Customer Review: Cool
This is easy to use, light to carry and the fully charged battery lasts for around 16 hours when set on low screen brightness. The two screens are really handy as it saves flipping back and forth between modes as in some GBA games or adds extra elements in others. The touch screen is fun and adds an extra dimension to game-play over the gameboy advance. The wi-fi connectivity allows game play with friends and connection to the internet to play with other Nintendo gamers. There is a calendar, a clock and an alarm. It has built in stereo speakers and a microphone socket. Overall I think it is excellent value for money (these days) and great fun to use.
Customer Review: AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Customer Review: Not good enough
I bought my PS3 and all the bits to get my GT5 Prologue working on my 1080p tv and was disappointed…

The PS3 was fine playing a Blu-Ray movie, but even the opening credits on Gran Turismo we just breaking up all the time. I did a lot of reading and the whole debate about how a $10 cable will do the same as a $70 on etc… well I ditched this cable for a Monster 1000hdmi and guess what.. now I have flawless audio and display in 1080p with not even a hint of a problem.

If you are having a similar problem, you will have to make up your own mind. I don’t think the build quality of this cable is that good and given the movies work and game didn’t, I am more like to believe that it just wasn’t capable bandwidth wise to do the job.
Customer Review: Do NOT buy!
I purchased a new HD 1080 TV and a playstation 3 a couple of months ago. I was using a Belkin HDMI cable I purchased for both cable tv and the PS3, switching back and forth whenever I wanted to use the other device. I decided to purchase this cable since the price was so low (compared to the 45 dollars for the Belkin) and since it had good reviews. I received the cable and plugged it in right away. To be as nice as I can, the quality was terrible. It was grainy and had a lot of static in the picture. I switched between the Belkin and this cable to make sure it wasn’t a poor port or something else but everything I tried led back to this cable. DO not buy this. It is not worth the price and you will end up with an inferior product and a terrible picture. Luckily amazon let me return the cable however I am now without a HDMI cable for even longer!

Pitfall : The Mayan Adventure
Pitfall Harry is back. Well, sort of. He’s been kidnapped, and this time his son is exploring and adventuring in his stead. Pitfall is fondly remembered as one of the first real hits on the Atari 2600 game system way back in the early 80s; Harry then reappeared in new adventures on the PC, PlayStation and Super Nintendo, among others. Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is a direct port of these games, and you’ll find it enhanced slightly, but mostly the same as previous versions.

The game’s a 2-D side-scrolling adventure in which Harry Jr. is on a mission to recover artefacts, gold, treasure, his dad and other goodies from the South American jungle. There must have been an explosion in a major cache somewhere, because this stuff is sitting in trees, on the ground and in subterranean locations. Harry and Harry Jr likely mugged Indiana Jones because they’re wearing his outfit and his whip. They also find lots of snakes and go on a mine car ride in this game. Hmm.

But the lack of originality doesn’t matter that much because the gameplay is pretty good overall. Harry Jr must run and jump over quicksand and the gaping maws of crocodiles, swing on vines, climb ropes, and fight chattering skeletons and chittering monkey foes in his quest. He also has to solve a few puzzles along the way.

While the graphics are enhanced in 32-bit finery for the Game Boy Advance screen, the details and colours are muddy, making it hard to appreciate the lush environments. Seeing where you’re going and what you’re grabbing can be difficult, even with perfect lighting. Also, the game suffers from repetition and a lack of inspiration. There’s only so much Harry Jr can do, and you’ll find him doing it a lot, over and over. Still, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure is a worthwhile romp on the handheld even if it is outshone a little by other, cleaner-looking launch titles. –Andrew S Bub

Customer Review: Dan the man and his magic review
Its back yet again! This title has been many peoples favourite over the years and hear it is again on the gba.The difference this time is that you are not actually harry. This time your his son.The reason for this is that he has been kidnapped and you have to rescue him.It is a good game but can be a bit tricky and frustrating. The sound effects are good and youll be humming the tunes long after your gba’s off.The graphics are average and this is a very skillfull, challenging game for all you dedicated gamers out there. My opinion is to buy this game. Thanks 4 reading.DAN

Customer Review: Adventure in the palm of your hand
This is one of the best games i have ever played. It reminds me of Tomb Raider. It is the same feeling when i first played Tomb Raider on the PC. The puzzles are intuitive and never dull. This game is pushing the technology of the GBA to good use. I think that it needs more umph in the action department but it will keep you thinking for the whole journey to work.

