all talk to different people, and UNO isn’t a bad way to boost your gamerscore. Similar to the Sony Eyetoy, on playstation 2, you can use it to control characters. However there is few games this is compatible with. TotemBall, (a free arcade game that requires the camera) is not the greatest of games, but, for the younger generation it can be fun. Basically you control a ball rolling around a level, by moving your arms up and down in fountains to control the speed and direction. Doesn’t sound great, because basically it isn’t, specially when you already have perfectly good games to play on. You can also have video conversations and calls with other xbox live members but they must have a gold membership to view and send their own (if they have the cam), or they can just watch, (with gold). Another great feature that the visioncam can be used for is ‘Gameface’ technology. Despite only being in one game, this shows great potential for personalising characters. The only game supporting this so far is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas. I don’t own this game but I would say – aswell as many other people – that it’s possible one of the greatest shooters on xbox 360 so far. In multiplayer you create your own characeter, when the camera is connected, you set up to take a photo, line up your face in good lighting in the box shown on screen, then take a photo, repeat it again from the side. After quite a long wait, that, providing it works, is worth it, a photo appears on your soldier that doesn’t look identical, but looks quite good. Unfortunately, I don’t think you can arm your character with various headgear, like scars, balaclavas and goggles but you unlock an achievement worth 20 or 30 gamerpoints which is a highish benefit if you have a low score like me :) Despite a high asking price, with all the extras and potential included it is worth buying. However it’s also worth waiting for to hope the price lowers and more games include the gameface technology. Hope this review was helpful to anyone considering buying this item.

Im a big fan of NFS i loved carbon and most wanted BUT THIS! prostreet is horrible the cars handleings gone all lumpy and THERES NO FREE ROAM or POLICE PURSUITS has ea been taken over or something! But there are good things like The grafics and the fact that the new bmw m3 and nissan GTR are in it! BUT BUY NEED FOR SPEED CARBON OTHER THAN THIS if yourve played carbon and most wanted you will HATE prostreet

Customer Review: Bring back the old NFS
Arguably the second worst NFS game after Underground. EA Bring back the street racing, police chases and FREE ROME. I would normally test a car in single player random race to see if its worth buying- you cannot do this so i wasted about 400k on the Lambo only to find out that it is rubbish!

I only found this game good for the first hour or so then i got frustrated with waited for it to load/save! the actual driving experience is average but you should be able to use a 4 wheel drive in drifting as the evo x is AMAZING at drifting in grip mode.

Get you’re act together EA and don’t call the next game Pro-street 2 unless you can actually DRIVE on the street!

To put it simply, this is an awesome bit of kit. Of course, like all such peripherals of this nature, it is not an essential piece. However, that said, it does make typing so much easier. Okay, so you can use a USB keyboard instead; but seriously, who is going to drag out a keyboard and have it sat at their sides – wire trailing all over the floor – when you can have this little beauty right at your finger tips ;) If you spend a lot of time typing messages, like me, I can only recommend this…

21Wi82AIgtL Assassins Creed Game Cases (6 Singles) Customer Review: worthy investment
cartridges can erode with time,i urge you to buy a pack of these to preserve your cartridges, they come in a pack of 6 and in a range of different colours.they will also accept ds cartridges in the middle but id recomend you just use the case your ds games come in.they only accept either 1 ds game or 1 gba game not both, they have a feature where they click together but its realy crappy and they break away too easily, but the most impressive part of these cartridges is all the colours even the dark ones you can clearly see what game is inside.i realy recomend these cartridges they are a worthy investment, just think how much your gba games cost and how much these cases which will protect them from dirt and dust cost.
Customer Review: Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated?
Whilst I cannot deny that these cases are invaluable for keeping cartridges clean, I do feel rather cheated as the original Gameboy games came with their own cases FOR FREE!

Reasonable design, selection of colours and useful for keeping dust off cartridges – just shame they weren’t free.

Assassin’s Creed
Assassin’s Creed is the next-gen game developed by Ubisoft Montreal that will redefine the action genre. While other games claim to be next-gen with impressive graphics and physics, Assassin’s Creed merges technology, game design, theme, and emotions into a world where you instigate chaos and become a vulnerable, yet powerful, agent of change.

The setting is 1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You, Altair, intend to stop the hostilities by suppressing both sides of the conflict.

You are an Assassin, a warrior shrouded in secrecy and feared for your ruthlessness. Your actions can throw your immediate environment into chaos, and your existence will shape events during this pivotal moment in history.

