Customer Review: A MUST BUY!
This is as a superb RPG for the 360 where for once the storyine is every bit as good as the graphics! There are huge areas to explore and it will take you some time to complete so it’s really worth the asking price. If you like RPG then you MUST get this game. 10/10
Customer Review: Flawless - Mass Effect is a Must Own
So, I was waffling on which next-gen machine to buy, until I saw a review of Mass Effect. It looked compelling, the mix of shooter, roleplay, character creation, and an open and deep story. I bought the 360, and haven’t regretted it for a moment. Mass Effect is a game you Will play through more than just once. Not a big fan of RPGs? This is the (semi) rpg for you. I never could abide turn-based, top down play. Mass Effect is totally immersive. The RPG elements are just the fun ones: creating a character with their own individual back story, highly detailed face creation (try to make Shepherd look like you!) and ability boosting. The shooting side is perfect - no control issues, targeting problems, etc. Missions and side assignments abound - this is a nice, long game, with an excellent plot, and superb voice acting. Also, it is very, very pretty =] Buy Mass Effect now - even if you have to buy a 360 as well.

Customer Review: Why didn’t I play this sooner?!
I am gonna let you into a little secret, this is a good rpg. I have to admit, I put off getting this game for quite a while. The fact that the selling price for this game has dropped so much, I didn’t think it would be any good. But, I was wrong. Now, I have been playing rpgs for absolutely years, and was looking for something to play on my PS3, so I decided to pick this up. I was quite honestly, plesently surprised. Yeah, sure, it’s nothing original, but putting all gripes and comparisons to former rpgs aside, Enchanted Arms is a solid rpg, it really is. I have played so many rpgs over the years that I can generally sniff out the bad apples after a few hours into the game. I played Enchanted Arms through to the end! I thoroughly enjoyed the game all the way through, the ending was a little bit naff, but apart from that I liked it. If you are looking for a good rpg, and don’t want to be overthrown by the scale of something like Oblivion (which, in fact, I have to admit, I didn’t really like), then give Enchanted Arms a try. Even for the price it sells for now, you can’t really go wrong.
Customer Review: Real RPG
This is the first Real RPG i’ve picked up for my PS3, PC or anything else since Wild Arms 3 seeing as the world seems to be obsessed with Western Style RPG’s at the moment. By Real i mean, it’s not a sandbox free roaming thing with 40 Million hours of gameplay and sidequests. The likes of Oblivion and Western RPG’s in general that seem to think a good RPG means “Do what ever you want, even if you don’t want to do the story”. Call me old fashioned but i like doing the story bit and i dont want to have to go and find it, when a game does this i often just stumble around the world never getting anything done. Right, rant over. About Enchanted Arms. Yes, Real RPG with random battles to boot. The battle system is this grid based thingy where you place your characters like a chess board for lack of a better term, if you’re used to J-RPG’s you’ll pick this up no problem but equally the learning curve is easy. One of those easy to play difficult to master things. However it can make some of the easier battles a little longer and annoying if you’re just grinding away to level up. Aswell as battling with your characters there are Golems to help you out, they come in various different shapes and sizes and collect them a bit like pokemon. You beat a Golem and then get a sort of schematic telling you what items you need build it. The leveling up is a little like Final Fantasy 10, you level up and also get points to spent on two things. A new skill (which you have to buy before you can learn) or increasing your attributes HP, EP (magic) etc… One thing i’m not a fan of in this game is the dialogue, there’s nothing wrong with the conversations it’s how it’s delivered. When ever you talk to any character, you see them both in the foreground of the screen like the ‘Tales Of…’ series and they animate just enough to get their point accross and as only two can be on the screen at the same time they pop in and out randomly. Unlike other RPG’s where they stand about, walk around and interact with each other properly. It sometimes removes you from the emotions of the characters. It does however have properly acted sequences to go with these that you get every once in a while. Graphics last, as they never make a good game and certainly don’t make good RPG. They’re nothing special. At a stretch some of it could have just been done on a PS2. Saying that, its a pretty polished game overall. I wont mention any story for fear of spoilers, but it’s solid enough. I’m not going as far as to say this is a must for your PS3 collection, but if you’re tired of replaying RPG’s on your PS2 there’s not really a lot else out there and there are far worse games you could spend your time and money. It’s one of those - If you’re an RPG fan you’ll love it. If not well, you might not love it - thing.