Customer Review: Girls at the beach
I played the first game and I thought it was harder than that but not really. The girls look great. The water ski race is fun. The outfits are cool. Just takes patience to get enough money to buy things. You get to take pictures of them. a plus but controlling the camera is hard and you have to buy film. Mindless game I play on the treadmill.
Customer Review: A very strange but enjoyable game…
This game is weird… even though the description on the box may have you thinking that this is a game about volleyball and jet ski racing, this game appears to be some kind of distorted perspective on female social hierarchies by the (obviously male) developers. Either that, or a joke. However, there is something really compelling about it, and I’m not just talking about the hot women or the mind-boggling “bounce” physics (mind-boggling in a bad way ie it is distracting to the point it is like hypnosis gone wrong); there is a really addictive and compelling aspect to this game that I can’t quite put my finger on. Despite its flaws and the fact its essentially soft-core pornography this game is addictive. There is always something to do, always swim suits to buy, always friends to make. And its a good game just to chuck on when you’re bored and don’t want to think to hard about anything. The only thing is that the achievements take an insanely long time to get. If you’re playing this game I would recommend setting the voices to Japanese and playing along with music on your HDD. If you set the voices to English, have some balsa wood nearby or something because you are going to want to smash someone over the face with how intensely annoying it is. Also the available soundtrack to this game is like throwing yourself into a tree-shredder. I’d recommend this game to anyone who wanted something more from the Dead or Alive series. And by “more” I really mean “less” as in less clothing.

Customer Review: Looks cool
This was one of the better designs for Wii guitars in my opinion. It comes as a large sticker and can take a bit of precision to get it to fit just right. As long as you don’t stick it down too hard initially, it’s not too difficult to peal some of it up to move around. I suggest removing the guitar neck when installing. It seems the sticker is made to fold over the edge of the neck area, but I didn’t realize this until after cutting it. It also might be easier to take of the entire face plate, as the whammy bar and stuff can get in the way. The sheet also comes with a Wiimote sticker that goes on the controller, otherwise the pattern isn’t complete. It easily fit on the controller. In addition to this there are fret stickers, but I didn’t use them because it went against the look and feel of the black and white design. The photo on Amazon did not show what it looked like with the wiimote, so I uploaded a few images for you to see the end results.

Customer Review: Nice Alternative
I actually purchased these because, in my excitement to get my XBox 360 up and running, I never noticed that it came with a headset. I have used both since, and these are a good alternative to the standard XBox 360 model. I do wish the the headpiece opposite the earpiece extended further down as it stops about 2 inches above my ear, but the headset stays on reliably and shouldn’t come off short of you tossing your controller (which the headset plugs into) to the ground. On the plus side, the microphone is easily adjustable and seems to have a good sensitivity setting. A quality accessory, overall.

Customer Review: Interesting
My son and I both play this game. It is more challenging for me than it is him. We really enjoy it. It is a little harder than I thought it would be. I don’t recommend it for a small child because of the complexity. My son is 10 and hard enough for him.
Customer Review: The best Gameboy Advance game I have found.
This game is really fun. If you like pirates, all the better. You can do fights at sea on the Black Pearl or on land as Jack Sparrow. You navigate to different islands using Jack’s compass. There are small details that are important such as on the compass there is something to tell you which way the wind blows so that you will know which way your ship will move the fastest. Another of these little details is the characters you fight as Jack. It is challenging and different from other gameboy games. Sometimes it is more like a maze than a platform game. There are enough levels to keep you challenged and entertained for lots of play. I am 11 and even my older brother really likes this game.

Pok?mon Emerald (Game Boy Advance)
Over the many years since its initial release the Pokemon series has slowly evolved into one of the most expansive and in-depth role-playing games available on any format. Pokemon Emerald is a sort of director’s cut of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, in much the same way that Pokemon Crystal relates to Pokemon Gold and Silver or Pokemon Yellow to Pokemon Red and Blue.

Although the storyline is similar to Ruby and Sapphire its focus is on the legendary pokemon Rayquaza, rather than Kyogre and Groudon. Not only does this alter the storyline in several important places but it also changes where and how often you can catch certain pokemon. Some of the trainers have moved around as well and there are also new battle animations for all the pokemon when they fight.

The most important new feature is the Battle Frontier and the seven Frontier Brain competitors. This is for real pokemon experts and takes the form of a seven different tournaments against some especially powerful pokemon. The reward is some additional badges that further increase your powers as a trainer.

Unlike Ruby and Sapphire the game is also compatible with the Game Boy Advance wireless adaptor, which makes it easier to battle and trade and also gives you access to the Union chat room, for you to fill with real pokefans. With many other smaller additions and tweaks, such as a National Pokedex that includes listing for every Pokemon in existence, this is just the thing for pokemon obsessives of all ages. — Harrison Dent

This preview is based on an incomplete version of the game; features or problems mentioned above may not appear in the finished game.

Customer Review: Brilliant!
When this game came out i didn’t think it would be any different to the previous version, Ruby and Sapphire, but i soon found that it was a serious improvement on them and that the new features, like a battle tower, complete what was already a great game and this is why i would recommend it to anyone. Buy it now!

Customer Review: This game is the best ever!!!
I do truly believ that this is the best pokemon game so far.

I dont no why, i have played the others but this is my favourite!!!

None of them give me as much enjoyment and have made me search information on the pokemon in the game before but this has!

I love this game!

Good Buy!