Key Features

  • Be an Assassin: Master the skills, tactics, and weapons of history’s deadliest and most secretive clan of warriors. Plan your attacks, strike without mercy, and fight your way to escape.
  • Realistic and responsive environments: Crowds react to your moves and will either help or hinder you on your quests.
  • Action with a new dimension – total freedom: Eliminate your targets wherever, whenever, and however. Stalk your prey through richly detailed, historically accurate, open-ended environments. Scale buildings, mount horses, blend in with crowds. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objectives.
  • Relive the epic times of the Crusades: Assassin’s Creed immerses you in the realistic and historical Holy Land of the 12th century, featuring life-like graphics, ambience, and the subtle, yet detailed nuances of a living world.
  • Intense action rooted in reality: Experience heavy action blended with fluid and precise animations. Use a wide range of medieval weapons, and face your enemies in realistic swordfight duels.
  • Next-gen gameplay: The proprietary engine developed from the ground up for the next-gen console allows organic game design featuring open gameplay, intuitive control scheme, realistic interaction with environment, and a fluid, yet sharp, combat mechanic.

Customer Review: great graphics and good game
have a very nice graphics tough only at 720p, good sound quality and diverse sound effects but it’s a little bit boring sometimes i could say a lot more but I dont have the time to do it

Customer Review: Something different!
I like this game. Its different. It gets harder and you are free, you can do whatever you want. I love that about this game. the graphics are breath taking. I recomend this game to people who like doing their own thing when they play every once in a while.

Customer Review: Excellent, but a few annoyances…
I bought a PS3 console purely for this game (although I now have other games). The graphics are good (but GT5 and GRID shows it could have been better) Career mode over 5 seasons is excellent, trying to win the championship by the end. The car Evolution is good so long as you can drive consistent laps and the SIXAXIS control is surprisingly good. The annoyances though… In practice or time trial you are driving with the sun low in the sky making it it VERY hard to see where you are going, it would have been nice to select time of day! Once you enter an GP weekend in career mode you cannot save your progress until you complete the weekend, which could mean 6 hours driving! The interactive pitstops are rubbish, having to push buttons as they appear on the screen to get a good time, what has this to do with real F1? Why not just base it on how accurately you can drive into the pit box, like the real thing. And James Allan’s commentary is very limited and repetitive, and refers to me as “You”, on a PS3 it should be able to call me by my name (see GRID for this) and have a lot more variety in the comments. Finally there is no telemetry, so although you can adjust EVERYTHING on the car, you cannot analyse the effect, all you can do is drive and see if you are quicker or if it feels better, which is not good enough (or my driving, and indeed real F1 drivers, isn’t good enough). See the PC Geoff Crammond F1GP games for how his should be Sony! However, having said all of this, it is still the best F1 game I have ever played. Well worth getting, but I am looking forward to the next PS3 F1 game, as Codemasters (GRID is by them, download the demo and see how good it is!) now have the licence, not Sony, so it will not be until 2009 but should be good.
Customer Review: Real F1
The truth is that this game is ultra realistic. it is as close to realism as you are gonna get.its an amazing game and very addictive. its not fun its bloody hard work trying to keep up with other cars in a super aguri on hard!!!

Customer Review: quick n easy but fun
I dont often complete games- usualy i get bored and move on to the next one when im half way through. I managed to finish this game in a little over 6 hours- it was that easy. i wont argue that the gameplay itself wasnt fun, it just felt like you were rushed through the game without having much of a chance to just explore. You also level up so quickly that by the time you’re half way through the battles are so easy that u never need to use potions to restore health- just wait til you level again.
on the plus side- and this is a big plus, i was addicted for the whole 6 hours i played (spread over 2 days), the plot stays pretty much to the book and the graphics are great.

Customer Review: Very disappointing
As a pretty average game boy player I was amazed at how easy this game was to complete. Also I felt it was very dull as the challenges are all very similar i.e. look for five items, or walk into a monster and take turns to hit each other. I would not recommend this game unless you want the satisfaction of completing it, believe me, it won’t take you very long.

31WXQD7JKAL 2.1 Speaker Kit for (PC/PS2/Xbox/GameCube) Sonic Heroes (PS2) Just as some actors never made the jump from the silent screen to talkies, so too Sonic the Hedgehog has never really seemed at home in 3-D. Sonic Heroes, though, is the best attempt yet to simulate the fast, uncomplicated thrills of the 2-D Mega Drive days on this generation’s shiny new consoles.

Sonic Heroes is basically the action segments from Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 stripped of all the insanely dull pseudo RPG elements but unfortunately still containing far too much storyline and the largest and least interesting host of secondary characters ever seen in gaming. Sonic Heroes also inherits many of the older titles’ camera and control problems, although here they are now occasional rather than constant irritations.

All this may seem as if it’s painting a rather poor picture of the game, but despite all its problems Sonic Heroes is actually a lot of fun. Its main gimmick is that you actually control three characters at a time, with each one having a special ability of either speed, flight or the ability to smash through blocks. Thankfully this doesn’t overcomplicate the controls and instead adds a modicum of depth to the otherwise non-stop running-’n'-jumping action.