Customer Review: Good entry level receiver
We purchased this receiver to replace a Sony STR-DE335 5.1 analog receiver and to pair with a Hitachi 57″ projection HDTV- model 57F59A, a Panasonic DMR-EZ475V DVD Recorder, and an XBOX 360 using a KLH HT-9900 6-Piece Home Theater Speaker System. My initial impression is that for the money, I’ve done about as well as I could possibly do to integrate all these components through an economical receiver. When comparing sound output from both receivers, I’d say that the new Sony sounds slightly better than the old one because of digital sound processing but it takes a lot higher volume setting out of the new one to power 11 year old speakers (which still sound great). The audio improvement is not as great as I had anticipated. Still, it’s hard to find fault with the new receiver. My KLH sub woofer is a passive unit so I find the bass underwhelming when powered by this receiver; go with a powered sub if you can. Since this 1080i receiver is matched with a 1080i HDTV, it doesn’t bother me that my DVD recorder and XBOX 360 are both 1080p. I probably wouldn’t notice the difference anyway. For the money, you’d be hard pressed to find a better 1080i receiver. Go ahead and get one.
Customer Review: excelent sound
I haven’t complete the set of speaker but with 2 speaker i have, it sound beautiful.

The Guitar Hero III Companion Piece is a combination of two different products - a traditional soundtrack of music from the Guitar Hero III game and an expansion pack of songs for the game. We call this a “companion piece” since it is a compliment to the newest version of Guitar Hero III. This piece provides fans many of the key songs from the game as well as new songs/levels for them to play.

The music portion of the companion piece will feature songs from the Guitar Hero such as AFI “Miss Murder”, Sonic Youth “Kool Thing”, Queens of the Stone Age “3’s and 7’s”, and many more.

The expansion portion for the game will literally be new levels for the game - new songs to be played in the Guitar Hero III game. These bonus songs will be delivered via a CODE on an insert in the CD package. This code is unique for Xbox Live, where the user can type in the code and download 3 exclusive tracks in guitar hero format directly into the Xbox game. These three “expansion songs” are unreleased material from 3 of the biggest rock acts in the world: * “Carcinogen Crush” from AFI (from a forthcoming EP of new material due in December) * “Tina” from Flyleaf * A remix of Marilyn Manson’s “Putting Holes in Happiness” by Nick Zinner from Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Customer Review: What about Wii owner?
I’d like a code for Wii so that we can download some new tunes for GHIII. A few songs would fill in my library. You can buy discs like this off BMG for about $7 delivered.
Customer Review: Code
For any customer out there that doesn’t have an Xbox 360. Could you pm the code for the dlc? I would gladly appreciate it. Btw the the cd rocks just like the game.

Customer Review: great gaming coffeetable book
The 2nd edition to this gaming reference series makes a fine coffeetable book or for a quick browse for short snippet info on gaming titles. By all means, this is not a book of in-depth reviews, the titles are covered very briefly (summarised) and categorised according to genre/replayability value/plot sypnosis. If you need comprehensive info on gaming titles, you’d do better on gaming mags or websites. However, it remains a good collector’s item as most of your favourite games are included with nice colored screenshots, which makes it a fine addition to your gaming library for all gaming fans. I was very impressed by this 2nd edition in that it included some very recent games which I thought would not make it in before the release date. The only disappointment is that the 2nd edition came in paperback whereas my 1st edition was a hardcover.
Customer Review: Well Researched, Well Thought Out
I was privileged to be sent an advance PDF copy of The Book of Games Volume 2 by author Bendik Stang, and having now completed my reading of this volume in one evening, I am eagerly looking forward to the print version. The Book of Games Vol. 2 has matured exponentially over its previous incarnation, which I feel is very appropriate as Volume 2 has a very pointed focus on the maturity which the videogame industry as a whole is experiencing. While I am still disappointed in regards to the lack of coverage in regards to the Guild Wars properties, that is largely due to personal bias, as I am a casually hardcore Guild Wars player. Now that I have my only truly negative viewpoint out of the way, let’s move on to the good stuff. I was extremely impressed with the amount of research which had obviously gone into the production of Volume 2, as well as the new features which had been added for the individual game listings and ratings. These additions show that the authors listened to those who took the time to give them feedback on Volume 1, and as such have made themselves a part of the gaming community in a way which some authors never achieve, no matter how knowledgeable they may be on their topics. Another interesting sidenote was seeing another book which I am in process of reviewing featured in a sidebar in this book. As a journalist with a heavy research addiction, I always consider how useful a publication will be to me on my endless quest for knowledge, and The Book of Games Volume 2 passed that consideration with ease. There are many, many sources for further reading and education. While The Book of Games Volume 1 was a handy reference for the parents and relatives of gamers, Volume 2 fully opens up the changing videogame industry, from development to tournaments and beyond. The authors have successfully put the industry into a nutshell - one which gamers, teachers, parents and even grandparents will appreciate. This volume has every component of the videogame world between its covers, and takes a look at every aspect in a well-worded, well-researched, and well-presented manner. Every chapter contains evidence of how videogames have become an integral part of our lives in the 21st century - from those who pick up a quick game of solitaire to those who travel the pro-gamer circuits. One photo I could immediately relate to was that of Norway’s Olav Undheim, winner of the 2007 World Cyber Games Grand Final Warcraft III Tournament. I saw that match, along with all of the other events held on that final game day in Seattle this past October. I was there when Olav hoisted that $ 20 000.00 cheque over his head at the medals presentation - and that’s what this industry called videogaming has at its core - a vibrant, global community - one which we experience at our own annual LAN tournament, and one which The Book of Games Volume 2 has opened to the world. I think that this book will do more to bring an understanding of the videogame culture to non-gamers than any collection of web sites and media articles could possibly do. Parents everywhere will benefit from this book, while gamers will embrace this book for the validation it brings to our gaming culture. The Book of Games Volume 2 is an excellent counter-weight to those who vocalize loud and long their negative views on the gaming industry as a whole. I challenge those who, without really understanding what videogames are truly all about to pick up this book and read it. Understand what draws those of us who game into our multi-pixelled worlds. The artwork is amazing, the music is incredible, and the passion insurmountable. As the owner of a company which has been trying unsuccessfully for three years to obtain a business license for a digital media centre for youth in our hometown, I would love to see the members of our Township council who oppose us, as well as those in the licensing department who insist on calling us an arcade, read this book. The Book of Games Volume 2, I believe, will become a very useful tool for those of us who are not only proud members of the gaming culture, we support the up and coming designers of tomorrow and all of the possibilities the world of gaming has opened to them, whether they become game designers, engineers, architects or even doctors. I whole-heartedly give The Book of Games Volume 2 a five star rating, and if there have been this many improvements in the series just between volumes 1 and 2, I can hardly wait until I get a look at Volume 3 which will be out in November 2008. To the authors I say “this is a work to be proud of, a job very well done.”