Customer Review: Too difficult and fast for people who arnt 24 hour gamers
I enjoy games and love games like call of duty 4, but dont spend all my time on them, but the people who play this game tend to have played it all day everyday. its very difficult to get better when as soon as you enter a game, you get killed almost instantly. i dont understand how people learn to get so good if you dont get a chance to learn!? It may just be me i guess judging by the other reviews. but if you are like me and are just a guy who plays games when he is tired from work or too lazy to go out, then it will just be frustrating for you. the game play is brilliant, if there was a chance to actually have a shot a surviving it. When playing with mates multiplayer split screen its great. its alot more enjoyable. I just wish they had a virtual players where you can adjust the difficulty level. another thing is people on use the bluetooth headset and can be just rude to you when you loose which is uncalled for, coz they think there better than you coz you dont spend hours and hours playing games which is unessacary and makes it that bit worse and less fun playing. I hope this helps you decide.
Customer Review: help?

Xbox 360 Rechargeable Controller Battery Pack This Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack powers your Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with 25 hours of play per charge.
Customer Review: Dead Rechargeables.
I have now purchased three rechargeable batteries. At first I was extremely happy with my rechargeable batteries. Plug them into your 360 and the next day they were recharged. I’ve had two of them for over a year and now they don’t ever want to charge up. They only last for about two hours before they die. I can honestly say I will not purchase another set. This is pathetic a one year life on rechargeable batteries. I don’t like the idea that I have to buy new rechargeable batteries every year.

Official Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable
Customer Review: Not the best choice
If your looking for the most compatible link cable with your Game Boy Advance system then this is it. The real question is whether it’s worth it…

The Official Game Boy Advance Link cable is not to be confused with other Game Boy link cable formats as it is not cross compatible with earlier versions of Game Boy I’m afraid, meaning you’ll need to purchase seperate cables for different formats.

Probably more shockingly is the fact that it is NOT compatible with all applicable GBA games, which is ridiculous considering this is mean’t to be your official choice.

My advice to you is stay away.

Customer Review: Gba game link cable “SUCKS”
This is the worst goddamn product i have ever seen do not buy it it is a waste of 10 bucks, it sucks sucks sucks, this piece of crap wont work for ANY pokemon games an sucks sweaty sac.

e-Reader Pinball Value Cart
This pack of cards is for use with the Nintendo e-Reader accessory, which reads information from the cards and translates it into games for the Game Boy Advance system. This bundle comes with the following card packs:

  • Excitebike: Top cyclists from all over the world have gathered to test their skill and daring in the Excitebike World Championship–the first-ever motocross designer race. Riders must not only overcome the incredible dangers of motocross racing, they must design the winning or losing course. The anticipation in the air is apparent as the riders, with engines fired up, inch toward the starting line.
  • Tennis: It’s match point and your advantage. You drive a rocket serve to the far corner and rush the net. Your opponent makes a great return lob to the baseline. You scramble back and get off a crosscourt passing shot for the point and match. See if you have what it takes to be the ultimate pro!
  • Balloon Fight: The balloons are coming! They’re floating around carrying the enemy, who is armed with more ammo than plain hot air. The only thing to do is hop in your own balloon and counterattack. The balloon fight is on–raging over land and sea.
  • Pinball: From bumpers to flippers, all the action is here. Launch the pinball from the lane onto the table and rack up megapoints. Keep the ball on the table with two sets of flippers and score big by turning over cards, knocking out lights, and hitting as many bumpers as possible. There is even a secret Mario minigame to discover. With all the action of real pinball, this game is full-tilt fun.

Customer Review: Great when it arrives but gets repetative
If you get bored easily E-Reader is obviously for you. This pack contains classic games that are fun for the first 2 months but get repetative. Personally I believe this is better than purchasing NES games because it is probably cheaper and it is portable. Excitebikes level editor keeps the replay value pretty high. The racing mode is fun too. Best game in the set. Balloon Fight is exactly like JOUST if you have ever played it. The Journey mode gives the game a nice twist. Pinball doesnt have much. 1 table and 1 bonus round. Worst game in the set. Tennis is a stripped down Mario-Tennis clone. You run up to the ball, press A and hit it… Amazingly addicting actually. Every time you get bored of one game you can swipe to another…
Customer Review: Great if you like collecting and old Nintendo games
These cards are part of Nintendo’s latest accessory, the Card-e reader. The games in this set are Pinball, Balloon Fight, Tennis, and Excitebike. Using the E-reader (sold seperately), you can run the barcodes on the cards through it and then play the games the cards are based on. Other available NES games include Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Mario Bros., Ice Climber, Baseball, and Urban Champion. There are also some other E-reader sets, like Animal Crossing, Pokemon, and an upcoming Game & Watch set. For those who enjoy collecting cards, who like classic Nintendo games, or who just like fancy peripherals, these are great and fun to buy. Customer Review: Blu Ray player and a gaming machine
The PS3 is a good console, and probably (in my opinion) the best one out there. The built in blu-ray player is an added bonus as the industry has now selected it over the HD-DVD format. The ps3 is also great for playing online, I connected it to my DLink wireless router in a matter of minutes. I can also view my photos from my computer on my TV (check my review Samsung 40″ LCD TV). As for games there are so many for the PS3 and it can play PS2 games too and plenty of new ones are coming out. The graphics on the PS3 are better than the xbox, especially if you buy a HDMI cable and a 1080p TV as well. The wireless controls use bluetooth technology which is better then having cables restricting your movement, you do need the cable to charge them first though. There is also the play-station network which you sign up for free, it lets you download free demos and wallpapers, or full games. I wanted to get a BluRay player and my son wanted a gaming machine, so we are both happy with the PS3.
Customer Review: Sony PlayStation 3 (60GB)
Product summary The good: Swanky design with quiet operation; all games in high-definition; PSP-like user-friendly interface; plays high-def Blu-ray movies in addition to upscaling standard DVDs; built-in Wi-Fi and flash media reader; 60GB hard drive; online play is free; HDMI output with 1080p support; no external power supply; free online gaming service; plays PS2 and PS1 games; backwards compatibility is hardware based. The bad: Compelling exclusive games are still few and far between; PlayStation Home and rumble controller not available until 2008; a USB port on the back would’ve been nice; no infrared port means non-Bluetooth universal remotes aren’t compatible; glossy black finish is a fingerprint magnet; online gaming, media, and commerce options not nearly as developed as Xbox Live. The bottom line: The high-end Sony PlayStation 3’s larger hard drive and ability to play PS2 games makes it a worthwhile alternative to the cheaper model–so long as you’re willing to wait several months for the more promising exclusive titles to hit store shelves. If backward compatibility is your top priority, this hard-to-find model may be worth the search