You still occasionally get the feeling that the game is trying too hard to fit a round peg in a square hole, but on balance more of it works than doesn’t, and it’s certainly the best Sonic title since the Mega Drive era. –David Jenkins

Sonic Beginners please would you start here, the second the game loads you have 4 teams to choose from Team Sonic(Action Based) Team Dark(Action but harder based) Team Rose(BEGINNERS START HERE) Team Chaotix(Mission Based) Ok, i’m not dissing this sonic game(I used to be the biggest sonic fan ever) Not much now! but i still play his games of course.

The Music in this game is awsome ROCK! ROCK! ROCK!

The Graphics are Beutiful(Not the best though)

The Gameplay and the story let this game down by far, the story is incredibly crap, eggman(Sonic Villain) has built the ultimate weapon and is going to take down sonic and his friends(Boring) i mean that happend in Sonic the Hedgehog 1,2,3 and 4 and all the other 2D ones lol.

Can’t we get a better story nowadays in sonic like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Shadow the Hedgehog, DX please Sonic Team!

The Gameplay is very confusing still fun though, but switching from character to character to do different moves is confusing and sometimes it picks the one you don’t want

The Controls are ok i guess, but overall the worst thing is the story, and the game is rather easy(Except Dark)

But overall this game is for Sonic Beginners, Sonic Experts will hate it, but after all these bad reviews, Experts i’m going to still recommend you, you might/might not like it.

Sonic Beginners Must BUY! Experts you decide!
Customer Review: Sonic Heroes
This game is ok. I like the character voice overs and the sound effects but it has dodgy graphics and crazy camera angles. When you put this together the game is a bit crap. Plus all of the storylines are weak and short and are a bit rushed. The game was a good idea but when it comes down to it, it is poor and gets boring way two quickly. There is also a very annoying opening soundtrack which is lame and takes the micky a bit. Overall the game is not one to go out and buy, if you got given it for free, by all means enjoy it, or try to!

213HYE1VXCL. SL160 Bomberman Kart Complete package 1 user PlayStation 2 GermanThe Game Boy Advance features power that would have been unthinkable back when the original Game Boy was launched. Its 32-bit RISC CPU runs circles around the former machine’s 8-bit workhorse, allowing it to process program instructions much faster. What that means to everyday gamers is more intricate visuals, more simultaneous movement on the screen, and better sound. In fact, the often-annoying bleeps and bloops of old-school Game Boy titles are being replaced with digitised stereo sound. When you first pick up the system, you’ll notice how lightweight it is. It’s a little less than 150 grams, but a little larger than a deck of playing cards. The GBA’s wider shape fits better into a wider range of hands, and the screen is fitted with antiglare technology–you need pretty good light to play by, but you won’t be craning your neck and tilting the unit to see around the reflection of the light bulb in your screen.

You’ll also notice the graphics. Essentially sporting redesigned SNES technology, you’ll see things on the GBA that the big consoles do, such as scaling (making objects larger or smaller) and rotation effects–technological advances that will affect the look of everything from crossing a finish line to scoring a goal to crawling through a dungeon. The extra processing muscle also means you can network up to four Game Boy Advance units together, via the communication cable, for multiplayer fun from one shared cartridge. Because the Game Boy Advance system is backward-compatible, it will play not only its own line of colourful games–including such launch titles as Super Mario Advance, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, and Kuru Kuru Kurin–but also almost all of the monochrome and colour games that have already been released for the previous Game Boy systems. It seems that Nintendo have wisely struck a balance between size, price, and power consumption. And considering how well the old 8-bit system weathered the decade’s technological storms, the Game Boy Advance seems here to stay. –Porter B Hall

Customer Review: Decent enough…
The GBA maybe showing its age against the DS and PSP but it’s still a decent portable gaming system and there’s nearly always something for everyone here. The handheld has a large list of games plus it can play older Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles giving you access to a massive library of games to choose from. If you have the right cables you can link up with other GBA’s to play multiplayer games and even link up with the Gamecube on certain games. The only major problem with the system is the lack of a back light display which means that if you play the GBA in a poorly lit place you won’t see very much. There are ways around this (worm light, afterburner…) but you are worried about this I recommend getting the GBA SP or a DS instead. If you are looking for a cheap portable gaming system, you won’t go far wrong with the GBA. Get some decent rechargeable batteries and bus/train journeys will never be the same again.
Customer Review: Good system for the kids
This is an OK first game system for the kids. it will keep them amused for some time, although, if you are used to the screen lighting up, this is not for you. but once you get used to that, you can enjoy the console, plus the ability to link to other users can take you to another level, so long as you have the same game !!!!