First 5 digits of code scratched off when I removed the coating with a coin. DON’T BUY THIS PRODUCT. The seller nor Microsoft would replace it, and I had to eat the $42. Microsoft live charges $45 to sign up for XBOX live through the console, so go that route.

Finding Nemo (GBA)
Customer Review: big game 4 a lil nemo!
wow! this is a pretty impressive game and kids will love it! i only played on this game once as it belonged to the person i baby sit for (aged 8) but i thought it was well thought out. basically u play as nemo and have lots of adventures. you swim through stars and bubbles put there for you to collect and have to dodge the spikey fish and other dangerous things and if touch them then you lose a life (get 5 altogether). there are special plants that will restore your lives when u brush against them. also by using the letter B on your gameboy you have to carry a pearl to the oyster n drop it in its mouth so it then closes and you can get past it.
age recommendations would be a child aged between 5-12 as its fairly easy and with more time quickly completed by someone of a older age. im 14 and still found it quite enjoyable so if youre up for a fairly easy game and a laugh then this could also be for you!
good points
fun game, nicely thought out, follows the storyline of finding nemo, quite addictive :)
bad points
quite repetitive but for youngsters part of the fun

if you like finding nemo and youre of a younger age or want a easy/fun game then buy this one!!!

Customer Review: Its ok but it’s not addictive and its way too easy
I totally loved the movie but for me it way too easy! its definitely aimed around the 5-9 year olds! I completed the game in around 4 days and to tell u the truth it didnt keep me that entertained! However if your looking for a pressie for a young kid then buy it but for over 11’s choose wisely!
Happy gaming!

Customer Review: Great little case, aside from the SMELL!
WOW this smells so much like gasoline it’s making my eyes water! Absolutely horrible smell. Other than that, it arrived a day early and would be perfect if not for the smell. I already have a headache and have been asked by others to take it outside the office!!!
Customer Review: Good Case.
Case is well made with a sturdy belt clip. Only con is charging of the Zune requires removal from the case.

Thumb Pad Keyboard (PS3)
List Price: ?19.99
Amazon Price: ?14.98
Customer Review: Not As Good As Expected
I orderd this as I was getting fed up with using the text mode on my PS3. Unfortunately it was faulty when it arrived and there was no power to the keyboard. It also did not look like it was worth ?20. A prime example of a cheap bit of kit that was priced high for the gaming industry. If it was not for the PS3 this would be about ?10 tops and it would be worth that. I didnt want a replacement so Amazon refunded me with no trouble at all.
Customer Review: Works with Wii, too!
This little keyboard works just fine with both my PS3 and my Wii. It’s mildly annoying that it doesn’t work with bluteooth, meaning that my 40gb PS3 has only one spare usb port, but that doesn’t detract from the fact that its light, easy to use and most importantly, plug-and-play!