Gaelic Games Football (PS2) Customer Review: A Good Starting Point
I greatly enjoyed this game, a I think it is very underrated. It took me a while to get into, and I struggled to master the controls at first, but soon County Wexford were holding Sam aloft (If only).

I do understand some of the complaints, although considering this is the first in the series, and indeed the first Gaelic football Games ever, to my knowledge, so there was not even anything to use for reference, means that this is quite an achievement. I’m sure in the years to come the games will get much better.
Customer Review: Patronising
This game is a real insult to the GAA fans who thought that this would be a great game. On a wider scale, it's an insult to Irish people who will buy this game in droves. I can't believe that a well-respected Irish site gave this game four stars out of five, it's one of the worst games I've ever played, let alone the worst sports simulation on the Playstation 2.

The game is like something from the 1980s. I played one game and just couldn't believe it. I'm a big fan of pro evolution soccer, and was hoping that this would be along these lines. I know it's a first try, and a couple of the reviews here say that we should buy it so a better one comes along next time. I don't believe that. I think the GAA have taken us for a ride here.

It's a poor game on so many levels, and realistic stadiums does not compensate for it. I mean, who looks at that? You want to be so hooked on the gameplay that it doesn't matter!

In short, a patronising game that I wouldn't recommend to anyone except someone I really wanted to mess with.

Xbox 360 Core Console System

Straight out of the hit video game series and into an articulated action figure form, the Halo 3 Series 1 features all your favorite characters in high detail. Each includes multiple points of articulation and comes with signature weapons.

The enemy is at hand. The hunt begins. The Brute combat mentality relies on overwhelming force and firepower to kill its opposition and nothing will stop this Brute Chieftain in his attempt to wipe out humanity. Brute Chieftain features 15 points of articulation and includes a gravity hammer. Measures 6.5″ tall.

Customer Review: Looks can be decieving
So, i bought this figure for several reasons, foremost of which it just looks awesome and having gotten it home, it does it looks awesome but looks can be decieving there are a couple problems with this thing most notable of which is the right hand the pictures show it holding the hammer, yet mine came glued together, and i actually had to cut the thumb away from the fingers that being said, the individual peices on this thing are very high quality plastic i am somewhat afraid of breaking it, but i’ll explain that in my next point the articualtion is a brain teaser some of it is standard, the ankles move, the knees move, the chest moves, and the shoulders bend but they crammed a lot of articulation into a timy figure, and that means that figuring out what piece rotates is a pain in the patuki and it doesn’t hold the hammer with both hands, only the left but the hammer rocks like really it just plain rocks the detail and painting is fantastic, and the peg hole for attatching it to the backs of characters is practicly invisable also, the plastic gives enough that extranious bits like the prongs on the head and arm shield have little fear of breaking or falling off all in all, this is a great figure for display, albiet somewhat awekwardly (i’ve found using the hammer as a guitar works well :D) this toy is alright for play, not the best thing, but not horrible either
Customer Review: Great looking but Fragile
Opened my figure only to have the hammer come out in two pieces. The top half must have broken in transit to the store where I bought him. The figure and hammer were securely fastened in the packaging with tape and twist ties. It is nothing a little glue did not fix but I’m afraid if the hammer takes a fall or dropped it can break again. Figure looks great and well articulated.

Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day is a fun, rewarding form of entertainment everyone can enjoy. Inspired by cutting-edge neuroscience, it’s a full set of reading and mathematic exercises that stimulate the brain. At the start, you’ll take a series of tests and get a score that determines how old your brain is. This is your “Brain Age” — by performing daily exercises just minutes a day over weeks and months, the better you’ll get and the lower your Brain Age will get.