612MV2Z7GSL. SL160 Bomberman Kart Complete package 1 user PlayStation 2 GermanRayman Advance is perhaps the first real must-play Game Boy Advance game available. It’s a full conversion of the PlayStation classic brought to life in vivid detail with level-by-level optimisations, gorgeous graphics, large, detailed and well-animated characters and that patented Rayman gameplay that Ubi Soft has been delivering for years now.

Those unfamiliar with the character and story should expect yet another cute take on the 2-D side-scrolling adventure game but Rayman easily stands alongside Mario in terms of brilliance. Rayman, a cute, big-nosed guy with a pompadour fringe and an infectiously upbeat attitude, is the Guardian of the World. Oddly, he has hands and feet but no arms or legs to support them–but that doesn’t stop him from doing his thing. His powers include jumping, clinging to ledges, using his ears as a helicopter, and most importantly, punching. A helpful fairy doles out these powers to you as you complete tasks and progress in the game. Rayman’s task, as usual, is to defeat enemies and free creatures (called Toons) caught in great iron boxes. He also collects “tings”, which he can use to barter with magicians as he rids his bizarre little world of oppression from the likes of colourful bosses Moskito and big bad Space Mama.

The most striking thing about Rayman Advance is its graphics and gameplay. The design is extremely creative, there are things to bounce on, ride and grab and other tricks to do. It’s the sort of game that always has you doing something new, which is no mean feat considering it spans 60 levels. A first rate 2-D platform game for all ages. –Andrew S Bub

Customer Review: A classic conversion of the PS1 game.
Try telling people that Rayman Adavcne is an almost perfect conversion of the original playstaion platformer, and theyll shake theyre heads in disbelief. But it’s true! One one tiny cart lives a game that can trade punches with it’s home console counterpart, and still come out on top. The smaller screen may hinder the game in some respects, but what you’re looking at is a retina feast. And while it may all seem incredibly sweet on the surface, the playing expierience is anything but, offering a masterclass in side-scrolling platform gaming. The story, which propels Rayman through sixty levels and six worlds, in unchanged. Mr Dark, a masked villain, has invaded Raymans world and kidnapped the Toons. From here follows a journey across perilous terrain to mind the missing toons and rid the world of Mr Dark and his merry band of malcontants. And only Rayman is up for the job! Despite the games visual style and originality, the process of beating the game is very traditional, with power-ups, collectibles, and regular boss fights. Dont let this put yoou off because, when it’s done as well as Rayman Advance, it’s an absolute pleasure to play. At the beginning of the game Rayman has very few powers – bar jumping and doing farts – and you’ll probably feel restricted by his lack of moves. But before long new abilities are added to his repertoire, including a powerful punch move and the skills to climb, swing, grapple and hover. Using the moves turns out to be top fun, due to the tight controls and excellent character animations. And from the first experiments with the super-flexible punch move, you know you’ve got a very special game in the palm of your hand. In the long term Rayman’s slow start helps, because at the start you’ll wander around seeing many things you can’t reach and you realize when you have the right move, you can come back and get there. All in all a very long and fun rewarding quest.
Customer Review: Absolutely fabulous!!
I’d never played Rayman before so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. As far as I’m concerned, this is one awesome game. I have quite a few GBA games now but this is one that I keep returning to. There’s so much in here to keep you interested and the attention to detail is amazing – just when you think you’ve got the game sussed, there’s always something new popping up! Great graphics, slightly dodgy soundtrack, first-class gameplay. Rayman rules! No arguments!

Customer Review: ok but misleading image of product
Apparently this console is just an upgrade of game boy color console and it isn’t built with lcd light screen until the sp came out. But GBC is more comfortable to hold than the gba. It’s quite deceiving because the image they published on the boxes on both console (gbc and gba)shows that they have a bright light screen, but until u purchased it or read the description – however images always has a great influence in whether u want to buy the product and then you find out it it not what you expected, which is misleading. Though it is a good console.
Customer Review: Shame on you Nintendo! Shame!! Shame!!!
I am a Nintendo fan boy. I’ve tried to get help but it just gets worse.
But even I freely confess that Nintendo pulled a dirty trick with the original GBA.
The games were fantastic, Advance Wars was reason enough to own a GBA all by itself. But how were you supposed to play it when you couldn’t see a thing? The screen was dark and incredibly reflective. In most lighting conditions the graphics were completely invisible.
I tried various ‘light accessories’ but they were all junk (even those recommended by offical magazines). But that’s not the end of my GBA woes, the D pad was blister-enducingly tiny and the other buttons were pretty nasty clacky affairs.
The GBA was a broken product that should never have been commercially released. The only reason to own one is if you are a Nintendo crazed completist collector.
Bah Nintendo, Bah!!!!
