Xbox Live 2100 Microsoft Points Card
List Price: ?17.99
Amazon Price: ?16.98
Used Price: ?19.73
Customer Review: Almost a necessity to get most out of your xbox … although ….
Even though X-box 360 is a great console ….. despite the horror of it’s high likelihood of the console itself to stop working early in it’s lifespan ……. you pretty much have to pay for everything …… and i mean almost every little crumb ….. Even after you pay extra money to get yourself a gold suscription card so a single player account has access to online play ….. you still do not have full access to online content …. That’s right in order to be able to access alot of extra content ….. you have to buy a points card which ( or you can be a real idiot and just sign up your credit card to your player account and pay for it there ) gives you limited credit to purchase content for your hard drive. How much is this credit worth in real money and what you can spend it on ? Let me tell you : ?18 gets you 2100 microsoft market points. This means every ?1 gets you 116 points. The main things you wan to purchase are extra content for your games like map packs for multiplayer shooters for example and arcade games that can be downloaded onto your hard drive. Typical prices are 800 points and 400 points. So you won’t really be buying much for what you get with the card. You’ll probably end up buying multiple cards , if you want more content. But keep in mind alot of downloadble content becomes free after a while. Alot of map packs tend to become free after a few months …… but arcade games always seem to cost. A lot of arcade games are new/fun and worth the money …. but so many are just retro games from classic systems … that you could buy for much cheaper as part of compliation retro packs on psp or ps2…. The market place also charges points for things as pety as gamer pictures ( like avatars : small pictures for your gaming profile ) and dashboard themes ( like wallpapers for your desktop …. which end up getting obstructed anyway due to advertisements on your console …. ) Paying pounds for mere image files ….. how greedy can a company be ? When was the last time you paid money to download a mere image onto your PC ??? …. did you pay for that avatar you use at your favourite internet forums ??? ….. did you pay for the wallpaper on your PC desktop that pretty much nobody else sees anyway ??? …..that’s what I thought ….. By the way : Gamer-pictures / multi-packs of gamer-pictures cost : 50-200 points. Dashboard themes cost: 100-300 points. Paying pounds for a few measley image files really does seem out of order …. but that’s corporate greed for you …. Anyway with all the moaning and all …. buying these cards is the only way to get stuff out of reach if you don’t pay for extra content …. although being patient sometimes pays off as some content becomes free later ….. But in the end owning a 360 is becoming an increasingly expensive ordeal , even for console gaming , if you want the best stuff fast …..
Customer Review: RIP OFF!!!!!
You’ve already spent ?280 on a console ?40-50 per gamee, ?60 on a wireless bridge,?40 for live membership and microsoft still want another ?20 for two game dowloads, why should you pay this much fair enough they have developing costs but this is just microsoft ripping you off don’t buy this if no-one buys this you’ll force microsoft onto lowering the price.

Customer Review: As the author of this book…
…I’m a bit biased, but having seen the competition in bookstores, I can honestly say that this book packs more hacks per page with more details and more interesting projects than anything else I’ve seen. The book is a good balance between beginning level bits explaining how to get the most out of regular use of the PSP, troubleshooting problems with the PSP, peripheral hacks explaining how to build your own case for the PSP or an articulating stand for the PSP complete with AC adapter, hacks that will let you share one UMD disk among several friends (either for individual free play or to share a wireless game) and play games over the Internet with a long-distance friend, and more advanced hacks, like full disassembly and reassembly instructions, instructions for adding an external wifi antenna to boost your PSP’s wireless range, and even programming your own home brew code or building and programming an infrared peripheral interface. If you like your PSP and you like tinkering, you should buy my book. It’s 281 pages of useful tips, tricks, and hacks written by myself and contributors like Phillip Torrone and Seth Fogie. Check it out.

Xbox 360 rechargeable battery pack
List Price: ?9.99
Amazon Price: ?9.98
Customer Review: Iv got better
I have 4 rechargeable batteries that, when im using 2 last well longer than 25 hours. I can even prove it! I was playing my brother a match of Gears of war that went on for an unbeleavable amount of time (Around a whole day!) and his batteries died in the middle of the match. I asked what batteries he was using and he said that it was one of these packs. He also said that he recharged it the day before and was anoyed with needing to use the play and charge thing. He was in manchester at the time and we were using thoes headsets that drain battery power. I was using these batterise for a few weeks, I have even tested how long they lasted. They have a brillient lasting time of 36 hours!!! I was shoked but thought lol lol lol, what a propper find they were. These batteries cost me ?49.99 a pack so I guess theye were priced in their propper place. If you dont want to spend that mutch on a pair of batteries then get this, but if you want lasting power for intense gaming with a headset, don’t get this. Good Points: 1. Cheap for the amount of times it will need charging for the casual gamer. 2. It’s a Microsoft product so it will work perfectly with the controler. Bad Points: 1. Dosent last very long with the headset pluged in. 2. Anoying to need to use the plug and charge thing in the midle of a game.
Customer Review: Useful but perhaps a tad overpriced?
If you are using a wireless controller and find yourself forever replacing the batteries, then you might like to consider this. In conjunction with the quick charger kit, this battery will be fully charged in ~2 hours (for a single battery) or ~4 hours (for two in the charger at the same time). This then gives around 20 hours of play, which is pretty good. However, for what is essentially a NI-MH battery cell, it is expensive - especially when you consider the quick charger kit comes with a battery as well and is only a third more expensive. Having said that, it’s easier, faster and perhaps cheaper than using normal rechargeable NI-MH AA batteries. The alternative is the play and charge kit, but either you need to plan it in advance or have the wireless controller connected to the console for a period of time - kinda defeating the object of it being wireless in the first instance!