Sumnique - USB Charge Charging Station Stand Dock for PS3 Console
You simply connect a USB male plug from the stand to the female USB port on the console and your charging station is active, you just then connect the controller into the mini usb male connection on the stand and it will then charge, light indicators will turn on and that will show that its charging, when fully charged, it will stop the light indication and that’s when its ready to use again.

Linksys WGA11B Wireless-B Game Adapter
The LINKSYS WGA11B Wireless-B Game Adapter gives any wired Ethernet equipped game console wireless connection capability. If you have an existing home wireless network with a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your PlayStation, XBOX, or GameCube attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, you can use a pair of Game Adapters to form a “cable-less cable” between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming — in the same room, or all the way across the house!
List Price: $49.99
Used Price: $39.99
Customer Review: Works Great with my Xbox 360
Much cheaper alternative to Microsoft’s $100 wireless adapter. Came with easy set-up instructions, got my 360 online in minutes.
Customer Review: Not an “out of the box” solution!
I am a System Engineer. I like to think I know my way around computers, networks, and electronics, in general. I generally have a great deal of patience in configuring devices to operate on my network. That being said, I cannot give this device a good rating. The documentation is poor and a networking novice might be in for a frustrating evening of trial and error. The claim that this is an “out of the box” solution for PS2 simply is not true. The range is absolutely abysmal; so much so that it is worth one’s time to rearrange that gaming area and string a cable rather than attempting a connection to a first-floor access point from the second story of an average house. I do not have two of these devices in order to test head-to-head gaming as the documentation suggests. I can’t speak to using this device with the Xbox or other systems, but I suspect performance would be similar. As a side note, this device performed similarly poorly when used to attach a laptop to the wireless network. If one wants a true out-of-the-box solution for home networking without running cables, I recommend the Actiontec MegaPlug 85 Mbps Ethernet Adapter or equivalent device. Get two, plug them into wall plugs near the broadband router and PS2, respectively, and get your game on.

Customer Review: nice
got these speakers on a budget with shipping from amazon about $50. they are very good i would pay $150 for them. great for hip hop
Customer Review: Good 2.1 speakers for the money paid
These speakers are really powerful, especially good for pop and techno music. The two satellites give a reasonable clear and stable sound, and there is almost no annoying hiss on the background. The reason I put five stars for these speakers instead of four is resulted from the comparison to other products with similar or even a little higher price. I did not find other speakers have 20W subwoofer/6W x 2 satellites with SNR > 96dB for this price. The equalizer in iTunes and foobar2000 can easily decrease the bass level when I listening some light music, so I think the bass is not an issue for myself.

Sonic The Hedgehog (PS3)
Amazon Price: ?44.99
Used Price: ?19.95
Customer Review: DONT BUY
Despite reading the reviews i opted to fork out 16 quid for Sonic The Hedgehog as having been a sonic fan since the age of 9 i decided to ignore the reviews and buy it and see for myself what was the big fuss, hoping i would enjoy. But alas i have wasted 16 quid on what has to be the worst playstation 3 game EVER, the camera angles suck, the voice actors should be shot and the gameplay is absolutely abismal as it basically spends half the time playing the game for you and the other half asking people about crap you care less about it and also the cutscenes have major glitches which but its not just the opening cutscene its every DAMN one which just spoils it for me. I have tried and tried again to get into the game and convince myself that coz its sonic i will like the game but there is no way on god’s green earth i could like this game, so i urge you dear buyer do not waste your money, time or effort on this tragic excuse of a game and look elsewhere as this game pure and simply SUCKS!
Customer Review: bad bad bad….
this game is complete rubbish. first impressions are good, a good intro with superb graphics, but it didnt stay like that. in game it has almost ps2 graphics and thee gameplay is terrible, lots of loading screens. makes you do the most stupidest boring tasks like ‘talk to the shoemaker’ then a loading screen… it goes on..

May I start off by saying that this is a very good rendetion of the classic Sega Genesis games of yester-year. The graphics and sound are alike and the same, which is not a bad thing. All in all this is a very fun game to play but only for the casual gamer on the go. I don’t recomend this game to hardcore gamers who enjoy depth to their game but to the casual on the go gamer. The new version of Madden comes this year with over 150 plays to choose from and many different features taken from the older games. For instance, you can create your own player and instead of using a point system to build his stats, you must take your newly created player and train him in around five different tests to find out his skill level. Do good and ur traded to that team, do bad and well, lets just say you should start over and try again. Madden 2003 is a very good portable tried and true game of football for the casual on the go gamer and for someone who just wants to waist an hour or two on the plane. Overall I rate this game a four out of five stars mainly because it is and “rerelease” of the Sega Genesis madden of yester-year. Buy this game for the fun factor not the depth of it.
Customer Review: this is a poor excuse for a madden game
I hate this game and if your a madden freak you might get it for colletion but not for fun.it:boring,no fun at all.but all in all the best thing is the create-a-player thats it.If you know madden ,this madden game looks like madden 1996 on SNES.i am going to tell you the pro’s and con’s for you can understand. PRO’S:Create-a-player is great but not that all great Got all teams even all madden but i got to give them credict..they try to give them a cool inzone dane its got link play action..2p action CON’S:game play sucks like hell…thats right i said hell i told you about the grahics it look like 1996 madden gets boring real quick i..mean quick well thats all about this stupid game.Im telling the truth i got this game by mistake..i well speak the truth.