Customer Review: Ok to keep you sharp, but frustrating to use
The premise is great and some of the features really are enjoyable to use. The software has you run through various memory, observation, mathematical and verbal exercises to stimulate your brain. It scores you based on the time it takes you to complete specific exercises as well as correctness. In many ways its great and fun. However, there are a few annoyances that grind on you within a few days. The comical inventor that talks to you gets to be a drag after a while, with the same phrases and nonsense…. yes, I know, it stimulates your prefrontal cortex. Enough already. There really should be a way to turn some of those repetitive screens off, once you have seen them for the 50th time. Sheesh. Another issue I have is the handwriting recognition. The game has you write the answers to basic math questions on the touch screen and uses handwriting recognition to interpret what you wrote. The problems arise when you write numbers differently than the software wants. If you write a 7 with a horizontal line through the middle, be prepared for the game to recognize the seven early and then read that line as a 1. Half the time it doesn’t like my 4s because of the spacing between some of the lines. So you have to learn to write like Nintendo wants you to, which slows you down and can frustrate… and thus screws up your score totally. For some reason, in one of the verbal exercises, every once in a while, the software cannot understand what I’m saying when I say blue. It will get me saying blue correctly several times and suddenly it just doesn’t get it and makes me repeat it, I say blue again, it says “try again” and I’m speaking to it like a deaf child “BBUUUULLLLUUUUUUU” and finally it takes. So much for todays ‘brainage test score’ which now has my brain at 89 years of age given it took 5 tries to get the color of the text understood. The concept is great and it really does make you use your greycells, but some of the recognition issues could have been avoided with more user control over when to evaluate an answer (how about I write a number and then press a DONE button on the bottom?), or adaptive learning so you can teach it to fine-tune some of the character or voice recognition. In all, its worth the price.
Customer Review: Love it!
I LOVE this game! It took me a while to actually buy it, I myself being one of the people who thought “educational video games…no way!” But I am SO glad I did. As you play through you unlock more mini-games to train your brain, and other fun things as well! There are tons of sudoko puzzles to play also! You can test your brain age once a day, and the tests are always different and fun. The only negative thing I can say is that my brain age is never steady! Sometimes it will be in the 20’s (20 is the lowest and best brain age) and the next day it will be in the 50’s! However, that just makes me play it more! The microphone almost always picks up exactly what I am saying, and there are many games that utilize this cool feature. The only bad thing I have to say is that the game seems to have a slower clock than what really exists, and because you can only do each game or brain age check once a day, you can’t play them as often. But even so, this game rocks!

This is how it began…
It is the year 2524. Harvest is a peaceful, prosperous farming colony on the very edge of human-controlled space. But we have trespassed on holy ground–strayed into the path of an aggressive alien empire known as the Covenant. What begins as a chance encounter between an alien privateer and a human freighter catapults mankind into a struggle for its very existence.
But humanity is also locked in a bitter civil war known as the Insurrection. So the survival of Harvest’s citizens falls to a squad of battle-weary UNSC Marines and their inexperienced colonial militia trainees. In this unlikely group of heroes, one stands above the rest…a young Marine staff sergeant named Avery Johnson.

Customer Review: Where it all started
All halo fans know the story, but do they know where it started? That is one thing curiously left out in the Halo games and in most of the books. This book, Contact Harvest, gives you the story of first contact with the covenant, and the beginning of a deadly war. Avery Johnson, a popular character in the Halo games, makes his first appearance in the war on Harvest, a lowly planet on the edge of UNSC controlled space. Harvest is the UNSC’s foremost supplier of food for all of its colonies, but is a distant trek away from any of the core planets. Although the UNSC does not know it, Harvest also falls close to the edge of Covenant controlled space, a terrifyingly powerful race, so far unknown to the UNSC. It all starts with a lone unarmed UNSC freighter that has trouble with its slipdrive and drops out of its travels in the middle of open space, right in the path of a covenant destroyer. Why would anyone want to read this book? First, if you are a hardcore Halo fan, this is a must read for you. Anyone who has played the Halo games and enjoyed the story like me, should know where it all began. Yet another reason to read this is, even though you may not be a Halo fan like me, it is still an excelent read as a standalone Sci-Fi story. Lastly, It is a great look into a possible future over the next 200 years for our planet. It looks deep into the technologies that may inhabit our lives in the near future. To close this up, Halo: Contact Harvest is an excelent read for anyone that is even remotly interested in Sci-Fi stories. As well, for any Halo fans out there, it is definently a good insight on the beginning of the Halo story. With my regards, i hope you have a good read. Customer Review: Solid first novel.
It answered a lot of questions, some I’d never even thought to ask, but were nice to know anyway. For his first novel, it’s pretty good. IMO not on the same level as Ghosts of Onyx, but a fun read for a Halo fan. If you’re not a Halo fan, this might not be the book for you… but if you’re not a Halo fan, why are you reading this?

