Customer Review: Fantastic Quality.
I really didn’t know what to expect when ordering this item other than the countless numbers of appraises when it comes to Hori quality sticks and I must say I’m very impressed. Upon receiving my package the first thing I noticed was how well built the actual stick is when compared to lesser known brands. I’ve always wanted an arcade stick but have been let down before by countless numbers of cheaply made imitations, Hori clearly know their stuff when it comes to near arcade perfection in terms of design and control. This stick works like a dream and will only take the minimum of 5 minutes to get used to if you’ve mainly used a pad for fighting games (like me) it’s very easy to get to grips with. This stick is also perfect for a few games available for XBLA such as Gauntlet, Golden Axe, Fatal Fury, Alien Hominid, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, TMNT Arcade, Super Contra, Streets of Rage 2, etc the list goes on. So far I’ve only tried this stick with the Virtua Fighter 5 Demo (it’s not available in the UK at the moment) a few selected XBLA titles and the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection and it works like a dream. On Street Fighter III Third Strike I was playing better than I ever was before I was really suprised how I was amazingly parrying most of my foes moves with ease, perfect. With Virtua Fighter 5 it works just as you’d expect a stick specifically designed for a game would work… fantastic! I just can’t wait to get my hands on the actual game now. Such an amazing purchase, quite expensive but worth every single penny for fighting game enthusiasts or even XBLA users.
Customer Review: Quality arcade stick by Hori
Hori is the daddy when it comes to arcade sticks for fighting games. This VF5 stick is exactly the same in design and build to that of the DOA4 stick which is quality. I pre-ordered the very rare DOA4 stick from Lik-Sang and was not disappointed when it arrived. If your into your fighting games and remember playing them in the arcades then this is for you. It may take you a few hours playing to adjust to the stick from a paddle but it’s worth your time. The arcade stick sits nicely on your lap and is quite robust but not too heavy. The stick & buttons are very responsive and in a whole the arcade stick just feels & looks well made. I’ve pre-ordered this to go with my DOA4 stick as Hori always do the biz.

Customer Review: Good pony game
If you like ponies or horses, this game is for you. It has excellent graphics and is very realisic. I like the horses, they are very calm and gentle. The scenery is very pretty too. In this game, you can care for, ride and stroke your pony. Of course you can do many other things, but these are the main things. Its hard to get money in this game, but I suppose then it lasts longer. If you like action packed games, this isn’t really for you. Its an extremily calm sort of game, and doesnt require you to think much. I think the downside is that maybe its a bit depressing. The horses seem sad most of the time and you can’t realy do an awful lot. At least you can enter them in races though. ANyway, I’d say this is a general good game.
Customer Review: The BEST game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is really cool! You start off by buying a pony. You can decide if you want to buy a real breed or if you want to make your own one. It is posible to have three ponies at once. The trail rides are SOO real. The graphics are always good. Some people won’t like this game because you don’t get to steer the pony, but to be honest there are so many other things to do that you don’t really have time. You can take photos of animals and look for gates to unlock new trails. A must for all pony lovers!!!!!!!!

Thrustmaster 5.1 Sound System 70w

Customer Review: Set up for a 360? It was a no go for me.
I’m not sure what the manufacturers mean when they say this includes a “console adapter”. There wasn’t anything matching that description in the box I received. I assumed it meant it had an optical lead, or at least some means of plugging into the 360, but it clearly does not - there isn’t an optical port to be found on the thing, which means the only way to get this working with the 360 is through a separate amp. Eventually, I was able to run the thing through my PC’s hoopy external soundcard, but it’s hardly ideal, because cables are everywhere and I have to have my PC turned on in order to use my Xbox. And, for some reason I can’t fathom, it still wouldn’t output 5.1, but only stereo. Switching the Xbox to 5.1 caused the speakers to emit an unpleasant garbled buzzing noise. Generally, disastrous. The system is probably fine otherwise (hence the generous two stars) but it is not, as advertised, the perfect solution for 5.1 on the Xbox 360, since it has neither optical support nor the mysterious “console adapter” to which the manufacturer’s description refers.
Customer Review: Very Good for the price
These speakers produce outstandingly loud and clear surround sound that is extremely beneficial and enjoyable when playing games and listening to music hence the high score. However they are not perfect. I had difficulty setting them up and i still cannot get the center and woofer to work properly (when i do sound tests they simply act as third and fourth front speakers, this isnt really noticable however excpet for slightly in games). I could only even get the woofer and center speakers to work in the fashoin by messing about the the plugs so that theyre only half plugged in(otherwise: no sound). Another criticism i have of the design is that the wires for the speakers and very long and the speakers come with no means of attacking to a wall or suspending. Overall i would recomend this item for its quality and price.

PSP 2000 Console - Piano Black
The PSP is the first truly integrated handheld entertainment system designed to handle multiple applications — music, video, communication, and wireless networking, with games as its primary driver. PSP brings an unparalleled gaming experience to a handheld platform, allowing users to enjoy 3D games, with high-quality, full-motion video, and high-fidelity stereo audio. With graphics rendering capability comparable to that of PlayStation?2, PSP features a 4.3-inch wide screen, high-resolution TFT display. PSP also adopts a newly developed, proprietary compact but high-capacity (1.8GB) optical disc, Universal Media Disc (UMD), as its storage medium.

How to use the PSP 2000 - Piano Black

Customer Review: No Annoying Fingerprints
My only complaint about the original PSP was the gloss finish to the system. I couldn’t hold the system without getting fingerprints all over it and I was constantly cleaning it. I heard about the PSP 2000 and initially I hadn’t planned on buying one. I reconsidered after hearing about some of the improvements.

For starters it is significantly lighter than the original PSP and of course it is thinner. Personally I liked the original size of the system. It is much easier to grip but I do like the lighter weight. It allows me to play my games for an extended period of time.

The system still uses the gloss finish and now the back side of the system has that same finish (similar to the Nintendo DS). With it getting close to winter it’s not too big of a deal but when summer comes that is going to be a problem. On the plus side if you buy the white or the silver PSP you’ll only have to worry about fingerprints on the screen. The black PSP still has the same problem as the original PSP. I would highly recommend getting a screen protector.

The PSP ram memory has been upgraded to 64MB to improve load times. One game I’m definitely seeing is taking advantage of this is Final Fantasy Tactics. On my old PSP this game was plagued by load times. On the 2000 I noticed during battles the action doesn’t pause when a character performs a special move (casting spells or summons, et cetera.) As far as the games themselves loading I’m not seeing a difference.

I purchased the Daxter pack specifically for the 1GB memory card so I could listen to my music at work. In the past I would have never used my PSP as a music player but I’ve had nothing but problems with all the mp3 players I’ve purchased. I was considering getting an iPod when I had the idea to use my PSP. I don’t have to go out and buy me a carrying case because I already own one and now I have my games and my music in one device. Wish I had though of that sooner before I threw my money away on all those media players. I have to say the PSP is not a bad music player. The sound quality is about as good as all my other mp3 players. It’s too bad it does work with the Windows Media Player Sync feature. It would have been nice to be able to Sync all of my playlist.

Overall the PSP is the best handheld out there on the market… at least in my opinion. Of course it seems I’m a minority in this but it definitely beats out the Nintendo DS. There are just more variety of games to choose from on the PSP than the DS. The games look better and they play better because you don’t have to get used to a new control scheme (I’m referring to the stylus on the DS).