Metroid Fusion
Metroid Fusion is a side-scrolling action game that’s more in line with the series’ NES origin than its GameCube contemporary, the first-person action game Metroid Prime. In this one, players take the bounty hunter Samus on an extermination mission through a research facility to kill X parasites–nasty creatures that absorb and assimilate the powers of their host. After she survived an X attack through the use of a vaccine made with X parasite DNA, she can now absorb the parasites to regain health and obtain special powers, like the morph ball, space jump, and wave beam. The problem is that the parasites are quickly making their way through the research lab’s many dangerous projects and subsuming their abilities.

As a special bonus to GameCube owners, Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion can each unlock special features in the other game via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance cable. For example, by completing Metroid Fusion, you can unlock the original NES version of Metroid in Metroid Prime. By completing Metroid Prime, you can unlock Samus’s fusion suit for use in Metroid Prime.

Customer Review: Classic Metroid Style with Some Upgrades
If you’ve played any of the classic Metroids, you know what to expect here. This game is just like its predecessors. You will be dungeon crawling to find power ups for your varia suit. Most of those will be found within a boss you must slay. There are tons of secrets to find as well as an added bonus of fear. Often times you are forced to either flee from the major enemy or to hide until it leaves. It makes for a very intense gaming experience. This is a great game for anyone who loves shooting bad guys and dungeon crawling.
Customer Review: Fantastic GBA game, a must have
This was a very well made Gba game, just like its past on game systems. I love this, and is probably my favorite for Advance. The game is loaded with secret stuff, and it’s so fun to be chased around by Sa-x. The only major drawback I found on this was I bought it here on Amazon, and not long after I bought it I found out it didn’t save right. It just goes to show you you’re taking a risk if you buy games online used, so I recommend getting some games new.

New Airform EVA Carrying Case for Nintendo Ds Lite NDS Lite
Customer Review: PERFECT if you only have a couple of games
It has been a year since I got it. I only carry a couple of games at a time, so it’s perfect for me. It protects the ds very well on the outside and inside (soft). I was only looking for protection and portability, so I didn’t want anything big. Charger fits well if you only carry two games. Mine is pink, same color as the ds.
Customer Review: Practical case
Not much to say. This case is pratical, and it does the job it claims it will do. ‘Nuf said.

Customer Review: Good Protection
I like this case. I wanted something to put over my DS Lite to protect it from scratches and smudges. This case does the trick. Once I put the DS in it though I wanted to take it back out for a second and realized that it was a little difficult to remove the DS. I took my time with it and realized I could push it up and out from the bottom of the case. I did not want a case that would be bulky so I would have no problem fitting it into a carrying case and this case fits the bill. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to protect their DS Lite from scratches and dirty smudges.

Midnight Club Customer Review: Ruined by lazy programming
This game has great graphics, but sadly that is all it has going for it, it plays a little like GTA but only a little, an example of how the gameplay is flawed by sloppy development is that the cars you are racing are all on the same set course, this means that they move along like train carrages down a road. An awfull game.

Formula One Championship Edition (PS3)

In a nutshell:
The most exciting Formula One season for a long time has spawned a console simulation to match with long awaited new online modes and some surprising PSP connectivity options???

The lowdown:
Owning the official FIA license means this game is the only one with all the real 2006 drivers, cars, teams, circuits and rules – but thankfully there’s more to this game than dull simulation. In fact this year’s iteration prides itself on being accessible to everyone with scalable driving aids for every skill level. There’s also a new online version for all versions, where you can compete in a full 18 race season with real human opponents. Other welcome new additions include taking the options of playing as chief engineer through the existing career mode and more subtle change such as computer driven cars that make believable mistakes instead of just robotically keeping to the racing line.

Most exciting moment:
Since the PS2 and PSP versions are coming out at the same time you’re able to transfer data between each, you can even race other players online on the other version, no matter which console they’re playing on.

Since you ask:
Although little is known about the PS3 version of the game so far Sony has demonstrated a way to connect the PSP to it and use the portable console as a fully interactive wing mirror – displaying exactly what is going on behind you in full 3D.

The bottom line:
The PS2 and PSP are in pole position for this welcome racing update.