Customer Review: Basic & shareware style, fun only in multiplayer
Bipi wrote a great review. I rented this game & played only an hour alone: Shooting Range - Good physics but VERY boring, the mini game shooting on Wario Ware is MUCH better & exciting with barrels, cans, rockets coming at you, etc & much faster. Find Mii - I actually like it, good way to improve your observation skills like a Brain Age game. Table Tennis - very small movements, it’s like Pong at first, then on steroids at 40+ points/rally. The computer never fails. If want to use the remote to swing, Rockstar Table Tennis is good. Pose Me - very boring, just wrist turning & button smashing. Another maybe Brain Age game, but still very boring. Laser Hockey - small movements are key, the “puck” is sluggish at first, then super sonic when bounces off the wall. Air Hockey on Game Play is much more realistic & you hold the remote parallel the the ground as well & move it exactly with same amount of arm movement & extending arm a lot to use force as real air hockey. SECRET: hit A&B together during countdown & the sluggish C turns into regular round controller like real air hockey & physics change for the better as well. When playing against comptuer there’s a 120 second time limit. Billiards - will not help you improve your game since the camera angles are not good, though the physics seem to be real. I hated it. Fishing - found it surprisingly fun for about 20 min, then got bored of it. Very cute because of the vibration & speaker use & physics. Charge/Cow racing - fun, great idea, but only one level & it’s timed. If it had more levels this would be the one of the best games. Tanks - strategy light ;-) & very addicting even played alone & has 100 levels. Those of you say graphics aren’t great on Wii, it’s fine! IT’s not like old days where everything looks blurry & not sure what you’re seeing. Everything on here is crisp & with great detailing on textures & perfect physics.
Customer Review: Only For Super Beginners
The game is truly not a “game” at all.. it’s like an electric version of an instruction manual for the remote control. It’s really not very fun for very long. It’s amusing for about 15 minutes, maybe 20, and then it’s just… not. I ended up selling the game and keeping the remote. It’s only really meant for beginners who can’t figure out how to use the remote, in my opinion. It IS helpful in learning more about the remote, I agree, but I ended up getting this game days after I first started playing Wii, so it was a bit pointless.

Customer Review: great game for younger kids, but reading is involved
This game is kind of like Webkinz in a sense. The kids can pick which animal they want to build and can choose various rooms to go in for games or cooking, bathing, getting dressed, dancing, etc. However, there is a lot of reading that explains what the child needs to do. It’d be better if it just talked the instructions instead. As long as your child can read really well or an adult is with them to read teh instructions to them it’s a good game. I’m sure once they’ve played it many times, they figure out what to do and don’t need the directions.
Customer Review: build a bear
This game is wonderful keeps kids engaged they love it. The 4 & 7 year old love it and each want to do it at the same time. very nice NO VIOLENCE at all if your kids are younger Id say 11 and under excellent choice. Customer Review: Hockey game that kicks puck!
Very solid game with tremendous amount of value for money. Many different modes and extras. Season and Franchise gives the game an enormous amount of longevity and you can really work hard on getting your team to the top. On the negatives and after playing it regularly for some months, unlocking certain teams is a bit more challenging that needed. Also, some of the loading sequence gets a bit dull. Menus could have been a bit more animated. Practise challenges, Fighting and injury animation during the matches always ends the same way and some randomizing of graphics would make it a bit more enduring. I miss some of the gore from Sega’s Hockey game but maybe this is because I have not unlocked 60’s and 70’s teams (one of the reasons why I still am playing the game :-))

The Orange Box The Orange Box includes all the content of The Black Box for PC, plus the original Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One. Customer Review: Good Game, could have been better, but they only had 10 years.
This is a really good deal for what you get, however, you should note, to play Team Fortress 2 and the new version of Half Life, you will need a XBOX Live gold membership.
Orange box includes the old Half Life games, I am not sure why you would want to rehash that, especially since most of us probably have the original versions. Old versions seem tired, and I wonder how it kept my attention years ago. If you are even a occasional gamer, you ought to have something better to play than old first person shooters.
Team Fortress 2 is excellent if you can find a decent server to play it on. When the system goes to search there doesn’t seem to be near the variety that pops up with some other multiplayer games like WarHawk.
I am also getting tired of multiplayer releases without single player gaming on the disc. These games initially do fairly well, if you can find a good server, but try and play it in a year or two, servers will be even harder to find. 10 years of development should have been enough to give this game a single player version.
The new Half Life version is okay, but you have a feeling that you have already played it. Again, surely there is something that hasn’t been rehashed out there that an occasional gamer could better spend his time playing, perhaps BIOSHOCK or HALO 3, STRANGLEHOLD.

Customer Review: Works perfectly, but don’t scratch too hard
I bought one of these cards while it was slightly on-sale, making it a bit cheaper than buying points directly through Microsoft.

It’s just a plain, plastic card with a portion that you scratch off to reveal a long key code that you enter into your XBL account.

A word of caution though. Don’t scratch it too hard because you can actually scratch off the key code lettering, which is what happened to me. Luckily, I was still able to figure out what my code was and the card didn’t go to waste.

With free shipping through my Amazon Prime account, this was easy enough and I saved a tiny bit of money.

Customer Review: GOOD, BUT TOO SHORT?
this game is really good fun, but it is quite easy to complete, its also only got 16 levels. I am a teenager and a fan of shrek and i love this game, i’d say its worth a buy, but could get boring.
Customer Review: Great fun!
This game uses all functions of the DS well. The gameplay takes place on the bottom screen with the top screen being an extension of the scene (also the help tips appear here). You can play as multiple different characters. You use the directional control pad (or the ABXY buttons for LH gamers!) to move each character (although the game is set in a 3D world, the actual gameplay is only 2D so you can only move side to side or up and down). You will need to use your stylus all the time to enable each character to perform their own unique ‘moves’ to enable progression through the game. The clever part of this game is the ability to switch between playing as different characters (e.g. Shrek, Puss and Artie at the beginning of the game), individually, in pairs and as a team, making them work together to get to the end of each level. Each character has different individual skills, and you will need to use them separately to access different parts of each level to allow the other characters to continue through to the end of the level. E.g., Puss is the only one who can jump to ledges and ‘roll attack’ through small gaps; Artie is the only one who can cross water by floating on his shield and activate some magic auras by throwing his shield at a glowing object above; Shrek can break weak floors or crash through walls. If you want to progress to the next level, you will need to have moved all 3 characters through to the end of the level so that they are standing in front of the Mystic Exit together, otherwise it won’t activate! Once you have selected the mode of play and the save slot, you will be taken through the story thus far. You need to turn the DS around by 90 degrees to view it as a 2-page book. The left page has stained-glass style artwork (as per the opening of the films), and the right page has the text of the story. The great thing about this is that Donkey actually narrates the story, embellishing the standard written text as only he can! This is great fun for all, but particularly good for young children who cannot read the story-book text very fast. After Donkey has finished his story telling, you are off to the Apprentice Hall where you find yourself playing as Shrek (on his own). After successfully progressing through the Apprentice Hall playing as all the 3 characters (separately and together) you start the game ‘proper’. There are 4 ‘worlds’ - Bogey Byway, Raiders Bay, Maze of Spades, Castlehoff. In each of these 4 worlds there are 4 levels to complete (3 levels and a final level). In each level you will need to collect a number of golden fairies and coins. You cannot proceed to the next world without first completing the previous world. It is a great game that uses all the functions of the DS well. It’s certainly not a difficult game, and perhaps aimed at the younger market, however I think adults will enjoy this game and not become too bored as you need to think on an additional ‘logical’ level to complete each level using mutliple characters. GAMEPLAY INFORMATION:- 2 MODES OF PLAY - a) single play, and (b) multiplay (where you can host a game or join a game using the NDS wireless capabilities); 3 separate SAVE SLOTS to save 3 separate games - enabling multi independent users; Great SOUND EFFECTS throughout the whole game - Donkey narrates the initial story and all the ‘help’ icons, plus each character will frequently make character-specific noises (Shrek farts and burps!); MAGIC allows you to do such things as help defeat enemies and access ledges for those characters that can’t jump - if you hold the L or R shoulder button, a purple haze will cover the screen, and you can use your magic on the objects you can see flashing through the haze; COLLECT 26 GOLDEN FAIRIES to break the spell and COLLECT 84 COINS to unlock bonuses and secrets; Collect MERLIN’S HOLOGRAM BOXES throughout gameplay to see what has recently happened in Far Far Away.

Customer Review: One shall stand, One shall fall
When the 2007 live-action Transformers movie was released, it was inevitable that it, like all other big blockbuster titles, would receive a video game adaption, the question however was; would it be good or bad. Well, the answer is both yes and no, Transformers has a very easy concept to turn into a video game and more recently we have started to see an improvement in video game movie tie-ins (King Kong, Spiderman 2, Batman Begins), however, of course a great movie can always make for a bad video game. Now as for the concept, the storyline is based on that of the movie, in which the Transformers have come to Earth searching for the Allspark, the ultimate source of power in the known universe and the very thing that created them. There are several characters you get to play as, each with varying strengths and different alternate modes. The highlight of the game, is that you get to choose which side you can play as. You choose either the Autobots, the heroic group sworn to protect all life, or the Decepticons, whose only purpose is to destroy and conquer. Now, the gameplay differs onsiderably between each faction, the Decepticons campaign probably gets the higher props in the ‘fun’ factor, seeing as though most of their campaign involves destroying everything in sight. The Autobots campaign is more made up of racing around to areas within a certain time limit. Both campaigns have a good deal of shooting, driving, fighting and exploring. Graphics wise, the game looks quite good, the in-game models look very close to the CG movie models excellent designs. There is also quite a bit of detail put into the environments. The cutscenes are mostly hit-and-miss, some look great (especially the final ones and the intro), whilst some look severely rushed. As for interaction, the Transformers interact with their environments very well, they can climb, jump and move at such a freedom no other Transformers game has allowed. Add to the fact they can transform into various vehicles further expands that freedom. The game also contains some very impressive destructible environments, with debree thrown everywhere in quite a realistic fashoin when a building is destroyed. You can also use certain parts of the environment as weapons. Now as for gameplay, this is where the game has most of it’s problems. Driving feels quite good, as you can boost and shoot at the same time. The game also has a melee combat system which allows for the Transformers to go hand-to-hand with each other. However, much of the combat can feel simplistic, especially when you appear to use the same strategy against a differing foe. As for shooting, it’s only really useful against weaker enemies and Human-based vehicles, the stronger oponents usually block every shot with the only effect being to slow them down a bit. Only a few weapons, such as Blackout’s EMP blasts or Ironhide’s cannons, seem to have any effect on the stronger foes. This is where you can use pieces of the environment, like other cars, lamposts etc. as weapons which does add slightly to the gameplay value. The sound feels quite well done, one musical score in particular felt movie-quality and the sounds of the explosions, transformations and weapon fire, don’t feel too bad at all. It’s probably the voice-acting in the cutscenes that were done the poorest. For nostalgic value, not only has Peter Cullen, who voiced Optimus Prime in the original series and the new movie, recorded lines for the game, but also Frank Welker, the original voice of Megatron, lended his talents. Now, admittidly whilst it was good to hear it again in the role after so many years, his voice doesn’t quite fit the look and attitude of the frightening and viscious movie Megatron (voiced in the movie by Hugo Weaving). Added to the value is that professional voice actor/live actor Keith David provides the voice for the Decepticon, Barricade. Shia Labeouf and Megan Fox also lend their voices for the game, although in all honesty, they really don’t sound like they were trying much, with Megan Fox sounding more like a ditz than she ever truly has done. For fans of the series, not only do you get to play as many Transformers characters on either side, but the game also has added characters not seen in the movie (ala the Spider-Man adaptions) and also plenty of bonus features for replay value. All in all, whilst this could have been much better, it is fairly enjoyable while it lasts and to date, is the most complete Transformers gaming experience (as good as Atari’s excellent PS2 title was, it lacked much of the interaction present in this game and also many of the enemies lacked the ability to transform, even though in most other areas, is all-in-all a better game) All-in-all, this game won’t please everybody, but as a fan, I enjoyed it for what it was, simplistic, mindless fun. Graphics: 4/5 Gameplay: 3/5 Sound: 4/5 Extras: 4/5 Replay value: 3/5
Customer Review: Transform and roll out.
I bought this game cause i loved Transformers when i was a kid and i loved the movie. I must say i find it very entertaining and funny. Not a masterpiece like Halo or something like that, but it as great transformations and you can control all the famous bots of the series. Great game for transformers fans.