Customer Review: IF YOU LIKE UNDERSTEER YOU WILL LIKE THIS
ok first the pros: pretty good graphics, not amazing or gt5 prologue levels by any means but they do the job. good sound, the engines are obviously sampled from the real thing and it shows. cons:2006 season so you are still driving old cars with some drivers that have left like shumacher and obviously you cant drive as lewis hamilton. worst of all though…the handling.the cars just dont have any level of adjustment and will only understeer there is no delicate balance at all.you can turn the traction control down but not off and you can adjust the downforce at the rear all you like but the cars just keep on understeering!! unlike other proper driving games like gran turismo where adjusting these settings actually make a proper difference which for me ruins the game.
Customer Review: Excellent game - recomended
This is an excellent game - and being an avid Formula One Grand Prix fan it is easier for me to appreciate just how good this is. It is impressive graphics wise, quite a step forward from the old PS2, and the game play is good also. You have several different modes, a quick race, a championship, a test day, or a five year career mode. The game incorporates all the good elements of the 2006 FIA Formula One world championship, drivers and cars alike, although if there is one complaint it would be the fact that Juan Montoya is still in the McLaren, but obviously the game went to the shelves before that could be rectified. The cars handle and drive well, and can be altered and set up nicely to drive excellently. Just a little complaint again, would be the sometimes jagged nature of the steering, but it’s a minor niggle. There is also an F1TV mode, which allows you to see an entire grand prix race played out on your screen, just as you would on a race weekend. This is a good extra, one that I have always appreciated, and can get surprisingly exciting at “crucial” points in races!! All in all a good game, and definetly recommended.

Customer Review: Girls at the beach
I played the first game and I thought it was harder than that but not really. The girls look great. The water ski race is fun. The outfits are cool. Just takes patience to get enough money to buy things. You get to take pictures of them. a plus but controlling the camera is hard and you have to buy film. Mindless game I play on the treadmill.
Customer Review: A very strange but enjoyable game…
This game is weird… even though the description on the box may have you thinking that this is a game about volleyball and jet ski racing, this game appears to be some kind of distorted perspective on female social hierarchies by the (obviously male) developers. Either that, or a joke. However, there is something really compelling about it, and I’m not just talking about the hot women or the mind-boggling “bounce” physics (mind-boggling in a bad way ie it is distracting to the point it is like hypnosis gone wrong); there is a really addictive and compelling aspect to this game that I can’t quite put my finger on. Despite its flaws and the fact its essentially soft-core pornography this game is addictive. There is always something to do, always swim suits to buy, always friends to make. And its a good game just to chuck on when you’re bored and don’t want to think to hard about anything. The only thing is that the achievements take an insanely long time to get. If you’re playing this game I would recommend setting the voices to Japanese and playing along with music on your HDD. If you set the voices to English, have some balsa wood nearby or something because you are going to want to smash someone over the face with how intensely annoying it is. Also the available soundtrack to this game is like throwing yourself into a tree-shredder. I’d recommend this game to anyone who wanted something more from the Dead or Alive series. And by “more” I really mean “less” as in less clothing.

Customer Review: Turn an old monitor into a TV
I have an old CRT that is still in fine working order but is no longer in use. I have an ancient television that is finally breaking down. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a truly inexpensive new TV. I wanted to find a TV tuner so I could replace the old TV with the CRT.

This product really fit the bill. It was simple to set up and within 10 minutes I had cable TV on the monitor. Keep in mind you’ll need speakers. Any speakers you can use on a PC should work, and they plug right into this box.

I am using it with a 17 inch trinitron CRT monitor and the picture is very nice at 1024 X 768. The box supports much higher res than that.

There are similar devices for a little less money that don’t support higher resolutions. I went with this one so that I could connect an LCD monitor of higher res in the future if I wanted.

I did not try to connect this box with my computer because I was not looking for TV on my PC, so I can’t comment on how easy or hard that is.

Playstation 3 Component AV Cable

May 11th, 2008

In a nutshell:
It may have taken the world by storm with its huge range of genuinely innovative new games but there’s no denying that the Nintendo DS is not exactly the most portable of portable consoles. That’s all changed now with this sleek and sexy update.

The lowdown:
When the Nintendo DS was first announced it was dismissed by many as a white elephant - with a gimmicky interface and underpowered graphics. Over 15 million sales later and the story is a little different. The DS Lite is fully compatible with all existing Nintendo DS (and Game Boy Advance) games but it’s smaller, sleeker and lighter - with a new design that perfectly matches the Nintendo Wii console. The most impressive feature is the new backlit screens which offer the sharpest image ever seen on a portable console. The DS Lite is available in three separate colours: White, Black and Pink.

Most exciting feature:
The DS Lite now has four brightness settings - the highest is brighter than even the PSP and is clearly visible in any lighting condition. That sound? That’ll be Sony executives running to the hills - wearing sunglasses.

Since you ask:
The Nintendo DS is the fast selling console ever in Japan. When the DS Lite was released, it sold out instantly, with queues of over 1,000 people a common sight.

The bottom line:
The DS gets a face lift to become Nintendo’s best looking portable ever. - Harrison Dent

Customer Review: Brilliant Fun
I love this thing, bought one for my girlfriend and since in bought Advanced Wars:Dark Conflict, i have lost my life to this bundle of tricks. Me and my friends are always down the pub playing 3 way battles that can take us upto 8 hours. Whats even more amazing is the battery lide, which lasts all through it without problems. The wi-fi access is cool, lets you play loads of people and with classics like mario kart and brain acadamy this get used more than my 360 (which i thought would be impossible). Probably gonna have to get a 2nd one, so my girlfriend can have her valentines day present back lol.

Customer Review: Takes the piss
I’ve bought some poor products in my time but this one absolutely takes the piss. Poorly made headphones (useless and painful), carry cases which don’t hold games securely, they just bash about in the box, screen protectors which obscure the screen and a static cloth that leaves more crap on your screen than when you started. Not sure if I’m more upset with myself for buying this or with Amazon for having the audacity to stock it.
Customer Review: This ruined my DS!
I was keen to get a screen protector for my DS and as this looked like a nice set of accessories that included protectors for both screens I was keen to get it. Admittedly I made a pigs ear of putting them on and found it impossible to get them in place without air bubbles. After a few attempts at repositioning I took them off and threw them away. It was then that I found that the high gloss screen had become scratchy to the touch with the stylus. These ’screen protectors’ have either left a film of adhesive that is impossible to clean off or stripped the anti-scratch coating that I should have been happy with in the first place. My new DS is ruined and I’ve a good mind to complain to the manufacturer.

For over a decade now fans have been wondering just what a team-up between Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog would be like. Everything from traditional platform games to complex role-playing titles have been suggested, but it’s fair to say nobody imagined that it would finally happen in the form of an athletics simulator. It’s officially licensed from the 2008 Beijing Olympics though (Sega already had the license for their own more traditional tie-in) and contains all the usual events you’d expect including the 100m sprint, swimming, judo, table tennis, hammer throwing and archery. Sega have even been talking about using the new Wii Zapper controller for a spot of clay pigeon shooting.

More than twenty-five characters from both universes will be playable in the game, including not just Mario and Sonic but also Luigi, Tails, Yoshi, Knuckles, Bowser, Doctor Eggman, Princess Peach and Amy. Other characters will have cameos as judges such as Cream the Cat and Toad. You’d expect some characters to be naturally better at some sports than others but each has their own strengths and weakness, with even Sonic’s incredible speed mitigated by his slow acceleration. The whole game is developed by Sega but overseen by legendary Nintendo creator Shigeru Miyamoto, with full tournament and missions modes as well as online leaderboards for all the different events. The name may sound like an April Fool’s joke at first but this crossover could well be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Customer Review: Mario and Sonic at the olyimpic games (DS)
Mario and Sonic is the best DS game I have because it’s graphics are bright and colorful and the controls are amazing! You use every single function the DS has and they all make sense. There are 24 events (more that the wii game) and they are all fun and challenging. The sound is amazing, catchy and so addictive. You can chose up to 16 characters. Once you unlock all the events you can work on circuit or mission mode. You can play with friends up to 4 players with 1 game card but only some of the events are available but still good fun. It’s such a good game. It is way better than the wii game. Just get it and I promise you you’ll love it!
Customer Review: Best game for DS by far!
The legendary game maker’s Nintendo and Sega join and make a FANTASTIC GAME FOR ALL AGES! It’s got over 20 olympic mini-games and 25 other random mini-games. It has Nintendo Wi-fi connection it also has Single-card ds download play and also Multi-card ds download play! it has 90 missions to do and 16 characters to pick from, there is a mode called Circuit mode which is pretty much story mode it has 3 Circuit classes: Beginner’s Class, Advanced Class and Master’s Class, all-together it has 15 circuits and each circuit can take up to 20 minutes so it has lots of gameplay and if you just want to play mini-games instead doing a circuit or mission you can just select “Single Match” mode there you can play all the mini-games you have unlocked so far! If you touch aAthletics you will find 7 minigames to play and unlock, the 1st is 100M, the 2nd is 400M, the 3rd is 400M Hurdles, the 4th is Long Jump, the 5th is Triple Jump, the 6th is Javelin Throw, and the 7th is Hammer Throw and if you go back and touch Aquatics you will find 2 minigames the 1st is 100M Freestyle and the 2nd is 10M Platform, press B to go back and touch Gymnastics and you will find two mini-games the 1st is Trampoline (which is EXCELLENT!) and Vault, again press B to go back and you will find Achery, Table Tennis (Ping Pong), Fencing (EXCELLENT!), Shooting, Cycling and if you’ve unlocked it you will find “Drean Events” tap that and you will find Dream Race, Dream Canoeing, Dream Boxing (EXCELLENT!), Dream Table Tennis (Dream Ping Pong), Dream Basketball, Dream Shooting, Dream Fencing (EXCELLENT!) and Dream Long Jump. There is 416 Medals to earn, there are 16 Trophies to earn, there are 40 empblems to earn and 17 Crowns to earn as well, and you can unlock 10 different original Mario and Sonic songs. Oh yeah one last thing you can store 3 save files.