Game Boy Advance Console - Platinum
The Game Boy Advance features power that would have been unthinkable back when the original Game Boy was launched. Its 32-bit RISC CPU runs circles around the former machine’s 8-bit workhorse, allowing it to process program instructions much faster. What that means to everyday gamers is more intricate visuals, more simultaneous movement on the screen, and better sound. In fact, the often-annoying bleeps and bloops of old-school Game Boy titles are being replaced with digitised stereo sound. When you first pick up the system, you’ll notice how lightweight it is. It’s a little less than 150 grams, but a little larger than a deck of playing cards. The GBA’s wider shape fits better into a wider range of hands, and the screen is fitted with antiglare technology–you need pretty good light to play by, but you won’t be craning your neck and tilting the unit to see around the reflection of the light bulb in your screen.

You’ll also notice the graphics. Essentially sporting redesigned SNES technology, you’ll see things on the GBA that the big consoles do, such as scaling (making objects larger or smaller) and rotation effects–technological advances that will affect the look of everything from crossing a finish line to scoring a goal to crawling through a dungeon. The extra processing muscle also means you can network up to four Game Boy Advance units together, via the communication cable, for multiplayer fun from one shared cartridge. Because the Game Boy Advance system is backward-compatible, it will play not only its own line of colourful games–including such launch titles as Super Mario Advance, F-Zero: Maximum Velocity, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2, and Kuru Kuru Kurin–but also almost all of the monochrome and colour games that have already been released for the previous Game Boy systems. It seems that Nintendo have wisely struck a balance between size, price, and power consumption. And considering how well the old 8-bit system weathered the decade’s technological storms, the Game Boy Advance seems here to stay. –Porter B Hall

Customer Review: Decent enough…
The GBA maybe showing its age against the DS and PSP but it’s still a decent portable gaming system and there’s nearly always something for everyone here.

The handheld has a large list of games plus it can play older Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles giving you access to a massive library of games to choose from. If you have the right cables you can link up with other GBA’s to play multiplayer games and even link up with the Gamecube on certain games.

The only major problem with the system is the lack of a back light display which means that if you play the GBA in a poorly lit place you won’t see very much. There are ways around this (worm light, afterburner…) but you are worried about this I recommend getting the GBA SP or a DS instead.

If you are looking for a cheap portable gaming system, you won’t go far wrong with the GBA. Get some decent rechargeable batteries and bus/train journeys will never be the same again.

Customer Review: Good system for the kids
This is an OK first game system for the kids. it will keep them amused for some time, although, if you are used to the screen lighting up, this is not for you. but once you get used to that, you can enjoy the console, plus the ability to link to other users can take you to another level, so long as you have the same game !!!!

Game Boy Advance SP Flame Red At first look, you might think the Game Boy Advance SP is a sleek travel alarm clock; when closed, it’s just as tall and deep as the original GBA, but only half as wide. Its clamshell design protects the screen from everyday scratches. Open it up and the hinge will seek out a preferred, pre-set angle (about 150 degrees), though you can open it a bit wider or narrower for your own comfort. The hinge stands up well to lateral pressure.

Many decried the original GBA’s reflective LCD screen and its reliance on external light sources. The Game Boy Advance SP’s main feature–optional built-in lighting–fixes this complaint nicely. The quality of the