Playstation 3 Component AV Cable
This high definition component-AV cable is compatible with both PS3 and PS2. On PS3 it offers resolution up to 1080i/720p.

Customer Review: Works perfect with my PS2
Now why do I have to rate how much fun this was? Well anyway, I picked this up for my PS2 after getting an HD LCD TV. Composite video looked like garbage so I needed something. This outputs 480i resolution nicely, sorry I can’t say anything about 1080 or even 720, but I lack anything that even outputs that.

From what I have seen, these cables work with the PS3 as well, but at that point you should probably be using an HDMI connection anyway. For the low price, I can’t argue. Quality is worlds better than what I had before and I would recommend this to every PS2 owner who owns a decent TV.

Customer Review: Also not a game. Turn off the filter
This did a great job of increasing video clarity. Might use it on my HDTV istead of HDMI for awhile.

Customer Review: You need it now!
I’ve got the White 360 the new 1 with a HDMI port and i got the 120gb HDD free with it because it was on offer. I had the old 360 and now my new 1 matches the elite, you do need the 120gb now because with the december update on xbox live market place, it allows you to download games on to your 360. Such as classic arcade games eg Sonic, Street fighter now it lets you get xbox original like Halo 1, Fable and many more also now map packs are in the 1gb+ so you do need it. Also once you upgrade you DON’T need a transfer cable off Microsoft, you can just recover your gamertag and then once you’ve done that anything you bought off marketplace you can re-download on to your new HDD because it knows you have paid for the download. I bought things lke Shivering isles exp for Oblivion and when i went to it, it had a tick next to it that showed i already paid for it so got it again. I think this is brilliant and now PS3 has nothing on 360!!!
Customer Review: Dont Buy It, *Yet*
120 gigabyte will be great for all those demos, videos ect… off Xbox live. All that space will mean you do not have to delete some things to make room for other downloads now and again. Obviously do not buy this if you don’t have Xbox live. A normal 360 game takes up about 100mb of memory space, which is nothing realy. But don’t buy it yet. It has already come down by 20 pounds in the last few months and it will keep dropping if people just don’t buy it!!!!

Customer Review: Fishy Fun!
After the disapointment of the GBA ‘The Incredibles’ Game, I hesitated before buying my 8 year old son this game, fearing another movie tie-in disaster. To be honest, I don’t know why I was suprised that ‘The Incredibles’ was an awful game, in my opinion Movie Tie-ins almost always are. So I am pleased to report that my son has actually really enjoyed playing this one. There is enough variety to keep him interested and challenged, without feeling the need to throw the GBA console across the room. (Yes, he really did do that! Luckily it still works…) Maybe the key point is that this has thought outside of the restrictions of the film, and come up with some ‘what came next’ ideas. Personally I don’t like hand held console games (I am not even convinced that the new generation are really worth it) but this has kept my son happy, so I feel the money was worth it for once.

Customer Review: Not worth any price
This was the first game I bought with my GBA. It is the most repetitive game I have ever played. You’d probably never finish it because you’d have died of boredom before you got half way through. The graphics are reasonable for an early GBA game but that doesn’t make up for the game itself. On each level you do exactly the same thing you did on the last level, mainly walking around looking for map pieces and avoiding the yellow-suited guys who knock your health down slightly if you bump into them. Not hard to complete the levels considering you can see where you’re supposed to be going on the map. Overall, too repitive but has bright graphics.
Customer Review: A challenging game, but too repetitive
This game is great for kids, but not so for adults. The graphics were amazing and the sound was good (it isn’t like those annoying repetitive tunes). You go around looking for bits to Boo’s door and then putting them together like a jigsaw puzzle at the end. Adults and older kids might find this too repetitive but is fun and challenging. Your enemies are the anti-kid monsters in these yellow suits with a suction tubes. You can knock them out is by roaring at them (how cool is that!) Overall a fun and intermediate game!
